Here's a new one to revive this topic.
Ok...January 15th. Team Kengai vs. Team Drift Speed.
Course: Irohazaka Reverse Wet, Daytime.
Cars: Evo IV vs. Evo IV.
Ok, so I'm pretty much staying close behind the entire way. I've gotta stay on this guy's toes and pressure him. However, he has a little bit of room on me by the time we're in section 4, coming up to the two important hairpins.
Simply put, the last hairpin is where the action takes place. According to the people watching, he wall-tapped a bit, whereas I cleared it perfectly, and 5 KM faster. Thusforth, my acceleration was kicking in, and I was coming up on my opponent during the final straight.
Oddly enough, my opponent didn't resort to blocking me out. The end result: I passed him at the very last moment and won by 1 meter. Talk about your photo finish...I heard that my friend went crazy after he saw my narrow victory. After being start rammed and having lost Irohazaka Reverse Dry...definitely one of the most memorable passes Team Kengai had over Drift Speed that day.

Version 2
My GC8V vs DC2 (Both Full-Tuned) (I had three straight battles this guy)
I was fished over to IRO Dry after a seven-win streak. The opponent was so arrogant; he bragged about his 2'42"xxx time. During the initial start, I had the advantage...My first check point was around 39"xxx. The second CP he overtook me at one corner by his attempt to ram me on the wall. Although i didn't hit the wall he got ahead of me...
At the third checkpoint I was still trailing bumper to bumper...we did our jumps perfectly, our lines were the same...there were no differences between us there. The fourth CP, we're still bumper to bumper and it looked as if I had no chance. On the last hairpin, DC2 turned really late, and he turned Out-Out-Out, grinding the walls a bit. I barely squeezed in and went in front. He began trailing away during that long straightaway. Our time was 2'43"xxx.
He was pissed and he just put in his tokens and battled me at Iro again. This time I was ahead of him throughout the race. He ruined his chances when he ate the wall during the jumps...but only for one moment. And I beated him with 2'40"xxx.
He couldn't take me so he took me to Happogahara IB. I took the front the whole way; there wasn't anything worthy noting other than getting 2'21"xxx. This guy was ready to lose it. Fortunately, security was there to escort him off the arcade for inappropriate conduct. He was cussing a lot in between the battles.

Dude, I remember all the DC2 fishers around back when Version 2 was around my area. Of course, I used the DC2 as well...but I was no fisher. Hell...like...I don't know how many times they took my FD to Iro, and I still won. And then they were just afraid to battle me, period.

Coincidentally, I ran into the same guy at a different arcade earlier this week. He had full-tuned his RX-8 and took me to Tsuchizaka IB. The funny thing was he didn't realize that I was the person that set a record for that course there. He got pwned lol. He hasn't changed a bit...He's still that same ARROGANT punk. I can only thank for helping me level up lol.

I don't know if Bunta runs count, but yesterday (01/27/2005) I did Bunta on Irohazaka Downhill Dry Night (lvl 5) and won by 0.9m. I managed to take him in the jumps, but in the final set of hairpins, he had a higher exit speed than I did. I had to block him almost the entire final stretch. He tried to push me out of the way, which sent my car sideways across the line. Final time: 3:10.xxx

The best battles i've had all the way from ver.2 is this guy that only uses an FD type R...
And the guy is basically the best racer int he whole island i live on, since he has rarely lost a match against anyone that has challenged him.
I enjoy racing against hm because thought he looks kinda scary and gang'sta he's very friendly once you get to know him.. he even helped me in ver.2 to get a 2:19 constant on akagi downhill.
He's currently just a lvl 22 in ver.3 but he's semi-retiret of the game.. as he has gotten some hard classes in college, unlike me that i take tought classes but still got time to play IDAS sometimes biggrin

SHIRO (Toyota MR2 G-Limited/~460K) -vs- (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. III/~840K)
Course: Akagi - Downhill - Dry - Night Boost: Off
The person I went against tonight was probably the best racer that regularly comes to the arcade. He holds the records for about 2/3 of all the tracks on the machine. I had recently picked up a few new techniques to use on Akagi DH, so I challenge him to a match, thinking he's probably gonna beat me anyway. I match him most of the way off the line, not getting past him until after the conseqs (checkpoint 1 area), and he turns off his headlights so I can't see how far behind me he is. My heart's pounding for the entire run, cuz I'm suspecting he's right behind me the entire way. There's a part in the 3rd section, shortly after the checkpoint if I remember right, where there are two hairpins. I do a gas-off drift for the first one, and floor it through the second one, barely missing scraping the wall, and continue on going full throttle, thinking he's right behind me, but I instead go on to finish the race ahead by 166.
Immediately after that, he continues, initiating a challenge against me, and takes me to Irohazaka Downhill Wet Night, and proceeds to pwn me by over 400 (including the 10 or so seconds that I was hung up on the wall in the jumps sweatdrop )

