Chalisty Winchester It's really hard to find time or space to exersize for me,so I went and bought a few nifty things, and they really do make a difference.
One is sort of like a backbrace, except it has magnets in it. It's fully adjustable, and helps tighten your tummy muscles as well as sturdy your back. It's not really visable unless you wear supertight clothes. You can wear it all day, that way simply running around the house helps burn more calories.
I also picked up some wrist and ankle weights, as the other,it gives a little extra help to exersizing, and they're great for walking.
And lastly, exersize bands. They are a lifesaver for sick and rainy days. You can work out while sitting or laying on the couch with little to no effort involved, and they can work out any part of the body. They're great if you have little time to work out but still need/want to. biggrin That back brace thing.. do you know what it's called, where you can buy it, and how much it costs? I'd like to try it. whee I think it'd be awesome to wear around school. XD

XD I personally got mine in the exercise department of TJ Maxx. whee From what I've seen, though, each company calls it something different. There are a few that call it an exercise supporter, Bally calls it a Magnetic Slimming Belt. And some call it a really big word I can't spell just to make it look fancy and get more money. xp Depending which brand you get, they can be anywhere between $10 and $25. Mine was I believe $11.99. 3nodding

I wanna take up swimming this year... since I live right by a river... sweatdrop I also need to walk more and stuff.
Curves was GREAT!!! I want to re-join, and I might if I end up living in Oshawa sometime, as there's a Curves along Simcoe St. (where I want to live). My College also has a gym, and I might be able to get a friend to go with me. The treadmills have music... we could play the Rocky theme. xp

