Gael stopped, turning to look at Ty. She then shrugged and held out her arm. "Well, lead the way. 'Cause we'd have to get to the mall before we got lost in it and I'm surely doomed to lead us away from said mall."

He smiled and looked around the street for any indication of where a mall could be. After finding no signs he saw a steady stem of people coming and going from one direction so he figured it was probally a good place to start going. He smile and nodded in that direction and started off.

The Mall was pretty crowded, but Gael didn’t seem to mind. The was busy staring at all the stores they didn’t have in Soul Society. The Mortal Realm changed a lot in 18 years. The Mall showed this the most.
Her eyes drifted on the different fashion people wore in large groups and the things hanging in the windows. There were so many stores, none of which were here so long ago. Clothes, shoes, toys, books, video games… they all had their own happy little stores. You could hear different music depending on which door you passed.
Gael, who had never played video games before, took an unnatural interest in the arcade. The blinking lights, loud noises, and some kid stomping on a mat.
Gael dragged Ty into the arcade, whether he liked it or not. It then took her a while to figure out that she needed to go to the “change machine” first. Or, rather, she needed to get bills smaller than $20… and THEN go back to the change machine.
Oh yeah, this was going to be fun…

Ty wasnt the video game type and he didnt think Gael would be so this threw him for a loop. He watcehd the lights and saw nothing of intrest.

It didn't take long to realize that Gael just sucked at video games. Period. She just didn't seem to understand any of them. Especially not the DDR machine of death...
A twisted ankle and a headache later, Gael decided that that was enough video games for one day. She also decided that she was never touching a DDR machine ever ever again.
Though she seemed to walk really well on her twisted ankle. When it happened, it caused her to go face first into the screen. After she stepped of the machine, she stumbled once more. After that, however, she seemed to be okay with it. There was an occasional flaw in her step, but the only real difference in the way she walked was that now she was walking like an actual human being instead of her graceful gliding step.
Even after being injured, she laughed her way out of the arcade.
"The games these days are painful!" She joked, rubbing her forehead.

He smiled and watched her walk away from the damndable machine making sure he was fine and just laughed as they got out he couldnt help himself. "Perhaps you are just a bit behind the times. But let us see what else we can manage to do today, Hmm..." His nose caught the scent of something strange he had never really smelt before and his eyes searched and he saw the most peculiar little machine he had ever seen. People went to it and got this mush and in big letters it said bubble tea on it. He instanly started his aproach.

((Has to wikipedia bubble tea... oO Tapioca? Ick! XP))
Gael followed behind him, taking notice of the odd machine. The straws people had in this drink were a lot larger than normal straws... And Gael couldn't understand why they called it bubble tea... It wasn't bubbling at all! And those most certainly weren't tea cups! It didn't even look like tea... it seemed more milky, like a funny looking coffee or something.

He smiled as he saw the interesting beverage. He got one in the biggest size he could in an interesting green colour. He held it up and looked into it and smiled and drank some. He stood a moment looking as though in deep thought and he turned to Gael and with a huge grin sent a thumbs up her way.

Gael, who was a little more suspicious of anything that named what it wasn't, took a smaller cup. She got the same flavor as Ty, just in case he lucked out and got the only good kind. Very carefully she took a sip... And then made a face that said she just wasn't quite sure whether or not she liked the stuff.

He smiled delighted at her reaction it was indeed a strange drink. "The bitterness of the tea... but cold and sweet." He could barely contain himself he enjoyed it so much, What would these mortals think of next, He started looking around the rest of the food court for anything else deliciously new, Aside from this nothing really stood out besides a strange resteraunt with two golden arches over the entrance. When he looked at it he was strangley hungry btu he didnt want to eat. Then something caught his eye just outside the food court in the window of another store. Something he hadnt counted on. It was a comic store.

Gael followed his eyes to the comic book store's window. Her reaction was far from expected.
"Comics! Michio loves those!"
And without warning, she darted into the store. Though she did almost hit her face off the floor once on her way. In her haste, she had forgotten to take care of her twisted ankle and it had very quickly reminded her that it was still injured. She made up for it and managed to catch herself, continuing on into the store.
She was already grabbing up volumes, holding them nicely as she flipped through the pages. Still not used to the time change... she wondered why so many of them were locked away in cases or priced so high. And then there was a whole new animal entirely... manga!
She stopped upon flipping through the pages of a manga... immediately blushed... and put the book back on the shelf without a word. That didn't stop her for long, though. Thankfully, most of the manga was more tame.
She was making a stack in her arms. At the bottom were a lot of the older comic books, the ones Michio would've liked. On top of that was a pile of shoujo manga... a new addiction that Gael had found for herself. After all... books were a lot less deadly than the evil DDR machine.

At hearing the name Michio Ty's mood kinda sombered a bit, It wasnt a name he knew to be the tidings of happyness only because whenever the subject came up Gael seeemed to well... Not be herself, He walked in much less excited than before and looked about at the stuff. He looked much more at the strange games than the comics. He had never heard of them and when he read the box that described the game it just hurt his head trying to comprehend why someone would need a 36 sided die.

Gael checked out, gaining two seperate bags. One of them held the stack of books she had gotten that she was certain Michio would love. The other bag held her own new habit. She seemed content to spend the whole day in that one store alone.

He couldnt get a hold on anything other than the interesting replicas of things from the books especially the human sized gundam model in a corner which fasinated him to no extent. He left watching it intentley.