Beating my teacher for akina.
I was making turns at only 120km, as he makes it at 130km. He slowed down at the end of the two hairpins after the five hairpins, as I tryed a new move at the last turn coming up to the straight away as I shift down to fourth gear and braking drift and shot straight out the corner coming out at fifth gear. He was like "Oh s**t" As I blasted past him. As he caught up it was the last coner and we both turn as he stayed at the inside since he knew the map way way more than I did as I was like (Blank) and out of nowhere I shifted to fourth about 7 meters from the end and block him off and won my first game against my Akina teacher. heart

at milpitas golfland today my story begins... stock MR2 VS b-cat's FC akina dh dry day I was doing pretty bad so he slow down for me from sections 1-3, as we approach sec. 4 i was behind like less than 50m and we cleared every single sec. 4 hairpin. Then the moment of truth, the last hairpin we both cleared, both saw finish line, and somehow, I'm guessing because his car has a decent amount of pts., his front bumper touched the finish line before me. witnesses: abcbadcat(the opponent) nobuhiko and some other people

Real Life:
So my freind is next to me in his RX7 (he has a 1994 FD) and I decide I want to pass him. Well it's no good, he downshifts and decides we've got to duke it out. So I downshift, and we start blaring our engines on the highway.
We both get to about 130mph (ish) before we come over a crest, and there's a bunch of traffic. By this point im infront, so I get in the fast lane, and my buddy pulls behind me, neither of us letting off the gas.
Anywho, it was just really funny cause we were blowing by soccer mom's in minivans at like 150mph. Finally we slow down.
And I look over to my right, and there's this gay a** civic!
It's silver, with a huge FnF vynil, and a nasty widebody kit, big fartcan muffler, and like, 20 inch rims hahha.
He slams on his gas, his little auto downshifts, and he like. Starts to kinda crawl away. So I pull up close enough next to him to lean out my window and knock on his.
Startled he looks over at me and I flip him off.
I don't even downshift and I just pull away. Fast. I couldn't stop laughing. The funny part is later when I was working at the arcade, the same kid showed up and told all his INitial D poser buddies that he saw an R32 on the highway.
He comes to get change from me, and then he recognized me.
Funny funny s**t.

I think of 2 recently memorable battles.
1st - 8v vs R32 - I was fished by some scrub to myogi/cw/wet - Funny thing is, I blocked my way to victory XD
2nd - 8v vs Capp - Boost off akina/dh/dry battle - Got him on the last gutter turn, double eraser'd and entered/exited at 169. Just barely passed him, Everyone went Ohh!!!.
P.S. - 3rd battle, i wasn't racing - Capp vs Evo V on Happ/ib/dry - The Evo V lost by 0.1m...everyone was groaning he didn't win...truly funny.
P.P.S. - Dooboo, get outta my forums razz

Other Memorable Battles:
Victory over king course cars!
Beating the master of akina in our area; 8v (me) vs 86T (Him) both FT (This was a few months ago); Akina/dh/dry; Song: Crazy for Love; Ok, before the race i had won a couple of battles to some average racers, when all of a sudden I look up, after i won the race before, and it said MOODY at the front of the line. Naturally, I thought "Oh Sh*t...it's heath...i'mma get murdered...(since he runs straight 3'00 and i ran '05)" anyways, he takes me to akina, i'd suppose he'd take me to his best course to train me to get better at it...he's cool like that...but there we are at the starting line, auras blazin, his 17, mine 22, and the timer starts counting down. 3, 2, 1, go! and we're off, naturally i got the lead, since the 86T's 11k rpm engine has crappy startup, and we were neck and neck for about the 1st half of the race. After the RhoD, He had taken a faster line than me, and was frantically trying to pass me before the 3 lane left turn. Due to blocking, I wound up in the wrong lane for the turn and ended up getting passed. I got discouraged that he passed me, seeing how i was a real good blocker then...people called me the demon blocker...lmao. anyways, i stayed close to him after the turn, but he got a small bit of distance on me when we started rollin thru the quad hairpins, but he made a mistake at the next turn and i started gaining on him rapidly. by the time i was on his tail, we were at the final hairpin (the one before the looong 3 lane stretch), and we had both taken it great, he took it at 148, and i took it at 149, but he managed to keep up with my accel b/c of the trueno's strong 5th gear. As We neared the final turns, I tried passing him, but to no use, I really thought i was going to lose, but at the final gutter turn, we both turned in at 170, i double erasered, he didnt eraser at all, and all of a sudden, his car starts slipping out from the gutter! I slowly started passing him, and after the turn, we were side by side, and i out-acceled him barely, turned to get the lead before the soft left, and won by 2m. Everyone was completely blown away.
