We roared down the hill. With more experience you realize to pick out your first kill. There always that one soldier that just sticks out his eyes wide in fear. As usual the leaders dropped back to the safety behind there troops. I hated that, how do soldiers have any moral if the one who leads them is scared to die? We charged forward, I found my guy. He seemed completely surprised as his head fell off his shoulders. It turned and smashed a guy in the face with my shield sending blood splattering from his skull. A man came from behind with an axe he was swinging down and realized his arms weren't attached, then neither was his head. Man after man fell to my blade. I was soaked in blood and sweat. I could feel the morale on our side, the helions were falling in masses. I was getting to to the center of their troops and found a commander. He was huge, but no matter. He saw me too. He had a sword in hand nad then he picked up a javelin. We charged each other. He through the javelin and I dodged to the right, I jumped into the air and put my sword through his throat. I looked back to our troops and realized I had gotten very deep in. I was more or less surrounded. I kept fighting chopping and hacking and slashing. Still I was too deep. s**t!

I heard frustrated cries coming from the middle of the battle. The troops had not yet gotten that far in, and thusly I was confused. I looked to one of my men as he felled an enemy. "BOOST!" I yelled and I ran at him. He held a scimitar with the blunt end towards me. I planted my foot firmly on it, and as I jumped off of it he propelled it upwards, launching me about 15 ft. into the air. I did a slight backflip, and saw that Marcellus was way deep into the enemy crowd. I landed neatly and started hacking my way towards him, leaving our troops behind. My whirlwind technique that I used on the arrows was working nicely on people, as well. Soon enough I was standing back-to-back with Marcellus. He just nodded at me knowingly, and we began hacking the enemies to pieces. I kind of lost myself in the moment, which was a dire mistake. I started slipping up, not paying attention. It was almost the end of me. As I leveled another guy with my Lunar Scimies, I felt a sharp pain in my side. Upon inspection, I saw a spear had been thrust neatly just below my kidney. Rage filled my vision and I went ballistic on the man who had done it. I downed a few more troops and suddenly... nothing... I had blacked out.

Ashitaka gave on great swing of his Zambato and an entire volley of arrows splintered around him. His eyes gleamed with a primal ferocity and it was easy to see how he had earned the nickname of demon in his own country. As his men charged around him towards battle. The leader watched over the scene as it played out, surveying everything.
With a leap forward, Ashitaka jumped high into the air and brought his great sword down on a soldier. The soldier raised his shield to defend, but the sword's own weight, and Taka's power behind it cut the sword, and the soldier behind it, in twine. He was almost methodical in battle. Although his sword raged with pure force; everything he did seemed exact, precise. His eyes danced with a cool hatred, but there was no lust of other emotion for the battle. This was simply another day.

I saw Haku crumple to the ground, someone was about to finish, but I got to him in time to put my sword through the side of his head through his eye socket. I Slung my shield onto my back, and grabbed a hold of Haku. I put him on my shoulder. I Screamed for help, suddenly the man with the huge zambato showwed up, I barely ducked as he leveled the soldier behind me . I continued slashing and hacking back to safety. We had almost made it thanks to the help of the soldier. I was almost there suddenly was body jerked forward. I almost lost my balance. I looked down and saw and arrow through my gut. I shook it off no big deal, right. I kept trudging on. My body lurched forward again. Dammit must be the final arrow volleys, those where always the worst. I looked it was in myshoulder. I could barely see he arrow head in my shoulder. I saw Theo and kept going toward him. The arrows were darkening the sky. If it wasn't for the soldier with the giant sword I would have been dead the first volley. I got Haku to Theo, it looked he was bleeding pretty bad from his side. I laid him down. I pulled out the arrows, reaching to my back and ripping it out. The damn arrows had barbs on it. I looked at Haku he had one in his leg, oh well he'll be safe now. I looked and saw the blood it was all over my hands. Something inside wrenched, in my head something snapped. It felt like my head was tearing itself apart. Something in my head said, (my turn)
(Everything went black)
This is what I was told that happened
I took off my helmet and through down my sword and shield. There was two dead samurai. I picked up their swords. A crazy look came over my face, I sailed into the army , the only words peolpe could describe about that day was the maniacal laughter and screams and the massacre laid down by one man.
I woke up standing in an open battlefield, no helot left standing. I was covered in blood. Then I faded. I fell back unconcious.

