PookieNoodle I like the closed mouth myself! The mouth looks too large on most (to me at least) with the teeth showing, but I got it to re-paint any way (I bought the Chealsea) Yeah, I don't care for open mouths much either (though I think the Bratz open mouth mold is kind of cute, it's not as obnoxiously smiley as the open-mouth Mattel dolls). I'm thinking of getting a Shopping Spree Nolee, but I don't care for the Barbie body much in general. sweatdrop Quote: I was very dissapointed with the Cali girl barbies, one wearing a bandana DOESNT have hair in front!! I was glad I look at it in the store! And they are SCENTED ewwwwww! Hmm? Which line of Cali Girl are you talking about, first or second? I have the one with the bandana from the first line (Christie), she has a full head of hair under the bandana, she's not scented either. sweatdrop From what I understand the new line of Cali Girl is kind of odd though, with a new body and other changes. Quote: I love the fact that they do more skin tones and face shapes now! I dont like the 1980s barbie face shape, kinda creepy. whee But I did love my totally hair barbie and my olympic ice skater barbie as a kid! I would combine them for the ultra OLYMPIC ICE SKATING TOTALLY HAIR BARBIE! blaugh Wheeeee! *Dork* Yeah, I like the new body much better than the old one...still don't care for the stretched-out looking legs much, but they're not as bad as before.

It msut be the second because this was today at target! They have marked down the price on them, but once I saw that I got a my scene to re-paint instead! (I was looking for under $10 and as little stuff with the doll as possible) and all the cali girls where scented! I liked the one with the bandana, but when I pulled the bandana back to check how close the front was rooted, there was only tiny short hair in the front! I checked another to make sure it wasnt just the one! I would have been pissed if I hadnt looked!

Oh! That one had hair! It was a smooth haired doll with a red bandana, the curly haired one was super cute, and I almost bought it! But they are scented and I have allegies to perfumes!

Mine doesn't have any scent as far as I can tell..doesn't say anything about it on the box, either. Strange.. surprised Maybe there was just a scent in the store, like if someone walked by wearing heavy perfume?

PookieNoodle They said on the box, and had holes so you could "test smell" sweatdrop Ahh! I read about it, and it's the second line that has the scent. sweatdrop The first line doesn't, though-and there's one with smooth hair and a red bandana in that, too. I think her hair is rooted normally, too. 3nodding I think the line consisted of Barbie, Christie, Lea, Teresa, and Ken..they have the standard Barbie body instead of the new Cali Girl body, too. I got my Christie in January at Fred Meyer..they're probably still around in some other places where dolls don't sell fast (FM usually has old lines around for a long time, sometimes Toys R Us, Kmart, or Walmart will too if you're lucky).

Has anyone seen the new Fashion Fever dolls? I really liked their new fashion and their presentation of the doll accessories and items! They're not that expensive either (cuz usually the doll outfits cost around that price, but now, they have a free clothing stand too!) heart

Yes. The Fashion Fever Barbies are cool. People are especially crazy over the "Fruits" style versions. (The book "Fruits".) One of the dolls entire costume is ripped off from some cute girl in that book. The one with giant red hair and blue streaks. I have about 40 Barbies in my collection, but the number is always changing because I've had to sell alot of them for bills and such. Right now I love my Model Life Silkstone Barbie and a Closed-mouth My Scene Madison that has gorgeous hair and cool strappy red sandals.
