Felix let out a pout. "Awwwwe, but your so cuddlable!" the wannabe cat-boy whined. "But, I understand. For now that is. No pouncing or annoying or clinging on my behalf, right? Still, I hope you don't mean you expect me to walk away when you're in trouble or something, because that simply won't do." He smiled warmly at Toby's concern. "It can be tough at first, I know. Well, I don't know first hand because I'm thouroughly convinced that my mother put a block in my mind that forces me not to care what other people think of me, but thankfully I have a rediculously high empathy level to make up for it! Thus, I do know that change is scary for some people, and that's just fine. However, ya couldn't have never 'ave told anyone. That's not really living to your fullest if you have to hide one of your atributes that can effect your whole existance..." Felix was on a roll, but Toby probably didn't feel like listening to his rant on 'How To Be An Enriched Human Being: Version 1.0'. His hand had long ago dropped from the ruffling possition on the boy's head and he now switched to clasping his hands together and using Toby's shoulder as a post, propping his chin atop his hands atop the Prefects appendage. "And this is what you get to deal. Opinionated rants on Humanity and Gryffindor-esk protective instincts." He gave a chesure cat of an impersanative grin. "As for you, I'm already use to whining from my little sister, though that's more of a 'Fe-Feeeee, Play with me!!' sort of whining, which you don't seem too keen on. As for worrying, I have the feeling I'll have to drill into your head that I know plenty of locking and scilencing charms to keep unwanted plublicity away."

Toby found himself smiling, feeling reassured by the boy. He seemed like a genuine fellow. "Hm. Well, you must know I don't quite enjoy the Gryffindor lot... Too brave and proud for their own good. Oh, and when I want you to play with me, I'll tell you. Rest assured, you'll know." Feeling more comfortable, Toby found himself loosening the censorship on his words. He gave a mischievious grin, realizing he was the wildest he had been in a long time. "But... I'd rather you not misbehave and go off pointing your wand where it shouldn't be pointed. If you're careful around me, we shouldn't have to worry, I suppose." Looking around the room, Toby thought of what else needed to be said. He easily found more to voice. "I have a reputation to uphold. I will not bow into peer-pressure and will not partake in any delinquent behaviour - juvenile or other. This includes breaking any school rules, or contradicting any morals I have established on my own. I also do not enjoy sports, so please do not ever bring that wretched notion up. You must know these things if we're ever to get along." Toby felt somehow accomplished having been able to successfully say what needed to be said. "Like I said, I'm a hard person to be around. But you're going to have to bear with it to reap the benefits." He hoped Felix would be able to deal with his utter pointlessness. Everything Toby had said was more for himself than for the other boy. And like he had said, Felix just had to bear with it.

Felix watched Toby chatter about his likes and dislikes and couldn't help but smile. It was the first time he'd really seen Toby smile at him. "I tend not to resort to spells in conflicts, so you shouldn't have to worry about that dear Toblerone. Not saying that if someone physically harasses another person I won't punch that bully in the face, but I can be rather intimidating without use of wand or limbs, or even swearing for that matter, when I want to be. And the only peer presure I purposfully give is that which will make people happier in the end, which usually never breaks the rules but maybe bends them a little. The only reason I go to quidditch matches is to watch hot guys in tights on big sticks hitting balls, which I just find utterly halarious, and I don't even know how the scoring system works. That and when I'm needed for moral support, because I have Babybird syndrom, or at least, that's what my mom calls it. I see some one in need and I have to help them, otherwise I feel guilty." Felix let a grin of his own out. "Lucky for you, I'm a very easy person to be around who loves to be challenged, and I do belief your 'benefits' are well worth 'rape-' I mean, 'Reaping'." He blushed a tich bit and looked off to the side, still keeping a light atmosphere while muttering to himself. "Right. Reaping. Of course my mind's not in the gutter. Crazy person..."

Toby smiled, glad to see how accomodating Felix was being. Well, we'll see how long you last. "Right. Well, I'll ultimately be deciding whether you're fortunate enough to get anything. So. You need not worry your little head about that." Toby had smoothly delivered his little remark and was proud of himself for that small achievement. Smiling, he basked in his contentment for a moment. "So, have all of your homework done yet? You know, for some reason, I have a feeling the answer is 'no'..." He gave an amused look at the other boy, anticipating a response. Toby liked being in a condescending role, all the while luring others to become closer to him. He had no idea how it worked, but it was something in the chase that excited him. Perhaps it gave him alleviance from his mundane life. However, one thing was clear: if things continued as they were, life would get a lot more interesting in the near future. He could already feel it.

You will get final say in that, but I can be rather persuasive when I want to be. Felix wanted to voice this mischevious thought, but let it slide for Toby's next question. He gave out a bit of a nervous laugh, as Toby's presumtion was true. "Weeeeell, not all of it all of it. I did get the Charms essay and Divination homework done though! Plus, I still have another day to do the rest of it, so it's all good." He said chipperly. "If only Sofie was into magic studies, then she could help me..." he muttered aloud. "Oh, Sofie is my sister by the way. Though I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box, she's a bloody genius. She talks about Quantum Physics for fun. It's scary. She's only 10." Felix explained with a pathetic puppy dog look on his face.

Toby liked being right and finding things he knew answers for made him feel good. He smiled. "Well, at least some is better than none." He looked around for a brief moment and looked back at the boy. "Wait, you mean to tell me I've gone out of my way to acquire the dim one of the family? As for her, she sounds charming. Maybe you could learn something from her. It'd be a start." He gave a cheeky grin. He intended to push until he could push no more, and amuse himself in the process.

