The back of his opponent's sword made contact with the abdomen, pushing the air out of Kyuzo's lungs. His own arms had been his enemy, blocking his view of the incoming weapon, and leaving him unable to react until it was too late. If that had been the blade end, I would surely be dead now. He thought, as he jumped off to the side, looking to get some distance between himself and Ayato until he had regained his composure and was drawing stable breath again.

Although I have been doing well so far. That doesnt change the fact thats hes faster me. And my leg isnt helping that. I have to try to make up for that. He released more of his rieatsu. He then charged at the opponet with his blade raised high in the air. Once he got close enough he smashed it downward.

((we'll have to figure out a winner between us, so any thoughts on how we can decide which of us will win this fight?))
Kyuzo rolled forward to avoid Ayato's blade, quickly rising back to his feet and shifting himself around to face his opponent once again. Tossing his Tanto-sized Zanpakutou upward, he grabbed the hilt in a reverse fashion, the blade now running adjacent to his forearm, with cutting edge facing out. Running inward, his intention was simple; from this position, he would be able to cut his enemy's side without halting his movements, simply sliding the sword across when he passed.

((I suggest we wait until we reach the 4th page or until Nov. 1. After that we will ask a mod to say who wins by performance.)) Ayato quickly took his left hand off his blade and and used it to block the sword attack. Even tought it made a deep cut Ayato manged to grab hold of his blade. He then took his right hand and swung the blade horizontaly at his rib cage.

((I asked a mod, and they suggessted using a dice roll to determine; problem is there is no dice rolls in the guild system.))
His sword trapped in his foes hand left him defenseless, and the incoming sword swing spelled potential doom for Kyuzo. Ayato's superior strength made him formidable, but Hakueti had the speed to avoid the attack, quickly ducking as low as he could get, even though it meant having to let go of his Zanpakutou. From his lower point of gravity, Kyuzo brought his elbow toward the abdomen of his opponent; if he could made contact, it would be enough to make the enemy release his Soul Slayer and allow Kyuzo to reclaim it.

Ayato was hit and dropped Kyuzo's sword. But he acted quickly to make up for the lost. "Way of distruction number 4: White thunder" In stead of aiming for the opponet he shot at the sword hoping it will prevent him from grabbing it. He then took his left foot and attempted to kick the sword out of the way.

((Just an amusing thought; if I made no action, wouldn't the white lightning hit your own foot, since you are both trying to kick the blade and blast it at the same time? lol))
From his still crouching position, Kyuzo was able to side step while perfoming another Shunpo, grabbing up the Zanpakutou by the hilt and dashing back out before either the Kido or the foot could make contact with him or his sword. Direct attacks were getting him nowhere, which called for alteration in battle strategy; he began to Shunpo around, taking swipes with each one. The attacks were very off most of the time, while others were close enough to cause a deal of worry, and happened with as much speed as Hakutei's Reiatsu could allow his movements. If nothing more, the constant movement would be confusing to the eyes of his enemy.

((What i meant is I zapped it, then kicked it. Sorry if I didnt make it clear.))
Ayato kept calm. It would be a shame if I lost this battle because I held back. Im not doing it anymore "Devour, Nitemare." Dark energy surrounded Ayatos blade and then dispersed. His blade was now mutated and alive. It had one huge bulging eye on each side. I may not be able see my opponet. But nitemare will. Then Ayato turned so he was now facing about where Kyuzo would be in a few seconeds. "SchwarzerWind" His blade started glowing and he swung it forward wending a blast of dark energy to where kyuzo was just about to be.

