Mvumo smiled back at her. He was glad she was changing the conversation, for he didn't like talking about the darker aspects of his past. "They are magical. They are where I found you." he shook his head. "Don't worry about the Firekin. That is in my past, an unpleasant memory I will let die, if these magical lands will help me."

Aadil slid across the grass and practically laid ontop of Mvumo, "The past is the past, is the past. Ka like the wind they say."
Ka was Aadil's concept of fate or destiny it had a way of running away with you, blowing you along agaisnt your will. With ka she was given Mvumo, but what if Ka were to take him away? She shivered again and barried her face in his mane.
"Promise," she whispered, unsure as to what she was asking that he should promise.

Mvumo blinked at the sudden worry that Aadil seemed to be showing. What was wrong? Had he said the wrong thing? This was why he hated words; they were always missinterpreted or used against you; very rarely were they useful. But he was speaking more with Aadil, and things seemed to be going well. He would do everything in his power to show her that his love was enduring and faithful.
"I promise," he said. He didn't know what he was promising, but he thought that was what Aadil wanted to hear.

That was indeed what she wanted to hear; it was unknown to her as well why she needed to hear it, but it was one of those things that slips of the lips and just feels right.
She loved the smell of him and pushing her face deeper until her nose touched his skin she sniffed and giggled, trying to see if he would giggle as well.
"I was so tired of being alone," she mumbled.

"Me too," Mvumo said, before he gave in and snickered at the strange feeling of Aadil's nose on his skin. "What are you doing?" he asked, slightly confused. But this was the kind of confusion he always enjoyed, for it filled him up with warmth and joy.

"I'm trying to suck in your entire scent so that if you ever leave I know what you smelled like. That and you smell really good like the earth," she snickered again, "tickle?"

Mvumo laughed. "I'm glad I smell good. Now let's see what you smell like," he said, grinning mischieviously before playfully sniffing at her headfur. There was no need to explain that he'd never leave her, that he loved her, for those were just words, and he could tell that Aadil, like himself, did not trust in words. He would just dedicate himself to showing her that he would never leave. For now, that meant enduring the tickle-attacks.

She let out a childish giggle that could convey so much more than her words. It meant she was happy, content, and ready for anything. If him staying meant lounging in the sun and being lazy all day she was perfectly fine with that, and if not she'd still do anything for the dark brown lion beside her, with his mysterious past slowly becoming to unfold.
"I love you, and I know you'll always be there," she giggled again.
