Asahi Kumoru RedWerecat Hi! guess I'll introduce myself too. I'm 17, and a foil fencer from VA. I've only been fencing for about a year, but I really enjoy it. I got into it becaiuse my friends dragged me into it, and I ended up loving it! I'm on my highschool team, Green Ronin (which isn't really attached to the school, because they won't let us have a club involving weapons scream ) but I think we're pretty good.(We're ranked pretty high in the state, and we've beat college teams!) I'm not USFA registered, but I'm getting there. Almost all of my friends fence, and we all love it. Um...hmm....the only achievemnt I have in that is coming in third in our dry fencing tournament. Made me pretty happy! My other hobbies are art, writing, swimming and horseback riding, and I'm into sci-fi, anime, werewolves, BtVS, Final Fantasy, and dragons. Do you go to VAF, by any chance? ninja I started about two years ago, fenced for a year before I had to go off to college, and have not been able to get back into it since then. I was told we had a school fencing club, but it never happened crying And now my elbow and knee are injured, so I have to stay off the strip for the time being. All I've done is foil, and I don't have a ranking or anything because I'm still fairly new at it and I'm not confident enough to enter any tournaments yet. Right now, I plan on sticking with foil, though, although I would love to learn kendo. um...VAF? I'm not sure what you mean by that... sweatdrop soo....probably not. oh wait, I get it...um, no, I'm not, but I think we've had tournaments with them. We practice out of the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness center, soo....

Hi!!
I'm 22 (for one more day anyway), I live in California and I fence sabre. I've been known to pick up a foil or an epee to be a human pin cushion but it really isn't my thing. At any rate I've been fencing on and off for a little over 5 years. I'm really not that good but speed, enthusiasm and adrenaline make up for what I lack in talent. My "claim to fame" is being captain of the sabre team for a year at UCSC. It wasn't because I was the best sabre fencer, it was because I was the most organized and my love of the blade brought in a lot of new members. Interestingly enough our sabre team placed higher that year in the local college events than the foil and epee, because while they were sitting around drinking beers the sabre fencers were practicing their butts off!
When I first started fencing in my Frosh year of college my mistro comes up to me and looks at my foil gaurd, moved my hand to the proper position, my hand moves back to the way it was, we try this a couple times then he looks at me and says "you don't belong here, go to my sabre class" And that's where I've been ever since!
Nothing makes me happier than a really good sabre bout. I mean that.
I suppose there is some other stuff I like too. . . Spending time with "my sabre fencers" watching movies with swords, talking about fencing, writting, reading, hiking, fishing, cooking, anime, going to theater events. . .really too many things to list whee

Zealth FYI I'm cool with fencing of all types, not just the European styles (refer ANYONE who engages in swordplay to this guild). I actually mess around with bokkens and shinais myself to get my mind off of the strict linear styles of fighting I'm accustomed to. I even have a pair of my friend's sais ninja which... keep ending up at my house... idk wether she is trying to give them to me or she just keeps forgetting that they are here... xd Cool^^ A good friend of mine was teaching me to use a katana, but he left. crying It seemed really fun though!

Hey guys, I'm Kat: A fifteen (16 in January...so close!) Epee-ist from waaaayy over here in Massachusetts. That's right all you Cali-dwellers. I'm a New England-er! I started fencing last November and have been in about two Tournaments (One was held at my school). I like Epee, if you can't tell, and never really have picked up any other weapon ( sweatdrop ). I want to get better, but I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate HATE running. (I had breathing problems as a kid, so I avoided alot of exsercise. As a result, my legs can run about 3 miles in twenty or so minutes, while it takes the same amount of time for my heart and lungs to do a third of that.) Two of my best friends are saberists and another one of my Epee friends is a killer during practice. (She accidentaly hit my coach in the throat one day, through 4 layers of padding!) So anyways that's the fencing side of me. Otherwise I like Fantasy books, anime, manga etc.

Hey; I'm a sabrist from the Pacific NW division. I used to play around with foil a bit, but it wasn't quite my thing (it was too boring. it's not fast enough, so that rules out epee too). I come from a club that's been around a few years now, we don't have any outstanding achievements, but it's a place to practice. I compete succussfully quite often; if I can scrape up enough $$$ JO's and nationals is in my future this year. Apart from fencing, which isn't a lot because I'm a hardcore sabrist, I am a complete dork: I enjoy physics, calculus, and Roman history.

I'm 18 and I live in california. I am a senior in highschool and I love fencing. I only was able to take the beginners class but hope to continue after Christmas should my body be able to handle the load. I have epilepsy and it's a royal pain. Sabre is my favorite and I really hope to participate in tournaments. I've loved swords all my life, mostly samurai related though. I love stories about vampires and anything involving samurai. Okay, I won't bore you anymore with my babbling. lol

Hehe, I feel so young compared to everyone in this guild since Im only a freshman in Highschool. Though ive only fenced for 3 years, Im loving every bit of fencing! I hope someday to do saber, but I still love the foil. Anyway, I live in VA, in a small town and the only fencing being taught is at the University, so I only get to go twice a week crying ! My friend is the one who got me into fencing, so im greatful to her! ...........dont really know what else to say, so, Hi people!
