I hope I can go.... But I just wanted to mention something I saw in an ACen (Anime Central) forum that sounded like a good idea. They had a little Gothic Lolita fashion show as part of the hall masquerade. (not one of the actual organized con events.) People would register their name, a photo of their outfit, and a brand they wanted to represent and arrive in clothing they owned of their chosen brand name. It was also judged, and the winners were given copies of the Gothic & Lolita Bible. And then, afterwards, there was an un-judged portion in which people who made their own pieces could show them off.
I thought it sounded fun. sweatdrop

My best friend and I may be going. We're trying to save up the money, but it's if-y because driving the seven and a half hours would be tough for us. Especially considering that Jess has no sense of direction :lol
But, if I do go, I'll only be dressing sort-of Loli. One of my costumes is Hazuki from Tsukuyomi Moon Phase. She's a Loli-Vampire-Catgirl. Really spanned genres didn't they? I was thinking of entering as Hazuki in the hall cosplay, so if the Tea Party or Meet-Up is on Sunday I wouldn't be dressed the part.
But, if I get to go, I'll definitely want to meet up with other Loli Dollies from our lovely guild!

im in houston
so the only anime ish thing i might be doing is seeing dir en grey in concert.
but have fun at otaku con take alot of pictures and stuff. im sure everyone wants to see

I couldn't possibly go to Otakon. For one thing, I'm in Marching Band and the practices by that time will be all over that month. another thing is....My parents don't really like the fact that I want to go to conventions. Besides, Maryland is a bit too far for me since I can't drive. >.< Grr! Just a few more years!

Ill be there at my table in Artist Alley most of the weekend, selling mostly buttons with EGL themed artwork. Hopefully ill be able to put together a decent outfit to wear one of the days.
