I wasn't sure about posting new topics, so sorry if I'm breaking a rule. Anyway, this is to discuss Nana the Movie. If you like it, if you don't. Your opinions on it and whatnot. Also, I'm most interested on people's opinion on the rumour that Aoi Miyazaki (Hachi) will be switched out for Yui Ichikawa for the sequel. I don't think it is on youtube, but you can download it off of Animesuki. It's not licenced so it's legal to.

henshin I don't think it is on youtube, but you can download it off of Animesuki. It's not licenced so it's legal to. Uh, well, it's still not legal but it's the only access we have, right? xd

okay.... i ordered the movie two weks ago and the nice man at my local anime store said that it would be in in a week. i came in a week later and there was a mixup at the ups storee and they didnt ship it yet! Also my copy of shojo beat that has the next chapter of nana in it hasnt come yet. the demon lord of terror is raining his vengence upon me! Oh well... i just went in yesterday and picked up the movie. it is so so so amazing! My only problem with it is that they don't delve into hachi's past at all. they completely ignore the goings on between her and takashi asano. My only other problem is that ren doesn't look as cool as he does in the manga. his face is too small in the movie and he just looks like the spiky hair doesnt fit. I loved the music. I loved the acting. I love nana! whee

I just posted news about the recasting that was done for the sequel... check out the News & Announcements sticky for more info if you haven't heard about it.
What are your opinions on the changes? I'm not familiar with either of the actors they chose, but I can say that I'm not too upset over it. Aoi made a cute Hachi, but she didn't really fit my image of what Hachi should look like. I think Yui looks better for the part. The new Ren looks pretty good, too. I guess it all comes down to their acting skills.

I am sad about Aoi Miyazaki leaving because I thought she was cute as a button. She fit Hachi in my mind.
