((ooc: You're taking too long Minmin...))

As Leena was coming through the door, DeMarkcus had begun to cast a spell. Simple, not energy consuming, but useful. He spoke, seemingly into his hand. He said "Troops! This is your commander speaking. For those of you who do not know, there is a mission tonight. I'm taking out the Newest recruits for a little...monster hunting. The following men and women, if you have not as of yet gone to the Barton Fields Tunnel Entrance, I expect you to get there immediatly! Selikia (you need a last name. XP), Ariadne Damear, Quentyn Varco, and Rakinu Marillya. Leena the Cursed One and myself, DeMarkcus Dellain, shall be there momentarily." DeMarkcus took his hand, and put it on the wall. All throughout the HQ his voice could be heard, in every room, every hole in the wall, his voice rang out. "Well, Leena, now that that is taken care off..we must be going. Whatever it is, can it wait?"

Ariadne felt the presence of the ninja approaching. She looked up at him, nodding her head. There was no use in smiling in greeting as he wouldn't have seen it. Her turqoise eyes were about the only thing he could see of her through the slits on her mask.

She was about to start some sort of conversation as they waited for the rest of the clan, until she heard DeMarkcus booming about who needed to be there and ready for the mission. "I hope everyone hurries up. I'm getting very bored waiting," she yawned under her mask.

Quentyn noticed the nod of greeting from the waiting ninja and nodded back, in greeting. He paused as the DeMarkcus's voice echoed down the long underground tunnel. So there's me, three other new recruits, the leader, and the second in command. A total of six. Picking up his pace, Quentyn was at the door in a few steps and standing across from the other Death Clan Member. He nodded his agreement at her statment of boredom. "I'm Quentyn, so are you Ariadne, Selikia, or Rakinu?" He said starting introductions.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Quentyn. My name is Ariadne." She moved up against the wall and leaned into it. "I've heard we've got a few ninjas in our clan. Have you met any of the other members yet?" Ariadne asked him, crossing her arms over her chest as she waited for the other clan members to arrive.

Quentyn raised his eyebrow at Ariadne's courtious greeting. "The pleasure is mine." He replied as he copied Ariadne and leaned against the wall of the dark tunnel, his arms behind his back. "Not any that are going on this mission, well, beside DeMarkcus. I've known him since I joined the Death Clan." He answered, keeping up with the small talk. "What about you, do you know any of our fellow members that will be joining us?" Quentyn asked, taking his turn in the conversation.

Selikia heard a soft disscusion as she approached the exit she had been directed to. Being new, she had taken some time to investigate the stucture of the headquarters, and claim a room as her own. Hearing that they were going to be fighting monsters as opposed to humans, she decided not to go out in the full ninja outfit. If need arose, she had decided her shodow power would suffice for stealth. So she approached the other two ninjas in an outfit of heavy, dark cloth concealing leather. She had one katana at her left hip and one on her back with the hilt above her right shoulder. A black cloth concealed her lower face, but she had dispensed with the ussual hood. All together, it was heavier and less concealing than her normal working outfit, but they didn't know that. Let them draw what conclutions they will, she thought. At the last minute she had decided to bring a bare minimum for equipment, which meant only her katanas. Monsters would require little more, with a group of six. It would be more of an open fight than she was used to, but she was confindent in her abilities. Hearing the last comment in the conversation, she approached and spoke to the two clanmembers who had arrived before her.

"Greetings, I will be joining you, and I doubt that either of you know me. You may call me Selikia. I look forward to seeing how well we preform on the coming mission, don't you?"

She smiled slightly, looking at each of them carefully, and keeping and ear open for anyone approaching behind her. It's allways good to be aware of your surroundings, even at home...

Ariadne went to answer Quentyn's question when they woman came around the corner, approaching them and introducing herself. "Hello, Selikia. It's nice to meet you. I'm Ariadne. I think we'll do fine on the mission, as long as everyone arrives before it's too late." She shifted her weight from where she was leaning against the wall. "Quentyn, to answer your question, you two are the only ones I've met so far in our group."

She glanced back at the girl taking in the outfit she'd chosen. It made her wonder if she should have worn less apparel. Nah, she thought to herself. Nobody knew what the monsters were capable of.

"Well met Selikia. I, for one, think this should only take a couple of hours." Quentyn said through his mask, both greeting the newcomer and adding his comments. He took the extra time that they had while waiting to look over both of his team-mates, silently his clear white eyes took in their forms. Both of them were Ninja's and Selikia was the only one not completely decked out in her full gear. I hope she's taking this seriously... Quentyn thought to himself.

