((This thread is for Demyx and Kaleb to make a giant mess bake some cookies. ^_^ ))
Kaleb wandered down the baking goods aisle in the grocery store, a thoughtful look on his face as he went about his usual food shopping. He couldn't quite remembered what he had wanted to pick up from that aisle, but he knew he would be frustrated to return home and realize he had forgotten it.
Kaleb shook his head, scanning the shelves of flours, muffin mixes, cake mixes, cookie mixes... He paused in front of the cookie mixes quite coincidentally, frowning as he tried to remember what it was he was forgetting.

Another had found his way into the grocery store, but not really to do any shopping. The bright sun outside was murder on anyone in all black Like Demyx was, so the little overheated Audio had wandered into the grocery store to soak up the air conditioning a bit.
"Mmrph..."
Green eyes scanned the store, their owner's paw summoning just enough water to dampen the back of his neck so the air would cool him down faster. Now...what to do as he relaxed? He wasn't much of a cook, so this store was rathr useless to him. Wouldn't hurt to have a look around though, right?
Demyx started walking the store, looking around at everything curiously. Useless this stuff may be, but that didn't mean Demyx wasn't interested in it.

Kaleb moved onto the next aisle, figuring he'd go back and try to remember later. In the canned goods aisle he added a can of soup to his basket, already containing some fresh fruit and vegetables, and then threw in some cheap instant noodles. In the cracker aisle, he stopped in his tracks and blinked, recognising a familiar face.
A familiar face who was two steps away from where the crackers ended, and where the cookies started.

Luckily the crackers had caught the sitarist's attention., for the moment at least... Demyx stood there, head tilted, as he examined the various packages. Essentially he was like a child, every little thing was new and interesting to him. He'd been known to even examine Luxord's playing cards when given the chance.
So far Demyx hadn't seemed to notice Kaleb's presence. Perhaps a good thing for the other, as the excitable Organization member most likely would have tackled him down.

Kaleb smiled lopsidedly and approached his friend. He didn't speak up until he was right next to the other, which was probably the best way to avoid a running tackle-hug.
"H-Hi! You're doing grocery shopping too?" Kaleb asked, glancing at the shelves to see what Demyx was looking at. Quite by accident he spotted the crackers he had come down the aisle to get, and he reached for a box to add to his basket.

Demyx jumped a bit, letting out a startled squeak.
"H-huh?!"
Despite the surprise, Demyx immediately settled down upon seeing his friend. Well...settled down in the scared sense, as the sitarist hardly ever actually calmed down.
"Grocery shopping? Nu uh...I can't really cook..."
Demyx gave a slightly embarrased grin, rubbing at the back of his head.
"But it's soooo hot outside...so I came in here for a bit. And..wait.....HI!"
Finally realizing he was talking to 'the cookie man', the blonde grinned happily and gave him a hug. It was brief, thankfully, and soon enough he had released Kaleb and just stood by him with the same grin.

Kaleb was a little surprised at the abrupt change from edgy to happy hug and silly grin, but he couldn't help but grin back. "I can't cook much myself, but nobody is going to cook for me so I learn what I can..." Kaleb blushed a bit, and adjusted his glasses.
Then he smacked his forehead. "That's what I wanted to get, chocolate chips!" He turned to go back to the baking aisle, glancing over his shoulder to see if Demyx would follow.

"Chocolate chips?"
Ears perked up, Demyx following Kaleb much like a lost puppy would.
"Whatcha makin with chocolate chips?"
The sitarist had his own ideas of course, thinking chocolate chips were quite yummy in cookies. But he'd be good and actually listen to what the other was making.

Kaleb blushed quite a bit at the question, he usually just ate the chocolate without making it into anything first. Luckily this time he actually did have a plan for it. "I-I found an old recipe for peanut butter cookies, and chocolate chips make them taste better." He said, now scanning the shelves for the least expensive brand of chocolate.
When the little mage found what he was looking for, quickly snatched them up, and then headed back in the direction they came so he could pick up the last item on his list, chocolate milk.

"You're gonna make cookies?"
Demyx was now practically bounding along behind Kaleb, the idea that his friend actually knew how to make his favorite treat quite exciting to him.
"I love cookies, but I have noooo idea how to make them! Weird, huh?"

"I-I could show you, if you'd like," Kaleb said, finally reaching the dairy aisle where a small carton of chocolate milk made it's way into his basket.
It would probably be too warm for baking cookies on a day like today, but Kaleb figured they could always open the windows to let a breeze through, and there were always cold drinks...

"I'd love that!"
Demyx happily squeaked, bounding around Kaleb even as the other stopped to put the milk into his basket.

The scrawny mage grinned in return as the two of them made their way to the checkout, and Kaleb paid for his groceries.
He stopped right in front of the sliding doors that led out of the small supermarket, and was glad he only had one bag to carry. It looked even warmer out than it had been when he came in, but Kaleb wasn't dressed nearly as badly for the weather as Demyx was. He looked over at the other. "It's a bit of a walk back to my place, if we were going to make cookies..."

Demyx had fidgeted around during the time Kaleb had taken to pay for his groceries. Excited now, he was finding it rather hard to stay still.
As Kaleb came to a stop by the doors, Demyx did as well. The sitarist tilted his head slightly, ears flattening as he looked outside. That was right...it was REALLY hot out there, the entire reason he has been in here in the first place. Despite that, the idea of cookies made him willing to brave the heat.
"That's okay, I don't mind walking...."
Demyx grinned at the other, trying to assure him that he'd be fine. He was a water element afterall, if things got too bad he'd just drench himself and deal with it.

Kaleb smiled back, and pushed his bangs out of his face. "Okay, let's go then!" The scrawny mage took a deep breath and stepped towards the sliding doors, and then out into the heat. He led the way, sticking to the most shaded side of the road, until the pair of them stood outside Kaleb's apartment door while he went searching for his keys.
Once inside the small apartment, Kaleb made quick work of putting away his groceries and opening some windows to let a breeze in.
