I watched it a couple weeks ago, and I must say bravo. I loved it.

Ah! I saw this movie a while ago. I felt it focused a little too much on Nana, and not alot on Hachi. Maybe there will be more of Hachi's past in number 2?

Actually, I hear that the second movie is still going to focus on Nana Osaki. But I definately agree with you on the fact that it's not really focused on Hachi.

I thought the movie was okay...and I'm glad I saw it. But it didn't rank terribly high for me. I couldn't help but feel the move would be very confusing to someone who wasn't familiar with the manga.

I've uploaded the NANA 2 Teaser Trailer 1 for you all. biggrin (thanks to Nana-nana)

Yui doesn't sound anything like Aoi....which really makes me sad. sad I seriously wish that Aoi-san could've been Hachi. It's such a disappoinment since she's being replaced. She made the PERFECT Hachi, in my opinion. But hopefully Yui does a really good job.

Yes! I agree there! I watched it, and Jun says to shouji "You know what Nana was like before you." Watching the anime, i know. If you were watching that film never reading the manga or watching the anime, it would be rather confusing.

@ Jrockislove: Really? Ah thats a shame, i don't think there is enough about Hachi at all, nothing about her past in the first film anyway.

Yeah, I agree. Plus Aoi Miyazaki was soo cute as Hachi too! heart

I'm sure that anyone who didn't read the manga first would've been wondering who the heck was Shouji and how he and Hachi met. sweatdrop

But I suppose that's how some people started with the manga.

Yeah, i guess the makers of the film assumed everyone who would go to watch it would be a Nana fan, so they would know the story anyway.

Really? that many of you liked it? No offence to anyone who did, but I thought it felt like it was filmed in someone's basement with a budget of $20. I agree with most of you that Aoi Miyazaki was good, and I didn't have any problem with her playing Hachi, but what I didn't like was the acting of Mika Nakashima. To me, it felt like she wasn't really putting her emotions into it or was too shy. I also agreed with whoever said that they thought that Ren's character didn't really fit the part. Now, i'm only hoping that Nobuo Kyou will. Anyway, hope I don't seem to negative... sweatdrop

Yeah Mika-san looked the part but she didn't have the traits of Nana. Ryuhei Matsuda didn't play Ren all that well either... gonk I expected him to be much more handsome. You don't sound negative at all! It's all part of your opinion. Mine are actually very similar to yours. 3nodding

i think that they focus on nana o. more because of her popularity. when i was living in japan, i noticed a lot of people liked nana o. over nana k. but it could also be because nana o has a more interesting story? i mean, dont get me wrong, hachi's is plenty cute and melodramatic, but nana o's seems to be a bit more realistic..... just my opinion.

That makes plenty of sense.

That's also my problem with movies. They can never fit in everything in detail. *sigh*

I must say that I don't like most of the actors in the movie look wise. I just don't think that they look that much like the character. However, I like Mika as Nana and I kind of like Yui more than Aoi. Aoi might have a better voice for the part though. And god, is that teaser just so good? I can't wait till NANA 2 comes out.
