I didn't actually think that Ino really liked Sasuke. Yeah like most of the other girls she did get all giddy and flustered over that cutie but sometimes I think that Ino liked him for the reason that many girls like celebrities (aside from the die-hard stalkish ones), he isn't owned by anyone. I mean not many girls like guys that already have a girlfriend, well celebrities in general. She liked him probably for the thrill and joy of it, flirting and the sense of competition over the other girls with Sasuke as the judge. However this might seem sexist it's not, you can just think of Sasuke as a piece of meat. So that evens it out a little bit.
I also didn't find blame in either of them when their friendship ended. Sakura did break it off for Sasuke but also for the fact that she no longer wanted to be in Ino's shadow. I mean Sakura really looked up to Ino. Ino would always tell her that one day she would bloom and I think Sakura trying to become more independent and less of a cry baby was a way to impress Ino. I think Ino saw it coming too, she did encourage Sakura to grow and I think in a way they are still friends just like Naruto and Sasuke are friends. Sakura, when she broke it off with Ino she still wore the ribbon in her hair like that through the whole time, if she truly hated Ino she wouldn't want to have any evidence of being associated with her.
I don't believe either of them were in the wrong, and they are both still friends. Just like how Ino comforts Sakura during the Chuunin exam when Sasuke was hurt and how they are always competing with each other.
On another note Sakura loving Sasuke = bad. It's one thing to like an idol, it's another thing to like a backstabbing, angsty, traumatized out of his mind, revenge-seeking jerk. Though he has his reason.... it's still strange to like a guy like that.
And I'm also a NaruSaku fan and from the first two Shippuden episodes it seems their relationship is beginning to show.

Ah, finally, somebody states the true reason as to why Sakura ended their friendship. It wasn't over stupid little Sasuke, it was over Sakura no longer wanting to live in Ino's shadow, wanting to become something more than a sidekick. Although, the whole Sasuke thing was probably what gave Sakura the push to break off the friendship, it was not over him. I'm sure Ino and Sakura will one day be as close as they once were, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. ^^

I like Ino because she has a 'not crap' attitude and unlike Sakura, says things how they are and doesn't keep her feelings to herself. I think Sakura and Ino are equal on strength, I doubt Kishi would change that after Asuma told Ino "don't lose to Sakura."
I do like Sakura, I just like Ino better because she is mouthy ^^

i like sakura better cuz shes not all obsessed about the looks thing like ino is. also, she seems determained to get better and puts effort in her training.
