Kari moved along the corridors, the clicking of Gourry's claws echoing. Then other noises joined in to Gourry's faint rhythm. She paused, and the devil paused with her, allowing her to more clearly hear. "Gourry," she said quietly, "Find the muse." The devil nodded and moved forward at an easy pace, turning at some halls, ignoring others, and pausing often to listen. In the end, Gourry brought her to a hallway that opened upon the scene. She waited quietly.

'Aren' looked at Jasae, a maliscious smirk on her face.
"How sweet. The dense fool is here. Probably with foolish romantic ideas about saving his girl." The black eyes gave the impression of glinting withough the touch of light.

Aris looked inwards lifting a metaphorical eyebrow. She peered out through the firey gem at Jasae and co.

Kari moved fluidly into the room, keeping near the wall, out of the way. She yawned boredly, holding her thin staff lightly. "Gourry, I'm bored," she complained to the animal. Gourry chuckled, a noise like a small landslide. "Darling Kari, you could involve yourself. There seems to be trouble," he said, stating the obvious. She looked towards the group and shrugged. Gourry chuckled again. She stood quietly away from the group of good-doers, watching again.

"huh?" jasaes looks into arens eyes and sighs "possessed....great" he says sarcasticly
how am i supposed to deal with that?...
"aren? bow? sword?"
PostPosted: Fri Aug 11, 2006 11:33 am

"Dead, of course." The 'dark evil something' replied, malisciously mocking, turning slightly with a half step towards the muse, brittle gray grass crumbling to ash beneath black boots. Nightmare and Illusion remained wher Aren had dropped them, tinging the air around them with tastes of the darker sides of their power: paralyzing fear and madness. They raged, but helplessly, like puppets with cut strings. She had ordered, and they were forced to obey, whatever happened on that wide gray plain fringed by brittle lifeless trees and hard cliff walls that echoed harshly the dark words and agony.
The Darkness ignored the projectile as unimportant to itself. "Yes, do stay where you are, princess," It turned her title into an insult. "Stay where you are and die as you deserve. At your own warriors' hands, their coming deaths on your head, weighting your black soul. Their lives forefit for your prideful, childish attempt at getting what you want."

DeVars

deVars needn't another word. It was all said in for him by Wrath - what the princess decide is where he'll try not to figure soon. No skips were to be made of this choice.

The wolf's teeth continued unobstructed, at it's back was the valiant snake that drips it's fangs of venom coming closer to the blade of wolf.

There was no doubt in his mind. What follows is what follows.

Either that or Claire could just obstruct on her own will. Though, basing from deVars' past actions - Claire is gonna be with him all the way.

The 'dark evil something' laughed its dark, evil laugh. "You fools. It will be my pleasure to grind you into dust and draw you into eternal night." 'Aren' turned her head towards Beginner, utter darkness gather ing around her right hand, shaping into a demonic claw.
People say that the night is dark, or that it is dark when the moon sleeps, but they are mistaken. Compared to that demonic arm, the shadows of starlit gloom, or cloudy night, were truly bright, as brilliant as the sun that breaks through the clouds on a stormy day. "And I will begin with you." The Darkness's voice resounded in the marrow of bones and minds, malicious, smooth and silken, sweet, but promising doom, weighing in with opressive despair, and utterly damning all at once.

jasae ran forward managing by pure chance to trip pinning 'arens' demon arm under the naginata and himself falling on top of her

((luck one evil demonic forces trying to stop muses zero! blaugh ))

It was by pure luck that 'she' cast him aside so swiftly--the sheer amount of dark energy gathering around and feeding into that demonic construct of Darkness was more than enough to kill the Muse if he carelessly crossed the line. Yet Lady Luck was with him--or maybe a bit of Aren--and the being shoved with its human arm to throw the poor boy away.
But not before the glow of his power crackled against the omnipresent hum of negative energy, the two fields clashing solidly and marking both with mild burns. The ones that shwoed on the Darkness/Aren's skin steamed for an instant before turning smooth, void black.
The Darkness hissed, rising to its feet without the contractions of muscle necessary for a human. The claws on the dark hand flexed, then reached again for Beginner. It was not to be disuaded from its course. The Muse could die next. After this flare of Light-Power was extinguished, like a candle that bows before the fury of a gale. She was new. She was weak. She had dismissed her guide with fear, loathing, even. It would have loved to turn her, but that light was its most present and serious danger--the others were like sheep with no keeper. Alone and bleating, helpless in their solitude. A lion could claim them one by one with a fell swoop of its paw, or jerk of fang.

