Awesome, awesome link. And now, for my character.
For ease of use I will give him a name, and that name will be... uh... *looks around*
Creed -Gargoyle- Power Level 5. {75pp}
Power Level is merely a scale to discern the greatness of a character. Normal humans are Power Level 1 or 2. Soldiers are 3-5. {pp} are Power Points, the currency Mutants and Masterminds uses during character creation and character evolution. 15pp to a Power Level.
Abilities STR: 18 [+4] INT:10 DEX: 16 [+3] WIS: 16 [+3] CON: 20 [+5] CHA: 10 {30 points}
Abilities are the basics of what makes us us; Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. An average adult human score would be a 10, while 20 is the absolute peak of human perfection - Gold Medal winners at the Olympics, for example. For above-average scores, bonuses are applied to things you do. If the scores are below average, penalties are applied. Strength can actually be measured with this - STR 18 means Creed can lift a maximum of 600 pounds (272.2kg), and be uninhibited by up to 100 pounds (45.36kg) of stuff.
Saves Damage +5 Fortitude +5 Reflex +5 WIll +5
Saves are what we call events where we resist something from happening to us. If we're punched, we'll take a damage save to resist long term damage. If we eat at the cafeteria, it's a Fortitude save to keep from running to the bathroom. If something's about to fall on us, it's a reflex save to get out of the way. If we're being humiliated or taunted, it's a will save to prevent us from ripping their eyes out. Depending on the event, a Difficulty Check (DC) is assigned, and we must roll at or above that number, adding the save bonus, to succeed.
--- Defense: 16/12 {Defense Bonus 2 - 4pp} Initiative: +7 Base Attack Bonus: 5 {Base Attack Bonus 5 - 15pp} -Melee: +9 -Ranged +8 Hero Points: 3
Lots of misc. stuff here. Specifically, Defense is what an attacker has to roll to hit you - essentially it's how well you can avoid getting hit. Based off of Dexterity. Iniative is also based off of Dexterity, and it reflects how quickly you react in combat. Melee and Ranged Attack is how well you can hit something.
Hero Points are awesome little metawidgets that allow your character to pull off something amazing by sheer luck or determination, or both. You can re-roll die rolls and stuff with these babies. The higher the power level, the more hero points you can get. (You get 1 every odd level for free)
Feats {22pp} Ambidexterity, All-out attack, Attack Focus-Claws, Improved Initiative, Iron Will, Extra Limb-Tail, Durability, Dodge, Power Attack, Glowing Eyes, Lightning Reflexes.
Feats are my favorite thing. They really help define a character, and when I get to choose what feats I want and when, I am a happy player. That's why I don't particularly enjoy D&D. Far too confining. Anyway, Ambidex makes it easier for Creed to use both hands in combat. All-out attack lets Creed sacrifice defense for offense. Attack Focus-Claws makes it easier for Creed to hit with his claws since he's so used to them. Improved Initiative makes him quicker when combat starts. Iron Will and Lightning Reflexes give bonuses to their respective saves. Extra Limb-tail is obvious. Durability makes him tough, as Gargoyles are - a Great Sword can only knock him unconscious, not take him out of the game altogether. Dodge adds to his Defense - he can add another +1 if he's one-on-one with someone. Power Attack lets him sacrifice accuracy for damage. Glowing Eyes gives him +3 to intimidate.
I apologize if this is confusing anyone, I can clarify things later.
Skills {8pp} Hide +4 (+7) -DEX Intimidate +4 ( +8 ) -STR Spot +4 (+7) -WIS Move Silently +4 (+7)
Skills allow characters to do specific things better. They're modified by ability scores.
Powers {14pp} Clinging +4 Claws +4 Leaping +2
Clinging allows him to climb at a speed of 20 feet per 6 seconds up vertical surfaces. Claws are a Natural Weapon, and are the equivalent of a long sword's Damage. His opponants will have to roll a DC of 19 to prevent being damaged. Leaping allows him to jump 10 feet as a standing jump.
I'll talk now about Damaging. Characters have hit modifiers that result from taking damage. If you fail a damage save by up to 5, you take one hit and get a negative 1 modifier to everything else you do due to the injury. If you fail by 6-10, not only do you take a hit, but you are also stunned - meaning the next round you can't do anything at all and you lose your dex bonus to defense. Oh, and attackers get a +2 to hit you, too.
If you fail by 11-15, you're unconscious or disabled (stun or lethal). Disabled characters are close to dying, but not dead yet. Though they probably will be soon. If you fail by 16-20 you're already dying, and about to die. If you fail by more than 20.... yeah, SQUISHY.
Damage is split into Stun and Lethal. If you have 4 stun hits and 3 lethal, then your damage save against the next stun hit is at a -7, but only -3 for the next lethal.
Weaknesses {+20pp} Disturbing: -5 to bluff and diplomacy Transformation: Trigger - dawn : turn to stone
Again, I apologize if that's a lot to take in, but I'll explain further if need be. As for racial modifiers, Ramel, I would say +1 str, +1 con, and -2 cha.

