I haven't told anyone that would respond in an overreacted negative way.
Such as my parents.
It'd only hurt people such as this, and seeing as I care deeply about them, I couldn't do that.
Those who I have told, have all been completely accepting and supportive.

No my friends like me for who I am if people no longer wish to be friends with you just for you follow your heart and soul then they aren't true friends

Several of my friends know and accept. My mother and sister (both Catholics), on the other hand, overreact, considering they think anything bad that happens (like the computer going out or something) is the work of the Devil. So I have to keep it hush-hush around them.

If your "friends" left you just because of your religion, then they arn't true firends. True friends stick by you no matter what.

Im not even an actual satanist, but I was actually physically attacked in gerogia because some people found me reading the satanic bible. I was woring at a gamestop at the time and, unsurprisingly, the assholes went in and bought PS2 games

I seem to scare away people first when I tell them I'm a homosexual. :P
My girlfriend understands my views, so when I explained it to her, she's fine with it. I don't know if I've really told anyone else.. A friend or two, but they like such things as well.
And Darth_Nader... sweatdrop Ew, I hope that doesn't happen with me, I live in Georgia as well.

I'm nort sure what my friends would say but my father & his side of ther family would disown me because they are REALLY religious people. I'm not sure what my mother would say either. But nobody knows except to people on this guild that i'm into satanism & that I might become a satanist.

I talked to my mother about becoming a satanist, and I showed her how they are not truey bad people, but soon after I showed her, her exact words were "You do know this is going to be harsher to your father then if you were coming out of the closet. He, or anyone else in the family won't take this well, and you and me should only know about this."
My mother is accepting, as long as she and I knew perfectly what I was getting into, but my deeply Christian bloodline won't take it so lightly and would probably send me to a church.
Oh well, I am grateful my mother is so understanding. I wish others were a little more like that.

toetet die sony liebhabers! wir werden zestoeren sony und sein uebles reich!! also, all of my freinds know about me being satanist, and their all cool about it. most of them think its kind of funny. just about everyone i know (except my parents, who are rather unaware) knows, and is cool with it. even my youth pastor knows (hes cool like that).

I was never disowned by my friends, but my friend Rob was disowned by his "friends." They were all fakes. Plus, Rob is black and so are the fake friends so they all got intolerant and mad. They also blamed me for it, I think. I did not push Rob in away to become a satanist. neither us of told each other "go look this up." We just both were looking it up at that point in our lives and realized that that's the way we've been all of our lives. We both hung out and had the same beliefs and we realized that each other was a satanist. It was kind of cool.
On another note, besides me being satanist, my friend's favorite band is Alkaline Trio, which is also satanic, so she got very interested in looking it up (for about a couple of days). We all got very busy around that time of year so she could never finish looking it up.
The only people who've ever told me that I'm going down the wrong path are my Biology teacher (who is surprisingly very christian) and my very catholic-y former friend Gabe. Of course, the Biology teacher thought she knew everything about life. I admit she's had some life experiences, but I don't think she knows ANYTHING about what I believe in. Gabe, on the other hand... has a problem. He won't take the cotton out of his ears and put it in his mouth. He just refuses to believe something is true unless he knew about it before hand. I think he thinks he's incredibly smart. He didn't believe me when I told him one could fracture his p***s. I have doctors in my family. I'm "hip" with the medical field. I know what's going on. Gabe's father is a gunsmith (and I'm sure Gabe would be very militaristic if he were to become a political leader) and is not authorized to honestly say that one can't fracture his p***s (because one certainly can).
I believe I have babbled off...
Anywho, you are well aware, and I'm glad. Fortunately some of us already made good enough friends to not be douchebags when we finally did find ourselves.

No one I knew really reacted to my conversion because
1.) Anyone that didn't know me already thought I worshiped Satan
2.) Anyone that did know me expected I would someday become a Satanist.

I'm kinda glad when a friend or family member expresses hatred towards my religion, because then I know who is a worthless piece of crap who opposes my Lord, and I accordingly cut off communication with them. Family included. As far as I'm concerned, Satan is eternal, they aren't. They don't mean anything in the long run, and Satan is more important, so I don't let it get me down. Social life and family/friends are not worth compromising your beliefs. Satan is my god, everyone knows it, and they all know to accept it get out of my life. I've been a Satanist for 6 years, and there is an entire branch of my family I haven't seen or spoken to a single time since I found Satan. And it's better that way.

I agree with the first, and strongly disagree with the second. No, Satanists shouldn't have to treat any other person, including other Satanists, equally if they feel they do not deserve it. Hurray for personal discretion. However, might I remind you that Satanism strongly discourages the pretension you're bubbling with. Superiority and inferiority are not so easily measured, and to assume that you, because you identify as a Satanist, are superior in every way over someone who might not identify as a Satanist, is a tad deluded. I urge you to open your eyes.
