"Having a family sounds very nice..." Lior imagined himself having a family, and they fun things they'd do togethor, the fights they'd have, and everything else a family would do. The light wyrm saw the young Melayna dive under the water and tried to see what the female was doing, sensing something was going on, but the water blurred his efforts so he just waited until she came back up to ask what happened.

It had worked! The little river wyrm slid back out of the water, pleased with herself as the chilled block disappeared down the river. She was smiling, pleased with herself. "Sorry for vanishing."

"It's alright." He craned his neck to see the block of ice float down the river. "Did you make that?"

"Yeah. Sorta on accident, but I did." Mela beamed proudly, tail flicking the water off her scales. "You like?"

"That's cool, even if by accident." Lior stood up and started to flap his wings, but not enough to lift off, just getting them warmed up. "Yes, I like very much." He nodded to the water dragon, still flapping his wings.

Mela looked with envy at the wings, knowing she would never be able to fly. It was good for a water wyrm, but she wanted to fly other than being lifted by her father.

Lior noticed how Melayna was looking at his wings and asked "Guess you can't fly...?" He folded his wings, not wanting to make the young water dragon feel bad for not having wings.

"Nope. Water wyrms don't have wings." Mela shrugged with her top limbs. "I used to fly a lot, though. Dad would wrap me up with his tail and take me soaring over the sand pits. It was always beautiful." She neglected to mention the place where he had always taken her, a place where a hybrid named Thyra had spent days practicing her flaming among the sands and made beautiful glass.

"It sounds nice. I don't think I've been to the sand pits before..." The light dragon thought, twitching his tail about. "No... I can't recall being there..." He looked up as two birds darted overhead, chirping while they flew. "Whats the place like...?" Lior returned his gaze back to the youngling to wait patiently for an answer.

"It's a huge plain with sand everywhere. There are solid peices of land stretching like spider webs to seperate the pits. Wyrms sometimes lay eggs there. It's where my dad found my brother and me, and kept us safe." Mela smiled, remembering the image of the home.

"That's interesting..." The light wyrm tried to imagine the place. "I might go there one day." Lior laid down and curled up. "Do you visit there often...?"

"I have to to take care of Thor and see dad. Him and mom lives in the volcano, but dad doesn't want Thor near them. He says that if Thor is near him and mom, he'll be affected by stuff they do." Mela frowned. "They don't even let me that close to the volcano most times."

Mela looked down. "Father and mother love eachother very much. Mother's parents were the same way. Dad thinks that since mom's eggs were around them while they broadcasted their emotions, it made her feel mature emotions quicker than she is supposed to. Y'see... mom's not exactly all grown up yet." She glanced back up at Lior.

"Oh... I see now..." The adult replied after listening to the water dragon. After a pause, Lior tried to think of some conversation to say. "Uh... so, do you prefer rivers or oceans...?"
