"Ah..." She could now see clearly that it was a young boy about her age there in front of her. "Well that's awright. Just sit yourself down anywhere. The fire went out so it might get kinda cold. I think I got some leftover firewood, I could make another. Can't really sleep much in this storm...'s odd. I normally sleep like a log. Wonder why this is buggin' me so much." Then she realized she had removed her hat before she slept and her hair was frizzy and sticking out everywhere. "AHEM." She said, tying her hair back and plopping her baseball cap on backwards. It was a NY Mets hat.

"Yeah, they're awright." She had a slight accent. "Woah really? Months? Gosh, I just got here. I was on a cruise with some friends and one minute we were chillin' on the upper deck and then suddenly a storm hits and we're wrecked. I don't even know if any of them made it awright...but I landed here and made my home in this cave. It was a week or two ago, I think." She shifted her gaze around the cave. She grabbed the tools for making a fire and began working. To ease the tension she said, "My old man gave me this hat....'wonder if I'll see him again? 'Least I'm makin' out awright." Smoke started to come out of the two pieces of wood.

Alex raised an eyebrow dubiously. "No way...well I 'spose you can talk with me now, yeah." The fire was raging after a bit of work blowing on it. "Sorry I haven't got food to offer you, friend, but I just realized it's all gone."

"Ah yeah. Me too. It's a damn shame McDonald's hasn't found their way to this island because I could sure go for a quarter-pounder with cheese right about now..." She yawned and laid back on her bamboo bed. "I guess you take for granted things like food when you're on a cruise ship...and it's not until you're shipwrecked that your survival instincts kick in."

Sometime in the middle of the night after the cruiseship had wrecked she'd washed up on shore gasping for breath. She was a horrid swimmer and never understood why she took a job on the ship to begin with. Slowly she dragged her drenched self up onto the shore and into the brush shivering. "Geezus it's cold" She stared around in the gloom and found a small suitcase that had washed up. Grabbing it up she took it with her a bit deeper into the woods and opened it. It was a cosmetics case with multiple pill bottles, first aid stuffs, and bathroom items... not all a bad find, but she had been hoping for clothes. Luckily the case was sealed tight and everything remained dry inside. She tucked it under her arm and started through the jumbled terrain. "Hello?... Hello?"

Alex rolled around the cave, moaning. "Aggh is it morning yet...?" She yawned and got up, stretching. Adam was still asleep. "Better not wake him up..." She whispered, walking outside. "Coulda sworn I heard something out here...." She walked around in the sand. The morning sun was shining through the clouds brightly.