Haku awoke with a start. He winced as he felt the wound in his side threaten to reopen. A woman came rushing to him. "Please, please sir, you mustn't move!" She pleaded. Haku laid back down, remembering what had happened. Marcellus must have saved him. 'How foolish,' he thought to himself as the nurse removed some gauze to check the wound. 'I went in to save Marcellus and he ended up having to save me.'

((Pssh I knew it had to be one of the 3 names you use... get some originality, n00b!!! mrgreen ))
Haku spent the next 2 days lying and resting. He heard no news of Marcellus, only news from his own men about how many of them had died during the battle. It was tradition. The men would scour the field, find and identify any of the fallen members, and report it to the leader. The leader then went to a miniature shrine erected for this particular event, a shrine to Onega, the God of the Sands and the Heat, who appeared to them in the form of a giant badger demon ((Naruto!!!)). The names would be rattled off one by one in the same order they were given to the leader, and Onega would depart, leading their souls to his otherworld where they would be rewarded for their bravery in battle. Their weapons would be buried with them. On this second day, the shrine was erected, and Haku began to pray out.

((Haku what kind of name is that, it sounds like a spitting Noise mrgreen )
Ranmyaku walked past a statue((is it a statue?)). He saw a man kneeling there. He saw him praying he snickered. "what is this guy doing?'' he thought. He got closer, he looked closely at the man, suddenly it felt like he just got hit in the face with a boulder. He grimaced as chaotic thoughts rushed into his mind. It panicked him. Who the hell is this guy, what the hell just happened?!? He walked fast toward the guy and picked him up by the shirt, "who the ******** are you!!!"

((And Ranmyaku is any better? That's like a Japanese sneeze)) ((And Haku was one of my favorite Demon Slayers on Inuyasha))
Haku prayed out as Onega watched down on him. Haku heard a disturbance behind him, but payed it no mind. However, Onega took a different approach. He reached out his hand and flicked a man lightly on the face. The man fell back a distance, but kept his balance. Just then Haku ended his prayer and Onega dispersed back to his own world. The man grabbed Haku by his shirt and lifted him up off the ground. "Who the ******** are you???" He demanded. Haku just stared, unbelieving. He felt... he didn't quite know. He had never seen this man before, but you could practically cut the familiarity with a knife, it was so strong around them. Haku reached down between the man's arms and twisted, an action that forced the man's arms apart and weakened his grip. Haku dropped lightly out of the man's hands and dusted himself off. "I am Haku of the Sands. And you would be wise not to barge in on a ritual of this magnitude of importance." As he walked off back towards the castle, he could swear the man gave him the same look of unbelieving recognition. 'The man's panic was understandable' he thought to himself. 'After all, only the believers of the Sand God can see him. I'm sure having a God reach down and swat your nose is pretty shocking. Still... who is he?'

((Dude, you're the GM, you need to decide where you're going with this. I don't even know who Ranmyaku is or what he's supposed to do. I don't know if you turn back to Marcellus or something or if you stay, I don't know what triggers it... You need to advance this))

News was heard and everyone was to go see Theo I followed to see who this guy was.
Everyone gathered in the mead hall and Theo spoke. "Our last battle was a great victory. We have all of you to thank without your assistance we would have been lost. However, the slaughter of the heliots has brought a giant storm our way, many a country is horrified with how the battle was. The killing of everyone, even those who tried to surrender has enraged them. They think we're too powerful too bold. They want to pu us down, but i say we rise up. The Helots were just the beginning we will take on these countries,WE WILL SHOW THEM OUR MIGHT!!!!"
(the hall roars with cheers, then quiets)
Theo continues "I say stay with me and will give these people the war of all ages, we will crush them!!!! ARE YOU WITH ME!!!!
(The crowd roars again)

Haku rose, interrupting the King as he was about to start speaking again. "And what of us, King Theo? We are but mercenaries. We have done our duty, we have done what we were payed to do. To wage all-out war on these new enemies, you will need to continue paying us for our time here. And I assure you, our prices will only raise due to supply and demand. You need us for this war... that is, if you still plan on winning." As he spoke these words, he slowly started walking towards the king, addressing the crowd louder and louder as he went. "My men have suffered many casualties. How much more will you pay us to sacrifice our lives? I assure you we do NOT work for free, we do not owe you any loyalties or duties as your own army does." He stopped for a moment. King Theo just sat and contemplated this new news.

Ashitaka also stood slowly, a pint of ale in his hand. "I agree. I harbor no ill will for this country, or any other country. However, I was hired in to protect your kingdom for invaders, and I have done so. What reason is there for me to continue risking the lives of my men, and slaughtering countless others in the name of advancing your wealth." The "demon" stood and waited for the kings answer
