"He really only plays for Luxord .... i hear him sometimes. I think he does it when Father reads or something." Demyx didnt play alot at the castle that he knew but he did know he'd heard it a few times.
"I just started practicing but i have a talent for it so i'm pretty good at it. You didnt realy intrupt anything since i was only playing around."

Kaleb smiled. "It was very good for just playing around, and for just starting to practice." He glanced down at the grass next to him, and idly braided a couple strands together with a small spell.

"Really? I've just had my family listening and well since Dad and Father are usually busy with something or other and Nonet dosent really listen unless you're talking about whatever she's studying no one's really said anything about it before." He smiled brightly before he noticed the grass.

"Really." Kaleb assured with a lopsided smile. Then he blinked a bit, a little surprised with Vivace's comment. "I-it was just a simple air-based weave," he said modestly, waving one hand so the grass quickly unbraided itself. It would be hard for the poor plant to photosynthesize all folded up like that.

His eyes widened as the grass unbraided itself. "That's like the weird stuff Nonet can do ... only cooler. How do you do it? I know its magic but i fail at that stuff and cant get it. Did you go to school to learn it of did you do what Nonet does?"
His tail wagged happily behind him as he spoke. He tried to watch Nonet practice but she always said he was getting in the way.

Kaleb smiled, he always liked being able to please others. "I-I think my magic is different from your sister's. I was taught at an academy for a few years, but now I study on my own using books like she does."
At that thought his smile fell. He sighed, tucking his knees up to his chest and wrapping his arms around them. "I don't have access to the academy's advanced magic texts though, not until I go back there for testing."

"Her magic is weird .. mostly cause i cant do it and she can and its kinda not fair but i guess its okay because i can play guitar and she cant." He grinned and plucked out a quick cord.
"You mean you cant get the book somewhere else? Are they like one of a kind books?" He tilted his head as he looked at Kaleb

Kaleb gave a wry smile in return. "I guess by that definition she would say your music was weird."
He shook his head. "The only copies are very highly regulated. It's all for safety reasons, most of the content would be dangerous to untrained individuals. Hence the testing."

"Nah, she say's its useless and pointless and that its a waste of time and that i should find something useful to do." He scrunched his nose. "I told her she's just jealous that she can do it since i can and she always wants to impress people and if she tried to play my guitar she'd probably just break it."
His tail slowed as he though about tests. "Tests dont sound so fun ... i dont think i would want to do them. So they make people take tests to do magic and stuff?"

"I don't think it's a waste of time, I-I wish I could play an instrument." He blushed a bit at that admission, fidgeting slightly.
He fidgeted a bit more on the topic of testing. "I-it's not entirely common at this level, but I need to prove my skills are adequate before I'll be able to get any farther in my research." He chewed on his lower lip a bit, it would be more than just a paper and pen type test and he wasn't sure if he was ready for what it entailed.

He picked up the guitar and fiddled around with something resembling a song for a moment. "Its not all that hard, least i dont think its hard but everyone else seems to think it is. But you can do magic and i cant and i think that's cool so that's a good trade right? It means you can do something awsome besides playing music"

"I know a couple spells that require the incantations to be sung," he said, and then rushed through the rest as he glanced away with an embarassed expression. "B-but I don't think they are very practical at all, I would never be able to use them in public."