I'm going to combine the diet and exericise threads 3nodding Sorry for the page stretching I'm sure this is going to cause sweatdrop lol^.^ And I know I left a couple of posts out, but because this is going to be so long, I kept only the diets and posts that had helpful things in them. I hope no one is offended heart Mimisi even took out one of her own posts. 3nodding mimisi_setsuai The only "diet" Mimisi follows is what everyone already knows: Eating 5 small meals a day spaced evenly apart keeps your energy up and helps you not over eat 3nodding (But you have to make sure they're small, like breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. 3nodding Not breakfast, breakfast, lunch, lunch, dinner.) Also to drink at LEAST 8 ounces of water a day. Mimisi drinks about 3 or 4 liters. 3nodding freakyfred00 Fred has something to say! Take your weight (140) divid it by 10 (14) switch it to oz. and try to drink that much water. =-3 I drink 60oz+ of soda everyday. I figure there has to be some water in it all. whee -poof is gone- Suki Kat I am suppose to eat five small meals a day, too. But I got sick and my stomach doesn't hold much, so I have been drinking a glass of milk or a half bowl of oatmeal in the morning, a small lunch, a small snack (like 10 goldfish crackers) and ramen noodles. Not healthy, I know, but I seem to be losing some weight. Not to mention climbing stairs at school all day helps quite a bit, too Fuzzy Necromancer If your dieting for health reasons rather than simply appearance, hell, for anybody, what you do eat is more important than what you don't. It's better health-wise if you add in healthy foods like veggies and grains than dropping junk food. soggypicklemuncher mimisi_setsuai The only "diet" Mimisi follows is what everyone already knows: Eating 5 small meals a day spaced evenly apart keeps your energy up and helps you not over eat 3nodding (But you have to make sure they're small, like breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. 3nodding Not breakfast, breakfast, lunch, lunch, dinner.) Also to drink at LEAST 8 ounces of water a day. Mimisi drinks about 3 or 4 liters. 3nodding 8 ounces sounds like way too little, the reccomended amount is 8 8-oz glasses, or 64 oz a day. Of course that's a goal and not a reality for most people. Fuzzy Necromancer Also keep in mind, go with what works for you. Contrary to what most nutritionists and doctors tell you, everybody's body has a unique metabolism and needs. Some people are healthier at a large weight, some at low weights, some people need more vitamin C, some less, etc. Even if your trying to lose weight simply for cosmetic reasons, your health should stay your primary concern. Princess Slayer Cat I eat like 3 small meals a day, and then have a large helping of Good Charlotte music. Actually mostly stick with 3 small meals (healthy foods)and like a diet soda every now and then but I drink alot of juice and water. And I fear candy...never give me chocolate... Misshelle I have a very interesting diet plan. i eat 5 to 6 small snacks a day tring to cram in as much calcium in my diet as possible. Mon: cheese, tortilla, ham, bread, fish, hot choclate. Tues: cheese, tortilla, turkey, bread, pork. Wed: cheese, tortilla, fish, bread, fish. Thurs: cheese, tortilla, ham, bread, spagetti. Friday: cheese, tortilla, turkey, bread, fish. Sat: cereal, cheese, pizza. Sun: leftovers. quite repetitive. Filb freakyfred00 Fred has something to say! Take your weight (140) divid it by 10 (14) switch it to oz. and try to drink that much water. =-3 I drink 60oz+ of soda everyday. I figure there has to be some water in it all. whee -poof is gone- If you drink that much soda, it can interfere with your potassium absorption. Just FYI. (even if it's diet) soggypicklemuncher I eat whenever and whatever I feel like eating. I stay away from diet soda though. I used to drink it all the time but it made me feel like crap, giving me headaches and making me feel blah in general. Even if I just have a few sips now I start to get a headache. And it's not just aspartame. Splenda does it to me too. Keistera I try to avoid eating overly starchy foods (white bread, potatoes), and stick to whole grains. Whole-grain/multigrain bread tastes better than white bread, IMHO, and though the pastas have an odd texture... they're pretty good with Rose or alfredo sauce. I'm a pasta freak, though. Stir-fry is good - it uses very little oil, doesn't take long to cook, and when it is done it's a quick, hot meal. Fresh veggies, chicken or beef strips, rice or noodles. A low-carb diet did work, but it was difficult for me to stick to, and the brain needs at least 130 grams of carbs per day to function (as opposed to the 30g that you're allowed on the Atkins diet). Nature works by balancing things -- it's why I think that's the best way to work when it comes to "dieting". As garfield said, "Diet is 'Die' with a 'T' on the end." razz Fresh is important. I don't feel right using foods that aren't "fresh", but sometimes it's necessary. Wah. That's just me, though. I forgot the rest of what I wanted to say, and it's a good thing, too. whee

I used to love swimming whee I felt so good afterwards, and it was fun to boot. Now because of my weight and self-inficted scars, I'm reluctant to start again. And I smoke...and I no longer have a YMCA membership xp

I would love to try DDR ... looks like so much fun ^_^
My daily routine is a half hour speedy walk in the AM followed by 2.5-6 miles on my exercise bike at 11mph. on days its raining I do 2x walk away the pounds tape and then the bike. I was doing up to 15 miles a day on the bike but , kinda got burned out.
I also have this ab lounger thingee...doesnt feel like it does anything so mostly I forget it... sweatdrop But when I do remember to do it I do as many as fits in whatever song happens to come on next xd
I loved going to Curves ^_^ I miss it alot... I was thinking of joining one here in NH....
My diet... ehhh yeah. I eat pretty much what I want, but I use portion control. I drink a ton of water... I have lost over 50 pounds so far... whee

If you tighten your stomach muscles and hold your breath for five seconds, it's equivilent to one sit up. Also, if you're feeling hungry, drink a glass or two of water before you eat. Often times, people confuse being dehydrated with being hungry. Just thought I'd share that. ^.^

When its the summer, i used to go swimming alot.. but then a got really really self consious.. and i mean, it shouldn't matter what other people think, and it shouldn't bother them either.. but i sometimes feel really discusted with my self.. And i don't even eat all that much anymore.. which isn't healthy. I might be starting this, but i never drop a pound on diets... D: i hate it.... anyways..