Also, my idea for a setting would be Prospero's Island, from The Tempest. After the play, Prospero asks the audience to 'set him free' from being bound to the island - so he can go about his immortal sorcerous ways into making it his kingdom.
Caliban, Sycorax's 'son', could have very well been a Gargoyle, and with Prospero's grand view for his land would want to include more of his kind. So as more and more 'wayward' ships landed on Prospero's island, it grew and began to.. well, prosper. Using the witch Sycorax's hidden stash of spells, Prospero could have sent the island back in time in order to save a rookery of Gargoyles from the Iron Age slaughter. Heck, Prospero could have bamfed his island around enough during time to collect a great amount of refugees that we think were long dead. The Crusades, Magellan's crew, Roanoke.... then once there was a stable community on Prospero's Island, he flung it into its own dimension as to not be bothered by Earth.
With magic and intellect, the island quickly advanced through the technological ages, while still retaining the spiritual inhabitants of the island.
What do you guys think?

Wow, that's impressive. You probably worked from a character sheet though. I need to find one to use. Mostly all I have is how I'd like my char. to look and act, I don't have anything on her physical strengths & weaknesses. I'll probably PM you her stats later on tonight or tomorrow morning. Just a warning though, chances are I'll end up using whitewolf rules for her stats because that's all I have access to. I'm working on a character pic as well. I'm off to hunt for a character sheet.

Actually I just used a character sheet to make sure I didn't forget anything. And if you want I'll help convert your white wolf character - though it'd be just as easy for me to conjure a character from your description into MnM. I love this system and don't find it a bother at all to make characters.
If anyone is wondering how the Gargoyle wings would look in MnM format, it would be something like this:
Wings +4 (20 feet every 6 seconds, 40 feet if not doing anything else) Flaw: Limited - Gliding. For every 10 feet forward, you go down 5 feet. You can only ascend on updrafts. Flaw: Restricted - Wings. If your wings are unable to catch air, you will fall. {2pp}

Jadie hey what about for those who don't have stat sheets, or really know how to play a paper RP? Like me? I played D&D once, and i really have no idea how to play... sweatdrop Well guess what, you're in luck. My hunt was successful. I found a White Wolf character sheet for gargoyles. It's based on a points system, though I'm not sure how many points you're given. The dots that are already filled in are species modifications. Crap! I lost the link to it scream Oh well, good thing I saved it on the computer xd I'll e-mail you guys copies.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the link. Gragoyles Character Sheet

Arcadian That's not a Disney's Gargoyles Gargoyle character sheet, that's something for Vampire the Masquerade - bleh. Big time Bleh. BLEH Yes I know, big bleh, but that was all I could find at the time. Besides, I'm familiar with Vampire, so I had a general idea of how to work it. When I was looking later on I actually found a site for the Disney Gargoyles RPG. This is the link Gargoyles RPG. Follow the other links at the bottom of the page for more info. As you will see, it is the one used at the Gathering.

Ah, wonderful! A description of the Third Race was exactly what I was going to look for next. On Prospero's island, players can also be of the Third Race as a reminder, so you get a whole slew of magicness available to you. And trust me, if you have an idea for a character and that character's abliities, I can make it into a character sheet. I have the power. A description of the Fae

Since most aspects of the RP are coming together, I'm going to work on finalizing the list of rules. Once we're ready to begin, I'll open a new forum and post the rules there. Once that's done and the character's have been approved, we'll be all set to begin!*runs off in a crazed frenzy*

Cool, I can't wait to see what he looks like. Hopefully I'll get mine done either this weekend or early next week. I have all of her stuff sketched out, I just haven't put it all together...literally. I'm going to draw her in full garg. form. I'll probably do the others later. Haven't thought too much about how she should look as a human. Oh well. Also, my pic will be in colored pencils, crayola to be exact. Why? you ask, because I have nothing elso to color it with crying . I also have no scanner, so I have to wait till I see my boyfriend to even get it on the computer.*sigh* I swear, it doesn't get much better than this.

Hey, cool pic. I'm working on mine now. I have the sketch done and I'm working on coloring it. Lazy me, I just started coloring the original without inking first. Oh well, I plan on doing another pic after a while. I guess the only thing to do know is to wait for the okay to start the RP. *sit and waits*