Selikia turned to Quentyn with a raised eyebrow. "Only a couple of hours? My my, you seem to be leaping to conclusions." She was mildly amused by what she took as either overconfidence, or a failure to consider all posabilities. "If there the monsters pose no real threat, then yes, a few hours, perhaps less. However, I see the possability for far more danger here, and far more time spent. Perhaps it will not be so, perhaps it is not even likely, but better to go in prepared for the posability." Curse these masks, she thought. They make it hard to read facial expresions and reactions. They limit my comunication to others as well. I suppose it can't really be avoided...

"Suppose for a moment that the threat the monsters present is real, and in fact, turn out to be beyond what anyone anticipated. Suppose a cunning beast, with high endurance, and great strength. Such a beast would take many people an extended period of time to track and deal with. Perhaps there will only be a few minor monsters, but perhaps by slaying them we disturb a hornet's nest, so to speak." She paused a moment.

"Going into an unknown situation is not something to be taken lightly, which is why reconisance and espionage before hand are ideal in any situation. At least, that is my humble opinion, but I have little experience outside my training, and perhaps you allready have acess to information beyond what I know, in which case I would request that you divulge such information, as we are all headed to the same place." An enigmatic smile played across her lips, not that anyone could see her lips, but such an expresion is inevitably reflected in the eyes for those trained in seeing such things.

((I've got no time to wait for you Minmin. stressed ))

DeMarkcus went to grab some cloth from his closet. He made a hand sign, middle fingers, pinkies, and thumbs extended and pushed together. DeMarkcus used his middle fingers as a key, and stuck them directly into the marking on his closet door wall. He turned his fingers as if imputing a locker combination, then removed them, and pressed on the spot. The door opened.

DeMarkcus grabbed his favorite Black Velvet Cloth from inside the closet, and layed it on his bed. He opened his armory in a simular fashion, and took out, again, his favorite pair. Mythril Chain Mail. He underdressed his clothes, reveiling his somewhat buff body. Not a body builder, but not lacking muscle none-the-less. He put on his Mythril Chain Mail, his Helmet, and over the Chain Mail, black Velvet. Over the Helmet too.

He went behind his desk and opened the door leading into the room that conceiled the Apocolypse Blade, in Staff form. He un-set it's alarm, took it out of its protective case, and turned around. With a wave of his hands, all of DeMarkcus's closet doors closed. He walked out of his room, and headed for the elevator.

When he reached the First Level, he checked behind him to make sure Leena was there. (just want to make you follow and stuff...you could add diolog or something and I'll just edit it in there) DeMarkcus then proceded to the Barton Fields Tunnel Entrance. When he arrived there, he was happy to see that all four of them had arrived. "Hello, troops. It is good to finally meet you all. Today, we will be fighting monsters at the Barton Fields. Because this is all confidential information, I will give you more of a description on the walk there. For now, we must be going." DeMarkcus held his hand to the large door and bellowed 'Open!' The door opened accordingly, revieling yet another elevator. They all entered, one after another. DeMarkcus then bellowed 'Close!' once everyone was on, and said no more at that time. ((I really need to end the post..I've gone on long enough.))

Ariadne listened to Selikia talking to Quentyn. She didn't have much comment on the subject. It wasn't like they weren't going to find out shortly how long this mission will really last.

She heard DeMarkcus approaching the group. She pushed off the wall to stand up to greet him, as he arrived to the group she bowed. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." Slowly, she returned to her upright position.

It was fascinating for her to watch him just yell commands to the doors. When they stepped onto the elevator she moved to the side, listening to bangs of the elevator overhead. They were finally on their way to Barton Fields.

((Kuja: It's LEENA. Sorry I have several exams and an event coming up..sory))

Leena entered and slowly walked around her Lord. His tall figure looming over her. She said nothing, she traced his work desk, filled with papers. She only looked at him, admiring him...lusting for her Lord. When he asked her if whatever she had come to his chambers for could wait, she only smiled, a wicked smile, that her Lord knew well.

She leaned back onto his bed and watched him. Her Lord began to cast a spell, he was going to make an announcement. His voice boomed throughout the underground castle. He finished.

Before Lord DeMarckus began placing his clothes on his bed, she sidled over. She stood near him, nearer than anyone could ever be to the Leader of the Death Clan. She said nothing, for anticipation pleased her, if not her Lord.

