 Demyx followed his friend inside, panting a bit but otherwise okay. As Kaleb put away the groceries and busied himself with opening some windows, Demyx looked around.
"So this is your place? It's nice!"
The little Audio's tail swished a bit, Demyx inspecting things on his way over to stand by Kaleb.

Kaleb blinked, glancing around his small apartment. The furniture was rather old, not to mention covered in books, but he did try to keep the books in tidy piles...
He managed to track down the slip of paper that had his cookie recipe on it, and passed it to Demyx to look at. "See, to make cookies we just have to follow these directions, and it should turn out fine." He pulled some measuring cups out of a drawer, and a large bowl and ingredients from various cuboards.Recipe 2/3 cup - butter 3/4 cup sugar 1/2-2 tsp - flavouring 1 1/4 cup - flour 1 tsp - baking powder 1/4 cup - brown sugar 2/3 cup - peanut butter. - Heat oven to 180C, 350F. - Cream sugar and butter. - Beat in egg and flavouring. - Stir in flour and baking powder, don't overmix. - Bake 10-12 minutes, or until brown.

Tilting his head a bit, Demyx took the slip of paper and looked over it. After looking it over for a few minutes, slightly confused green eyes turned to Kaleb.
"All that goes into cookies? Wow..."
Now that he thought about it, he never really had any idea what had gone into the treats he loved so much. For all he knew they could have grown on trees or something.

The scrawny mage smiled. "Yeah, this is a pretty simple recipe too, very easy to make," Kaleb said as he wandered over to the oven and turned it on at the right temperature. He then handed his friend a measuring cup, and pushed over a jar. "I'm going to get the butter, can you put three of these cups full of sugar into that bowl?" He gestured towards the large mixing bowl he had gotten out.

Holding the cup, Demyx looked from it, to the sugar, to the mixing bowl. He blinked a few times before finally giving his answer.
"Okay!"
Simple enough right? Just scoop some sugar into a bowl. And, sure enough, three cups of sugar did find their way into the bowl. Though another cup of sugar found it's way into Dem's mouth the moment Kaleb's back was turned.

Kaleb passed him a bag of brown sugar. "You can put another cups of this brown sugar into the bowl. Uhm, you don't have any peanut allergies or anything?" The mage asked, pausing with a jar of peanut butter in one paw, a spoon in the other.

Demyx happily scooped the new sugar into the bowl, resisting the urge to eat another scoop of it.
"Peanut...allergies?"
The sitarist eyed Kaleb, looking rather confused.
"I erm....no?..."

"Okay," Kaleb chirped, he figured Demyx would definitely know if he had any life-threatening allergies. Especially since cookies often had nuts in them anyway.
The scrawny mage used the knife to scrape the sticky peanut butter out of a measuring cup and into the bowl, and then pulled a large spoon out of a drawer. "Did you want to stir this while I get out an egg?"

Stirring, now that was one bit of cooking he could actually do. Happily taking the spoon, Demyx quickly started the task of stirring.

Kaleb went to the fridge and pulled out an egg, setting it on the counter while Demyx stirred the half-completed cookie mix. Then he pulled a small bottle of vanilla extract from a cuboard, and used a measuring spoon to approximate about a teaspoon.
He peered over Demyx's shoulder to make sure the sugar and butter mixture was blended together before leaning over to add the teaspoon of vanilla flavouring and crack the egg into the bowl.

As Kaleb added new ingredients, Demyx kept up his stirring. He was happy to finally be able to help someone with cooking, as Luxord cooked everything for him back at the castle.

Kaleb pulled out another jar, flour this time, once Demyx had stirred the mixture into a lump-free goo. "Hmm, we need a cup and a half of flour, that's one of these cups, and one of the cups you used for the sugar," the mage said, gesturing to two of the measuring cups on the counter. "Did you want to add the flour while I do the baking powder?"
Kaleb jumped suddenly at a loud beep from the oven. He blushed a bit, and muttered, "I guess the oven is heated up..."

Demyx jumped from the beep as well, looking around wildly before he realized it must have just been the oven. Shaking his head, he blinked at the flour and the cups.
"Kay, I can do that!"
And normally he could, no problem, but under normal circumstances he wouldn't have decided to sneeze the moment he had a full cup of flour. Thus, in a matter of moments, the once tan Demyx found himself rather white instead.

Kaleb blinked a couple times, not daring to turn around. Demyx didn't just sneeze, with a full cup of flour?
He hesitantly ran one had to touch the back of his head, and winced as he noticed his fingers coming back covered in flour. His entire back must be completely covered. The scrawny mage took a deep breath, and turned to see the damage.
And he laughed. Kaleb couldn't remember the last time he laughed that hard, but the sight of Demyx covered from head to toe in white powder, standing in the middle of a miniature cloud, was just too much for the scrawny mage at that moment.
Unfortunatly it wasn't long before his laugh turned into violent sneezing, since he too was on the edge of the cloud, and that just stirred up more flour.

Demyx had a look of panic as Kaleb turned around. What would his friend say about him making such a mess?
"I'm s-s-sorry!..."
His apology, however, was cut off by his own violent sneezing. Oh great. The two of them stuck in a cloud of flour sneezing every few moments. This was sure to turn out well.