Felix scowled and stuck his tounge out at Toblerone in a childish fashion. "It's not my fault that Becca was only 12 when she was my babysitter! That's where Sofie gets it from. Becca was my muggle nanny, and now she's Sofie's, so she takes Sofie to her college classes now. She's aming for a doctorate in Molecular Science or somethin' like that, and Sofie is absolutely in love with Becca's classes." He explained happily, getting a bit off topic. Cetching himself though, he went back to Toby's first line. "But yes, you've gotten the dumb one, but at least I'm the prettiest." Felix ended with his own cheeky grin.

Toby reached out to pat Felix's arm. "That's very interesting. I love Science. But you're right, I think I got the better looking one. Somehow, I don't think your sister'd appeal quite to my senses." He laughed. Oh god. I'm being all open... and social... The thought scared him, as he didn't know he had it in him. He was also being complimentary and had just reached out to touch the boy. He looked down at his hand, which lay still on the bed. This can't be happening. But Toby realized he did not hate it. The world hadn't ended because he had come out of his shell. Smiling, he continued. "So. What's your favourite class?"

Felix seemed to glow when Toby actually touched him. YES! Physical contact made by choice! "Well, even so, I'd hope she didn't appeal to anyone's senses as she's only 10, looks younger and talks younger- well, the content isn't younger but the voice she talks in is- But anyways, It's happy that you think so still." He grinned happily. Growing tired of standing, Felix joined Toblerone on the bed with a bounce. He had one leg folded under himself and the other hanging off the side of the bed, facing Toby. "Charms and Divination are the ones I like, and the only reason I have them done." He said with a bit of a nervous laugh.

Toby grew happy as Felix sat on the bed. Yay. Closer to me. "Oo, so casting spells and tea-leaving poppycock. How eclectic. I switched out of that horrid class after a bit. I couldn't stand it. I figure if I ever need to predict the future, I could either make it up or get someone else to do it for me. I guess you can do that for me." He smiled at him. "And a Charms boy I can use. Not too great on the execution, myself. I need help handling my wand; I've no coordination whatsoever." He looked even more gladly at the boy. Yes, I'm a helpless boy. Help me.

"Hey, it's not all poppycock. Well, okay, divination is and I'll admit it, but that's what makes it interesting! It's all optomism-oriented, which is what I am too! So yes, if you have the sudden urge to know your horiscope I can more then likely guestimate you one. As for charms," He proped his chin ontop of Toby's shoulder once again and put on a calm and sincere look. "I'll gladly teach you how to handle a 'wand' anyday of the week, babe." The corner of his mouth twitched. "And please feel free to hit me at any time for my horrifically cheesey pick-up lines."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 16, 2006 8:27 pm

"Thanks for the offer, I'll keep you in mind." Toby tensed yet again as Felix's chin came in contact with his shoulder. And yet again, he pulled away. However, this time, gently. At least he's persistent. He smiled awkwardly at the boy. "It's okay, I'm a sucker for all things cheesey. And I can't say it doesn't feel good to be picked-up or pursued. So long as you don't mind if pursue back." Toby was fighting cheese with cheese. This was all resembling an awfully corny situation. But... whatever. Corny things were entertaining things; a guilty pleasure - no matter how much anyone denied it.

Felix knew that once someone had the same reaction twice, it was best not to test your luck the third time. So, Felix made a vow not to lean on Toby unless it was otherwise called for. Well, not for the rest of the day at least. Err, maybe not for that long either. But he would try! So, he settled on leaning against one of the posts of Toby's four-poster, lining his spine up to the peice of mohagony. "Good lad." Fefe replied happily, before regaining his humorful yet sincere tone. "If you stay with me my dear Toblerone, your chances of being the victom of a cheese-licious pick-up attack will increase exponentially! And of course, I'd be thrilled to have you hit on me!" That part was honest. "Unfortunatly, you're going to have a hard time matching my glourious collection of horrific flirtations. Most of them I can't understand how they could possibly work in a normal social setting, but, whatever floats your boat I guess." He said with a melodramatic tone and shrug, before replacing it with a sly grin.
*really crappy paint drawing since I don't have the energy to describe it better then that...

Toby laughed. He liked the idea of that. However, the thought of him "hitting" on another guy scared him. He never thought himself capable of such a thing. It just sounded wrong. "Well, they work on me, if it's any consolation." He liked Felix's care-free attitude. He didn't seem afraid of who he was. A confident, strong person was what Toby needed. "Well, anyways, I've got to go post a letter before it gets dark, so I'd better be going now." He stood and stretched. "I'll see you later, Felix." He was off with a wide grin on his face.

((And now, the hectic holidays are about to begin, so I guess we'll have them encounter another time. Happy holidays!! biggrin ))

Felix grinned back. "A good consolation indeed." He cocked his head to the side and watched Toby stand up, giving a nod as the boy stated his buisness. "Ah, gotchya. In that case; Adieu mijn het vragen Toblerone." His accent rolled happily as he smiled; Not just with his mouth, but his whole physique. Later. Later means again. Again means more Toby!
The thought made his heart want to skip. He'd never gotten particularly close with anyone. But this one... Toby, he wanted to get close with. Not to mention his new discovery on Toby's 'preferences'. This would be an interesting case.

((hopefully that'll be soon, 'cause Finker-lovely is getting sick of having a basically-empty guild sweatdrop . Happy holiday's to you too!!))
