Wolffy000 Ayasugii I'm glad I only watch TV about six hours a month. O_o Anyway... the only asinine practices I've noticed as of late are the usual playing-with-pricetags at the grocery store. Y'know, bump up the price of buffalo one week, the next week "HUGE BUFFALO SALE!" sort of thing. Or, as I nearly fell prey to today, the 'fer' deals. Instead of "$2" they'll have a sign saying "2 for $4!"... and there was a "4 for $7!" deal on pop-tarts, and there were oodles of s'mores flavor in the display. eek Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go flog myself for my moment of pop-tart induced consumer whoredom. gonk Yeah, I hate that too. But we all fall prey to pop tarts. Especially Smores Pop-Tarts. >:

Speaking of annoying trying to sell you things you don't need, I tried buying cell phone minutes and had the person behind the counter try and sell me a damned phone.
I ALREADY HAVE A DAMNED PHONE, OKAY! Jesus, I just want MY phone to be recharged. Let alone, he was trying to sell me some piece of s**t phone anyway for money I didn't have.
And he looked/acted exactly like the guys in the new T-Mobile commercial. The "Poser Mobile" guys. Except, y'know, black instead of asian.
And yes, the Smores pop tarts inveritably eat away at your soul until you buy them.

Ahaha. That's why I'm never going to buy an iPod. They're evil. Bling it on annoys the ******** out of me. "ITZ NOT JUST FER KIDS I CAN BLING TO". D<
I like to burn my Pop-tarts and eat the delicious crispy burnt edges. Unless it's a S'mores one. IN WHICH I JUST OPEN THE PACKET AND CHOW DOWN.

Vismund HAHAHAHAHA. I would have gotten that on tape. :] Man, I want to get a Poser Mobile DVD. That'd own. Had I charged my camera, I would. I swear, whenever I go to that market everyone acts REALLY sterotypical. I don't know how people expect me to take them seriously when they express a sterotypical image. That would be kind of great to have those poser mobile guys just doing regular stuff though. I'd love to see them go to Burger King or something.

.....PopTarts? S'Mores PopTarts? *wants* gonk
I have no idea what "Bling it On" or whatever is. I guess I don't watch enough TV.
The last time I was in an electronics store was about three years ago. I'm spoiled, I guess - I still live with my parents, and my dad bought me my phone as a birthday present. And replaced it twice, when he decided he liked the newer models better. *shrug*
Damn it, people, I want PopTarts. D:

I worked at a small advertising agency and the practices were dubious to say the least...
Out clientele were shopping centers; So for one of them, we created a promotion that invite people to buy a certain amount of stuff at that specific shopping mall's stores, then to bring the bills to the concierge in order to get an item.
Well, for that promotion, my collegue draw an illustration of the bag that was a a thousand times prettier than the one that was actually given out.
As for other infamous practices over here, Future Shops (the Canadian equivalent of Best Buys) sellers always pushes customers to buy costly warranties that they rarely respects. xp