They walked briskly down the corridor, she following close after. Soon she saw them--the new recruits. A wicked smile played upon her lips. She did not dare disrespect her Lord while he was talking. When he was done, she fell back, ready to take action, putting stragglers back in-line.

((No problem Minmin. I understand..it just would have been nice to learn sooner. stressed ))

DeMarkcus watched as Leena straightened up all of the troops. He then whispered to her, "Stand Down." DeMarkcus then begun their briefing.

"Well, you are probably curious as to why this mission was assigned to you, and what the mission is all about. Well, I'll tell you. You are the newest recruits to the Death Clan, as you probably already know, and I'm here to to help you four along this mission. This is a basic training mission, nothing elite or for top class, just some pests that need to be controlled. Although I do hope you have brought all of your equipment, because you are most certainly going to need it." DeMarkcus took a quick breath of fress air, but before he could continue talking, it seemed that they had arrived at their destination. "For those of you who have never been here, this is the Barton Fields Underground Tunnel. When we reach the end of the tunnel, we will be in the fasinity of Barton Fields. Now...OPEN!" The elevator door opened at his command, and then closed once everyone was out.

DeMarkcus made sure everyone was behind him before continuing to talk. "Now, on to what this mission is about. Well, to put it basically, the people of Barton have put up a flyer stating that monsters had been sighted at Barton Fields, and, of course, no one dared venture there. So, naturaly, I accepted the job. I thought it would be wise to bring you along for the ride, so I did so."

"Now, being the excellent strategist that I am, I, along with Leena, have devised a superb strategy." DeMarkcus inhaled, and continued. "I've draw up a small map of the Barton Fields area." He unrolled the piece of parchment that held the map. "The fields are surrounded by wood, so I would suppose that that is where the monsters dwell. You all shall remain hidden in the brush while I walk up with Leena to the man that has hired us. Once that is complete, he is supposed to hide. If the monsters get him, don't both attempting to save him, because you are going to need your energy for the other monsters. Now, this is where I test all of your patience. We will most probably be waiting for some time before the monsters show up, or no time at all. Once I sense the monster's precence, I will automatically cast Lich. This will be your time to attack. Pay close attention, for I will only keep Lich up momentarily to avoid energy drain. From here on, it is basically a free-for-all. Eliminate any and all monsters but whatever means nessessary." DeMarkcus notice he had been talking so long that they were nearly half-way there.

He stopped, and faced the recruits. "Anyone who is too cowardice to attempt this mission, turn back now. Those who are not, continue to follow."

Rakinu reaches the end of the hallway with just enough time to spare to hear her leader begin the briefing on the mission. The woman did not even slow her steps. One step after another she padded down the hallway with soft, silent steps and walks following DeMarkcus.

Rakinu's clothing was typical of an assassin, except that it was actually
very revealing. Her ample bust was exposed, covered only by leather, tied together in the front. When on a mission invoving men, it can easily distract someone for long enough to strike, escape, call for help; if that were to ever be necessary. Across her shoulder laid the strap that held her crossbow. It was easy to sling forward into her hands at a moment's notice. She wore a cloak tied back to be more like a cape for the time being; it however, fully covered her crossbow and weapons, excluding her long sword. She only wore it in full when she needed to hide.

The trained killer's face was unmasked, rare for this girl, but in the vicinity of her Clan it was not necessary to hide. Her long, dark brown hair was loosely bound to keep from interfering with her vision. All in all she was a breath-taking sight, one of the most rivaling beauties in the land.

"Let us get moving. The longer we wait, the less we will know," Rakinu says softly. "If we are to be successful, we had better scan the area quickly."

Quentyn stood quietly as his simple thought on their mission was ripped to shreds by his fellow Ninja. He noticed the raised eyebrow and the smile. It's simple enough to see if you're looking at, or around the eyes. "It was only my humble opinion, but you make some very good points." Was all that Quentyn had time for before DeMarkcus arrived with Leena, second in command, right behind him.

As soon as Quentyn saw DeMarkcus he quickly stood up straight then bowed at the waist and didn't stand straight again until he entered the Elevator, as soon as he had Quentyn didn't waste any time following.

The new Ninja listened as quietly to the briefing as he had to Selikia's comments. When the small map was exposed, Quentyn made sure to take time to study it well while still keeping an ear open as to what the strategy will be. As soon as the briefing was over Quentyn raised his voice in question, "Excuse me, Lord Dellain, but we won't just ignore any mosters that attack our employer, will we? Surely any monsters that attack him will need to be taken care of."
