The leopardess looks down at her paws, though the compliment wasen't unwanted on her hunting, she was good, afterall. "I ended up getting used to it, " She said, even though this wasen't much of an explanation.

"I have to be quiet if there aren't tree's around to climb. " She pondered a bit after saying this, though. The cheetah haden't known what she was, perhaps she didn't know leopards climbed trees?

Chuakari's eyes follow Karama's back down to her paws, and she smiles. She looks back up when she is given an explanation for how quiet she walks.

"Really?" she blinks, glancing back down at her feet. Then she realizes that Karama mentioned climbing trees, and her head snaps back up at once, "You can climb trees? Really? That's neat! I bet it's a real smart thing to do."

The female leopard nods, stopping and holding a paw up, upside-down so the pads showed, then unseathed her claws. "Comapre these with yours, " Unlike a cheetahs claws, leopards claws could be seathed, and the leopards paw seemed a bit wider.

"They help me climb. "

Kari stops and looks at Karama's paw curiously, blinking as she saw them unsheath. Her claws can't do that! She holds out one of her own paws, and holds it near Karama's.

"Ooh! Your paw is different than mine!" she squeaks.

"Yeah, mine is for climbing, yours is for running. " She said, before resuming the walk towards the waterhole. "Everything has its way, lions are strong, cheetah are fast, leopards climb, wild dogs are clever and hyena's.. " She paused. "Are many things. "

Karama added with a roll of her eyes, not really finding anything to say about them that woulden't be a compliment.

Chuakari listens attentively to everything that Karama says, looking, and even sounding, a bit amazed at what she says.

"Really?" she asks, "I know what lions and wild dogs are! I met some of them before. What are hyenas?" She searches her mind for any idea of what they may be, but all she can recall is Laio vaguely mentioning something that sounded like hyena-dogs. Maybe that's what Karama means.

"Their not good things, " She said, for lack of anything to explain them. "They have a furry neck, an large shoulders. " The leopardess attempted to explain, as the water hole was starting to arrive at the horizon.

"They aren't good?" she repeats, then makes a face, "Ok, I'll remember that! If you say they aren't good, they can't be." However her head tilts at the furry neck explanation, and then she tries to look at the top of her own head, but only manages to look upward.

"Don't cheetahs have furry necks?" she asks, "Not big shoulders though.."

The leopardess blinks, then chuckles. "Yeah, they do. But hyena's have bigger and longer ones, and cheetah are taller. " She attempts to explain, even if cheetah were taller, hyena's always seemed to get a better hand on it.

"They.. Killed my mom. " No, the woulden't say she was fond of her mother, she hated her mother, but she coulden't say much about her brothers, she didn't know if they were dead.

She tries to imagine a hyena based on Karama's description, and the image that pops into her mind is a short, chubby cheetah with a lot of fuzz on it's neck. Her nose wrinkles at the thought, something like that can't be dangerous, can it?

Kari blinks when Karama says what happened to her mother, frowning. Maybe hyenas are bad.

"T-they aren't good, then," she murmurs, "Not like leopards, leopards are best." An odd comment, maybe, but her attempt to find something to say.

"Everything is best if it knows how to be. "

She said calmly, looking down at the cheetah cub for a moment, before looking foreward once more as the watering hole got closer and closer, and, looked bigger.

Chuakari gives a fervent nod at what Karama says, agreeing with her happily. Of course, she isn't quite sure what is meant by the comment, but she's still going to agree with it! She contents herself to walk along towards the water, realizing that she's getting thirsty herself now.

When they arrived at the water, the leopardess stopped a few meters away, crouching cautiously and kicking a rock in the water. No, that was a log, not a crocodile, this time.

Moving foreward, she lowered her head and drank, ears back to her anything that might be behind her other than the cheetah, trying to drink as quickly as she could, it was never good to stay at theedge here too long.

Kari is without any of the concerns of the leopardess, and she wastes no time splashing around at the edges of the body of water as Karama kicks the rock into the water. She giggles to herself, and then leans down and takes a drink.

Her drink is short, and she backs away from the water and shakes the water off of her paws and muzzle- but she's extra careful about where she shakes so that she doesn't accidentally get Karama wet. You never know if someone doesn't like getting wet..

Satisfied, the leopard backs away, looking at the waters surface as a log-like head peeps out near the other side of the bank, and soon a lizard larger than a lion crawled out, massive jaws open.

It was good that it was at the other bank, the leopard concluded, tking a few steps backwards before actually turning to the cub. "Lets go, " She mumbled, trotting away from the water, leaving the crocodile to bathe in the sun.
