Surprise? No, he did not have the element of surprise. And her double-scimitar was still whirling like a moulinette*. She let him come, blades spinning rapidly. A frontal assault was more than fool-hardy, it was madness.
But he could be mad, and he could loose their match.
And he could be glad that the spells on her weapon had deteriorated as far as they had, or he would have suffered a fate worse than death.
If he went through with his planned attack, he would put the primary force of the spin into the block, and the remaining force into a final strike he would be hard pressed to block, charging in like that.

((*I think that's the name of the French quarter-staff style where you spin it))

Deadwolf did have the element of surprise now. Before he had not noticed the sword was spinning. Just before swinging his staff, he stopped short. Deadwolf's body became engulfed with electricity from the saving of it on the ground, his short walk to her from the start of the match, any moment he had not been attacking. The energy that engulfed his body in electricity was released from around him, filling a perimeter (sp?) of 20 feet all around him with electricity. This took a total two seconds.

His first intentions were to hit her and zap her with the electricity he had within himself, and if she had blocked, zapping her there, but when he saw at the last moment she was twirling her blade, he had to stop and then unleashed all the energy he had been saving for those few moments. The electricity itself was at seven thousand volts, enough to do some very good damage. There was now only one way that Deadwolf thought she could get out of this, and somehow, she would still almost be forced to take damage, for the perimeter included above as well, not just in one direction. And since he stood at a six foot distance, it was unlikely she could reach him in time for a quick slash.

Well. She was in a dangerous pickle, and knew it as he stopped. At least she was insulated, so it really shouldn't do too much... Provided she got out of arc distance and shed her knives, but without enough time.
She would not fry like a rat in her grandfather's pan!
Still standing at the edge of the wood, Rage dove to the side and into the shadows as the electicity arced outwards in a bubble. It was drawn to her metal, and touched her, but the power had nothing to arc too as she tumbled into the ShadowPlane that connects all shadows, and thus, the electricity couldn't do any damage.
Coming out, however, was another story. The electricity wasn't arcing through her anymore, or even trying to, but she'd made the life-saving mistake of ShadowWalking without knowing where she was going to.
She fell out of (or into) a tree, catching herself with blade-grip and hands, but scraping her arm against the rough bark, far to high above the ground.
Papa always said not to trust them damn Light Elves. She thought, pulling herself up on her branch and locating herself. Then she shadowWalked to a smilar shadow out his current range, leaving dew at her temples. The panic dive--it hadn't been true Panic, but she 'Tactical ignore the consequences dive' just doesn't work--had taken more strength than a dozen 'Walks. She took the moment to form a plan; or an idea, at least.

((I would like to challenge that, I want to roll the dice to see if it would hit you or not going into the shadow realm and the sincerety of the hit, yiou have nothing about insulation in your weapons or in your profile for that matter.))

((They're sheathed and have leather grips. No metalt touches her. Common sense. I didn't think every dim detail had to be stated.
And if you want possibility, try 4000v no kill--for impossible. And I never said it didn't hit her. I said it didn't have anywhere to go.
But whatever.
You said you didn't want to kill Rage: you ought to start acting like it. The fight-type was in your hands, and you gave some redundant reply. And to me, it seems like you're breaking your own rules.
But maybe that's cause I don't feel well. Whatever. Roll your dice, whatever it hits is the result we'll take.))

Deadwolf had listened, saw, and heard enough. The woman had not replied whether or not it was a spar or a fight to the death, so, he would take it as a fight to the death. Deadwolf looked around about himself and began searching for the young woman. It made no difference to him. He needed a break anyhow. He sat down in the middle where he had been laying before and focused. Relaxing his eyes, and mind, he began gathering up energy again. This time, his whole being began to become very cold like and the flames around the ring began to burn brighter than before, creating more light.

((She's a mage herself, so she understands magic and can feel it. She'd feel the power release, and react accordingly; because that's how I've always played and seen mages played.
And I think the dice say my post clears.
If you're going to change your mind, would you be so kind as to say so next time? And you shouldn't be able to put it off on me when I said it was your choice. And she gave a reply. She said she'd respond to him with like force: if forced to kill, she'd kill.
And I will now be taking more time with my posts.))

She left him to it, resting in the branches of an oak outside his ring of influence, but with a good view. He could burn his excess of power, and she could take a break.
Damned Light Elf. Screw temperence, and screw you. You wanna kill me, at least be brave enough to god-damned say so instead of dancing about it and bluffing to cover your a**. Rage was tickling up to her name, a feat that was very hard to reach.

((you said nothing of being a mage inside your profile, or anything about sensing energy, that is why it is important to be descriptive. therefore, you cannot sense me, therefore you are not a mage, therefore if you decide to go back and change it, the battle is trhough and I won, and I do have a copy of it))

((alright, you know what, forget it, I am going to go ahead and post and let this go, but according to the rules, you are breaking them. that is why you should have been more.......... descriptive in what you were, I saw nothing of a mage, or sensing energy))

Deadwolf became angry, letting the flames grow higher. Then, when most of the surrounding area was bright, he let it sit there. He was gathering energy, not giving or releasing it. He was furious. He crossed his arms in disgust. This was more of a game of cat and mouse than an actual fight. Why didnt he just get up and walk away??? Pride and patience, but both of these however, were wearing very thin.

((Screw it. If you can't use Common Sense, because people with Magic, are generally, on some level, considered Mages, and I've never played a mage that can't use magic. And you broke them first, since you said a fight style had to be picked first, and that was he only thing you had to do. Screw the rules; I'll play my character as she is, and end this fight in one post. If you don't like it, say she suicided or something. I am OUT!

Congradulations, you have succeeded in Angering the silentdraconis.))

Rage jumped into the branches of another tree, leaving him to flame in peace as she leapt into the deapths of the Fea woods. Light Elf arrogance was Light Elf arrogance, and she wasn't in the mood to deal with it. Let him call her a coward, or say she ran, or killed herself, because once in the deeper darkness, she stepped into a shadow and navished, going only she and the Shadows knew where.

((no you knew you were going to lose from the get go, how are you going to not get hit by my lightening trick, you could have slipped and fell back into your own shadow or something, but no, you had to say that you didnt get hit by saying the leather insulated it. you.......SUCK!!!! actually, no you dont suck, your alright for a roleplayer, but in this case its not common sense that makes a roleplayer its the profile damnit.))

((As you say. I thank you for your compliment, and apologize for my lack of imagination.
Although I shall protest that it did hit her, it simply did not harm her, because it had nowhere to go.
And a profile is an outline, not the character itself. Characters evolve beyond the words that first create them, like Adam and Eve who ate from the tree of knowledge. That is all.))