Ayato's attack was waiting for him when he arrived, and was already underway before Kyuzo could flash step out of the way. As the energy struck him head on, he brought his hands up in front of him, and used his Reiatsu to cushion the damage. He was forcibly pushed back, and his clothing had various sheds in it, but his body was still functional. "You've unleashed your Shikai for this battle. I promised that I would not use mine unless my opponent did so first." Zanpakutou now in hand, Hakutei brought up close to him, closing his eyes for a moment as he spoke the name and command. "Gyoushi . . . Shirohi." He said calmly, as the sword became engulfed in a white aura, reshaping the weapon before it faded away. What was left in Kyuzo's hands looked more like a dagger than a sword, with it's curved shape to both the blade and handle. It was completely white, save for black accents indented into it; an unusual weapon to say the least. Swinging it across the air to his side, he left a glowing white streak; a gathering of spiritrons in the air that formed itself into an arrow. Making two more like it at other points around himself, he then pointed his blade tip toward Ayato, at which point the three arrows flew toward him at high speed, ready to pierce him through should they be given the chance.

Ayato quicly rose his blade. and blocked two of the three. The third pierced his right shoulder. Luckily due to his build Ayato had a large pain tollerent and it didnt bother his skills too much. "SchwarzerWind." He swung his blade forward and a dark blast came out of his sword. Then he used a flash step and reappeared to the left of him. "ScwarzerWind." He fired and then showed up behind him. "SchwarzerWind." After he said that he once again dissapeared and reappeared to the right. "SchwarzerWind." After he fired the last blast he flash steped out of the blast range for when the four attacks collide.

With an attack fired from all sides, it left Kyuzo with only one last option; thanks to the exceptionally strong bodies of Shinigami, leaping high enough into the air to avoid the attack of his enemy was simple enough, so he put his strength into his legs and jumped straight up, narrowly avoiding the oncoming series of attacks. Five of those Shikai blasts, a White Lightning, and those Flash Steps . . . he must be running out of reiatsu to be using so many powerful attacks. It's true that I have been using more Shunpo than he is, but i've only used a low level binding art at the beginning, and my Shikai uses spiritual energy from the air, rather than myself. Logically, I should be able to last him out in terms of stamina, since so many of his attacks are based in them. From his place in the air, he cut more arrows into the area surrounding him, commanding them downward. Given the height he went up, the arrows were longer and more scattered about than his last series, but he had managed to make four of his spiritual projectiles, and commanded them downward as he decended back to the ground.

He saw the arrows coming down and he didnt have time to block most of them. He raised his blade and blocked two but the other twoo his his right leg. He doesnt seem to be putting to much rieatsu in his attacks, maybe its because he thinks that Id run out soon without my powerful attacks. "Yo you dont seem to be putting too much rietsu in your attacks. Your planning on me running out before you do. Well you're wrong if you think that way. The size of one's Zanpaktu is in relation to how much rietsu a person has. Judging off of the size of mine, I have alot. I wont run out to easy." The best way to finish this battle is by making him fearful of losing his shinigami powers. Ill start targeting his main areas. Ayato ran foward as fast as he could and stabbed forward at Kyuzo's soul chain.

"There are Shinigami who forcibly supress the size of their Zanpakutou to make them easier to handle. Take a man like Yamammoto-Sotaicho; unrestrained, his Zanpakutou might be as large as the tallest building in Soul Society." Ayato's forward charge was clear; Kyuzo had no difficulty in determining his attack position, and Flash Stepped off to the side to avoid the strike. "I force my Zanpakutou into this smaller size for easy handling; if anything, the ability to shrink the size of your weapon is a testament of spiritual strength and control. I guess what im trying to say is . . . size doesn't always matter."

((You stole my idea crying )) In stead of stabbing forward Ayato quickly dug his blade into the ground and used it to lift him up. The sword rotated spinning Ayato around so that he could kick Kyuzo in the rib cage.

Kyuzo brought his forearm between Ayato's legs to defend against the incoming kick; the silver bracers he wore would protect the arms from direct damage, and possibly even deal some back to his opponent if he was lucky. It was for a situation like this that he had worn them under his kimono sleeves, rather than tucking the sleeves underneath. He just keeps coming at me . . . his physical endurance is stammering, and far outweighs mine. If not for my agile movements, he might have squashed me like a bug early in the fight.
