Hailsa, ( Hopefully, would like to spell it right.)
I agree, that it's hard to get good information - and learn how it's done. Perhaps, the one thing which I think, was passed down a whole lot - is the use of Runes, for writing and publishing purposes. (( I like them in Callligraphy, Aestetics and for the simple reasons that it works for me. )) Still, there are things that one has to witness by actually showing up at a gathering.
Hopefully - there will be much more to discover.
I'm from the U.S. - and not happy with American History, by not mentioning what the Vikings did when exploring the Mississppi River Delta, and the impact they've made with the Cherokee / Tslangi. (( This might of been the most interesting time to see how two complete kinds of cultures met half way.))
There is this huge Archelogical Dig site, in North Carolina - with more Rune Dates, and another Cherokee / Tslangi connection. This was covered on the news recently. ( National Geographic ? )
Even though, I might not know what it's like to visit Europe - - - it's quite very exciting to know how Asatru would continue to branch out, and make more progress to seeing what is out there in Uncharted Territory.

Hailsa! I'm Violett (or Vi, for short). I've kind of nosed around here for a bit before applying for membership. I look forward to some glorious lurking and hopefully contributing once I feel like I know enough to open my mouth.

Hailsa! I'm Robyn =] So, I'm a Kiwi chick, new to Asatru but not to Norse culture. Growing up with a huge pride in my ancestry has led me to this point, and I'm eager to learn everything I can from you guys!
I look forward to learning from and making friends with all of you, so you'll probably be seeing alot of me xD
I owe you a huge thanks already!

I must have missed this thread when I last went through... I'm Deoridhe, an Asatruar for an awful lot of years. These days I tend to be pretty busy, so I'm not often around, but I'm always up for a little discussion.
