Welcome to the Lost in Blue RP.

Setting:

You are on an island. Somehow. It appears to be deserted (or is it?) You can come into existence on the island in any way. In otherwords, you could be shipwrecked, you could have already been living on the island (a native or previously shipwrecked, i.e. before Alex...see profile post if you're confused) or any other way you can imagine. The island is vast and unexplored. You may have food and supplies with you but there is no Wal*Mart on the island!! It's an unexplored island--meaning you have to find things to use. Be creative! Don't just write "today I found some rope..." write about setting out into the jungle and getting caught in some vines and then taking them back, thinking they will be useful, and then deciding to use as rope to make furniture later...! smile

This is a contemporary RP (see rules) and there is no 'magic' or 'powers' or 'werewolves or vampires.' It's just regular average humans on an island trying to survive and have fun doing so. Creative posts will make this fun. smile You are starting with nothing. Unless your character had a backpack with shampoo in it, you're not going to have shampoo. You will have to explore the island and make things out of stuff you find. I know this is hard to do but I have no 'picture' of the island (although I am thinking of using the picture of the island from the game) so take your creative liberties! biggrin


(Okay basically this is like the video game "Lost in Blue" for Game Boy DS but if you've never played it before, that's okay.)

HINTS


Potential scenes/settings:

-Beach
-Plains
-Rocky cliffs
-Hot springs on top of a mountain
-Cave
-Ancient tribal ruins
-Sunset overlook with ruins
-Thickets or grottos
-Jungle

Possible areas to find food/water/items:

-Tall grass grove where wild animals graze (make a bow and arrow to kill or...find another way!)
-Fishing (there are at least three or more ways to catch a fish or fish)
-Freshwater from stream/lake (use washed up old bottles to store it for later)
-Herbs
-Vegetables (wild)
-Think of other natural things that you can gather for food purposes (i.e. gather seawater, let it evaporate, and voila, sea salts for seasoning and preservation!)

(You can PM it to me or post here. PMing might be better though if it gets busy here, but I doubt it. I won't always have time to post in this guild so PMing would make sure I get your profile! Just put "Lost in Blue" as the topic.)


Remember to follow the guidelines/rules as in keep it realistic and such. Perhaps the farthest I'd go to say 'beyond realistic' is if you wanted to be some kind of island creature type thing, but you'd have to ask me first...because I don't want there to be 8 island monsters and 1 human being!

Gender: Female (OFTEN mistaken for a boy though!)
Bio: Was an ordinary HS student at a public school. She was taking a cruise with some friends when the ship was caught in a storm and destroyed. She doesn't know if her friends made it or not but she drifted to the Island one day on a piece of debris. She made her home in a cave on the island, hoping one day to be rescued.
Personality: Outgoing and fun. Enjoys the company of others. She prefers a diverse group of friends instead of a clique of the same type of people. Also a bit of a tomboy.
Appearance: Tall, stalky, brownish blondish hair tied back, a baseball cap worn backwards. Ripped and sun-bleached blue jeans, jersey shirt.

Name: Adam
Age: 15
Gender: male
Race/Ethnicity: white
Bio: a boy who was on the island from a previous shipwreck where every one died and he was the only survivor surviving off the small animals and making primitave weapons.
Personality: nice, outgoing, headstrong, short tempered, friendly
Appearance: spikey blonde hair, ripped hooded jacket, ripped up pants, decent scavenging boots.
Anything else: He has a knack for bieng able to survive because he's had to do just that for 2 months on the island. Using the environment to his advantage he uses the trees and bushes in the jungle on the island.

Name: Destani Tarmikos
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Race/Ethnicity: Bi-racial
Bio: Destani grew up in a fairly average household in California. Her parents weren't wealthy, but made enough to cover the necessities. She graduated in the top 5th of her class and went to a local college to get her general AA in hopes of having her own travel agency one day. After a year of traveling the United States she took a job on a Canadian cruiseline. She's been on the cruiseship for 7/9 months and was looking forward to the return home. She worked as a cleaning maid on the ship. When the ship crashed, she'd been on her 2 hour break on the top deck enjoying a drink with one of her co-workers who she'd begun to like.
Personality: A bit quiet, but outgoing. She'll talk to you but only to get you to talk to her. She's more of a listener til she feels she knows you. She enjoys helping people and puzzles.
Appearance: Long red hair. 5'4". appears about 20-22. A bit on the thin side. Nothing special except for the long red hair when its brushed and done up.

Name: Aska
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race/Ethnicity: Chinese
Bio: She's just a regular girl with a regular dream - to become a doctor like her father, her grandfather, and so on. Aska poured over the medical books that belonged to her family, hoping to be just as good, or even better, then her dad. She was on a family cruise to some tropical paradise when the worst happened...she got into a fight with one of the passengers who took a shot at her family, lost it, and fell overboard. The next time she came too was when she washed upon the shore of the island, having nothing but her clothes on her back.
Personality: Aska is usually carefree. She tends to mind her own business and finds her own way around. But, she has these random moments where she appears to lose her mind. All that sun must have fried her brain...
Appearance: Petite with a frail air about her. Her long dark hair is usually kept up in a messy clip, with long bangs framing her face. She was wearing her slim square glasses, a white button-up collared shirt, a gray skirt and a pair of leather buckle-sandals. She took off her socks because it was too hot to wear them anymore.
Anything else: She loves to eat coconuts~

Adam had just finished making a fire to cook himself a nice big fish he had caught with his make shift fishing rod that was made of a stick a wire he had found on his shipwreck and a stone. "Finally some food!" He said as he chowed down on the fish.

Adam had finished the fish and took a huge chug of the water he took from the fresh water stream he found near the plains. "AH!What a good dinner!Well......the best dinner I'll have stranded here." He said laughing at his own joke.

Adam started to run out of water and headed to the stream again to maybe catch some more fish aswell. "Maybe I can get some more fish to!" He said cheerfully running through the dense jungle of the island. He started to climb a tree to get a better look at were he was.

Adam got to the top of the tree and looked at the clouds. "Damn!Its gonna rain tonight." He said sliding down the tree looking for shelter. After searching around he noticed a cave up ahead a couple meters from were he was. "Ah!A cave!" He said running for the cave as it started to rain.

Adam had just made it to the cave before the rain seiously came down. He sat at the opening of the cave huffing and puffing, trying to catch his breath when he heard a sound. He looked to were the sound came from and saw a girl. "A girl?Were did she come from?" he asked himself looking at the girl sleeping.

Adam jumped at her sudden shouting. "Wah!" He instantly went to his feet. "Woah calm down lady.I was just looking for a place to stay out of the rain." he said calmly. "Dont worry Im not a savage or anything." He said jokingly.
