I keep it on...granted, the Sims do act like idiots on occasion, but it's fine most of the time.

I have only turned it off once - and that was so i could kill a sim twisted . She still managed to stay safe even though the whole kitchen burnt down around her. Other than that i think it would be impossible to play without free will - especially the way i have been playing lately - one couple has 10 kids - i had to move all the teens out so i could have more babies.

I can leave my sims on free will for a moment or two... then the trouble starts.

For example, last time I played TS2 i'd just bought a bar for my six Moonlumi sims. They were on free will, having some kind of a party... I scroll the screem away for a moment to do something, then go back to watch them again and one of my male sims had flirted with another male sim in front of his girlfriend. xd Their relationship was brought down to -20. heh. I don't trust those two anymore. And the boy sim's aspiration was Popularity, not Romance... but I suppose those two are kinda similar...

I never ever leave it on, it's just the most annoying thing ever. I have to leave it on for my sister however so that when she completly forgets the 5th member of her family and he's wasting away in the bathroom he can use his own brain and walk to the fridge.

No freewill for my Sims ^.^ Otherwise, they end up doing stupid stuff...

I like the stupid things they do with Free will on. I hate how I only have one sim who actually serves meals autonomously. rolleyes

I usually leave freewill on, as it's only a pain when you get the slightly crazy/lonely sims that try to wake sleeping babies and toddlers even when their social bar is full. >_< It's especially helpful when I'm throwing parties, as the sims tend to entertain their guests without my input.

i keep free will on when i'm just playing the game because it can make it mroe interesting.

but when i've been recording things for storytelling or film making, its off in a flash so i can keep them under control

If I'm in a single Sim household, I turn it off - but I usually have multiple Sims on one lot, so Free Will is usually enabled.
