A very faint, very familiar scent reached the blue's nostrils. He froze in the middle of flinging the life out of a raccoon, dropping the half-dead animal in the muck so that he could open his mouth and smell better. THIS WAS WHAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR.
The wind was shifting, and the blue couldn't easily figure out the direction of the scent. He had to find it. This was what he was looking for. This is what he had to kill. He stumbled over himself to try and figure out the location. South. He had to go south. Out of the middle of the swamp. He crawled up a dead tree and took to the air.

Mayumi continues skirting along the edge of the swamp still heading towards the Dead Woods, still thinking about Pepper and the recent events totally unaware of her surroundings.

The blue half-crashed, half-landed in the muck, but continued to move on three legs. The smell was getting stronger. He growled deep in his throat in anticipation. Smell was stronger; he could recognize it more. He needed to kill the thing that was making that smell.
For the first time a small cloud entered the clarity of his mind, telling him that he knew that scent and that he must PROTECT the thing making that scent. But it was very small, and the taste of blood was still in his mouth.
He saw her, a young brown dragon. He needed to kill the dragons. He bounded in, muscles tensed to attack.

The sound of movement behind her alerts Mayumi she turns to see a a muck covered blue dragon crouched ready to attack. The dragon was filthy with muck and seems to be injured surely this could not be Reet. No it can't be she'd never seen that glazed hungry look in her father's eyes. She backs away a bit wary and fearful of that look.

calliope: *tiptoes in as quietly as she can be armed with a large,heavy club,some tacos and her reet blanket* eek *chanting to herself* Please don't let him find me,please don't let him find me. snake: Hisss? calliope: Shhh! *quietly places the food and blanket on the ground and silently tiptoes away ready to bonk anyone in the head with her club*

The blue screamed as he dived toward the brown, flinging his stringy muck-and-blood covered hair out of his eyes. He aimed for her feet.

Mayumi continues backing up faster and jumps up enough to avoid the blue's dive for her feet. Her wings flapping fast like a hummingbirds keeping her just enough out of reach. She starts to pull an arrow from her quiver while gaining a little height. The blue seems to have landed on the muck face first from its dive.

"Dragon hold STILL!" the blue screamed.
He picked himself up from the mud, and grabbed for a foot, still barely in reach. He wrapped his claws around her foot, digging in a little at the tips, and pulled hard.

calliope: *hearing the commotion calliope runs back off in the direction of the sound. Upon arriving she sees reet attacking his own daughter* *gasp* Reet! Stop it! *gets out her club* snake: *hisssssssssssssssssss!!*

Mayumi doesn't want to shoot the arrowin to blue dragon who by the sound of his voice is Reet but his grasp on her foot is firm and hurts. Her wings strain to keep her from being pulled by the stronger dragon. She tries to scratch his claw with her arrow tip, desperately trying to wiggle free.
The blue seems relentless in his grip despite the scratches he's receiving from the arrow tip.

The blue yanked on the brown's foot hard, throwing her to the ground. Another female, a blue, appeared from one side, holding a weapon.
The male dove at the running blue, aiming for her neck. He had some part of his brain telling him not to hurt the brown, nothing was stopping him from hurting this blue.

The male growled as the female blue hit his head. He reached out and raked his claws down the front of her body, then twisted and grabbed her wrist that held the club. He snapped it without much effort.
His mind was clouding a little, and his limbs felt heavy, but he could still kill.
((Reet can and will kill Calliope right now unless you get her out of here. He is slightly drugged from Mayumi's arrows, but he's still much stronger than Calliope. ))