It was not by luck that the once Savior of Dreams stopped.
All movement halted.
Time had stopped for all but the truest of Saviors.
Jasae.
Jekk.
Kikuka.
And the small fragment of Aren that remained.
Jekk rose up to his remaining foot.
He duplicated the movement of the Darkness and contracted no muscle.
His balance wavered not.
"Mother!"
Jekk's voice pierced time itself.
"Be my strength!"
And then, for the briefest of moments outside of time, there was the Mother Oak, the root of Myria.
A single branch fell from her heights at Jekk's foot.
"Thank you, Mother."
And the Oak was no longer present.
The branch, though.
It moved.
It slithered up to the stump that once was the Savior of Time's leg.
And it remained there.
Small roots entered his skin.
And the branch took on the shape of a leg and foot.
Jekk was whole once more.
And now he turned to his closest friends one by one.
"Jasae, remember your strengths and never give up. Do not stray."
"Aren, you are still there. I can hear you. Do not stray, remember that your strength is the strength of this land and not even Darkness can pierce it."
"Kikuka, my love. You have strained yourself to find all of the Saviors but have missed the strongest of them all."
Jekk's finger pointed straight as an arrow to her heart.
"You. Kikuka, Savior of Wind, do not stray. Remember your dreams. This land is also your strength. Here, you cannot fall. I love you and will fight beside you forever. Even after I die."
And as he finished speaking, time resumed it's course.
But there were slight differences.
Kikuka had not moved a muscle, but the blade flying towards her now flew away.
Jasae had not moved either, but his feet rested on the ground.
Aren had not stirred, but the Darkness could not reach the light.
And Jekk.
Jekk did not lay where he had fallen.
All the saviors present, were circled around the manifestation of Darkness.
And the spirits of those who were not, looked on from above.
A bow and sword rested in the hands of the Muse.
Nightmare and Illusion.
And the Savior of Time stood himself directly before Aren.
His new leg, held strong.
"Welcome to Myria."

The wolf's fang spun in a tight rotation as it got deflected from it's path. The snake following behind moved quickly and bit the blunt end of it to keep it from hitting someone innocent. deVars quickly grabbed on to the snakes tail and pulled it up, making the new blade end snap near where the princess had been.

His eyes show nothing. It wasn't what he was expecting. But having one of her saviors defend her would be a sign of their trust to the motionless girl. The whip-like Rev Anthem now became rigid as the wolf-fang dripping with saliva tip extended high up.

None of those reasons bore through his mind. Perhaps, this was fate afterall. The princess, in her own way, deflected the attack afterall.

Claire whispered to him again, guiding where to angle his arm - the change of scenario at his back weren't left out of his attention. Claire was there to see it all.

He twisted and quickly turned around, his arm moving into a slanting downward motion towards the evil manifestation growing outside her arm. The polearm would hit the space on her dark wrist with a tapering slant down to the ground. It was the puppet master. And that is the one contesting control of Myria against the princess.

Kikuka

There was a new light in Kikuka's eyes as Jekk spoke. Her hope on her land and her trust in her saviors was reignighted. Kiku rose to her feet, magestic and as beautiful as always. Her emerald green eyes were clear and held her strength. Her face was no longer smudged with tears and dirt. She stood strong.

A breeze blew through the land of Myria, wrapping tendrils of breeze like fingers around the Princess, willing her to tell them what her bidding was. Her light blue hair flew out behind her, her dress ruffled with the breeze that scoured the land, wiping the darkness off and carrying it gently away. The last words of her mother came to her.

Be strong! Her mother told her. Do not let the darkness envelope you and carry you away from your own strength. Said the gentle voice. Enfold the Darkness in light, show it strength, and it will falter. Show it hope, and it will kneel. Show it love- and it will give way. The wind carried the last words to all the saviors, Aren, Jekk, Jasea, deVars, Beginner and Kari.

Good luck and may the winds of love carry you. And with that, a new light dawned all around. The light of love was shining, the wind of strength and hope blew new life through the re-awakening land.

"Darkness," Came Kikuka's pure voice, never did it falter. "I will not bow to you, but I will not fight you either." She paused. "I will do as my mother says and follow her guidance, I will love, and with that you can never hurt me." Kiku held her head high and offered her hand to Jekk. She offered her hand to the spirit of Aren that she knew was still with them all. She offered her hand to all the saviors, willing them to join hands and prevail.

"We will love- and we will beat you!" There came a blast of wind at their backs with Kiku's wind. It embraced the saviors, not threatening to blow them down, it turned it's strength on the darkness that stood before them. With the wind flew a dove. A white dove, a bird of hope, strength, and most importantly, love.
