it's hard to not use "chat speak" in a different language, i can't translate all the words.
maybe hardcore isn't metal, but that does not say that you must hate it.
jazz isn't metal too, but i still don't hate it.
i don't know ant thrash bands after 2000. but then again, i'm not a big thrasher myself.

I have respect for Jazz, and I don't hate all that is not Metal, I have reasons if I hate a genre or a specific artist. Like rap, do I even need to justify. And Punk, it was a fad. It lasted ten years. Actually, only 5 or 6. Anyone who believes punk still exists needs to "Jump in the Fire", literally. Green Day is living (unfortunately) proof that punk is dead. And R&B, can they find anything besides sex, cheating, and girl problems to talk about? And All American Rejects, MCR, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Panic! at the Disco, they all suck and are a bunch of posers trying to cash in on the brainwashed minds of American teens who were never encouraged or taught to think for themselves. That is something metal has always done, encourage the questioning of all authority and everything mainstream. See, I have reasons, a method to my madness.
And about the "Txt Tlk", you, I'll let it slide, you don't live in an English speaking country, but for everyone else in the guild can you make it a rule, because it gives me headaches. (no offense to you, you have an excuse)

i never saw many txt talk, but i will update the rules 3nodding
there are still some punk bands, "agnostic front" for example. but it will never be the old punk again. if you want to be a real punker you have to kill yourself within 10 years using drugs and alcohol. no offence to punk, they did something unique.
i more hate jrock. many people call it metal or punk. but most of the time those bands are just like pop music, and they are all show offs. and the worst part: they can't play anything live. they are playbacking on their own live dvd's, how sad is that?
i see you have many reasons, but not one who explains the hate towards hardcore.

Hardcore is not metal. They are wanna-be death metal but I can actually understand some of Death Metal. hardcore is inaudible screaming and it annoys the hell out of me. It wouldn't be so bad if they could play decent guitar... All the bands that pass themselves off as punk are really pop-rock, that's all it is. They don't know s**t about punk, if they did they'd know it was over 30 ears ago. And of course all the emo bands will be gone in the next 5 years. If we are lucky, less, but no more. It won't last, it's a fad, just like punk, and will die soon enough. Metal has endured for 37 years, and most of that without any publicity, no radio play, just word of mouth and die-hard fans, such as you and I.

metal is stronger yes, but it evolves as well, and soon the oldest bands will be quit playing too. i want to see what happens then.

Thankfully we have new bands such as Trivium, Lamb of God, DragonForce, and such to carry on, but without the older bands it will definetely suck, but Metal will never die.

I love trivium, they are the band i listen to the most out of anything, i don't mind people having opinions about trivium knowing it's a total love or hate band but what grinds my gears is when people think they are all knowing about music in general and make videos like this to put down the fans and to put down the band itself. heres the link to show you what i mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNLDLyeepVs

*sigh* How could they do that??? So many people hate Trivium, and I don't get it. They obviously have talent. They can solo, and I would bet a million dollars that all the dicks who did that video and who rag on Matt and Corey's playing can't even hold a friggen' guitar, not to mention play those dual solos. And that screaming is good, and that is coming from someone who can't tolerate Hardcore. Trivium is as Thrash as Megadeth. Especially The Crusade. People probably don't even know what metalcore is.

It is an attack on an amazing band, I see no humor, only dicks with no talent slamming talented people, and probably out of jealousy. And of course you can make fun of A7X and Slipknot, who wouldn't?

Finally you admit it! When a band has to where stupid masks to give a, what's the word, dark image just so kids will think they are cool and buy their CDs. It's so stupid...

to be honest: i like slipknot much more then trivium, but i don't mind such video's even if they make hem from riverside. most people who make those crap don't even know a thing about music. just laugh about the text 3nodding
