If you've got a memorable battle you'd like to share, post what car you were using and what car your opponent was using, or the two cars that were racing if you weren't the one racing yourslef, what version it was, and what exactly happened that made it memorable.
Mine happened to be in Version 2.
My FT DC2 vs. my friend's FT Spirit-R on Akagi UH Dry.
Essentially, the race was mine until I made a mistake at the V-turn. I got passed, but not very badly. I kept up with my friend for the time being, up until the consecutives of section 4, at which he pulled away just a bit.
Then, to my luck, he nudged the wall just a bit on the last right turn whereas I cleared it perfectly.
Now, this guy doesn't like to block, seeing that it's not an -honorable- thing to do. Plus, the thought of a drag to the finish was intense! And that's what it was. Basically, he had the right lane and I had the left lane. I was steadily pulling on him, but no one knew if I would be able to pull ahead at the end.
I ended up winning by about 5m. Talk about luck!

hmm one that comes to mind, and i know i shared this in the thread, but i'll post it out again....
it was my FD vs AE86 on Iro DH, i was no where near the skill level i am when i played this battle but it was a good one none the less
off the jump i got the lead, but the 86 eventually caught up and took the lead in the straights as i could hang with him in the turns, so throughout each turn he took off a lil more and a lil more, so i was thinking to myself that the only way i could make this a race was to take the jumps, so as we approached the jumps, i readied myself figuring that he would take them, but lo' he did NOT!!!! so after i took the first jump, i inched closer, then next a lil closer, and on the 3rd i took him, everyone said it was crazy how it looked cuz they said that on his screen it was open road then you just saw a black FD fly in from the top of the screen and just take off whee xd i remember everyone was like OOOH SNAP!!!! lol the guy who i was racing against was like "AAAH!!!, you lil Mother F'r!!!!" then i took the 4th jump to keep the lead after going into the last 5 hairpins he tried to take me again in the 4th hairpin by going to the inside, but i pulled THE perfect defensive drift as i sealed off the apex by being right on the nose, so he ran into my car not being able to pass and from then on through the tunnel i had sealed my nerve racking victory, after words my opponent turned and put out his hand and said, "you lil f'r, nice race" he was arguably the 2nd best guy at that arcade, i was in the top 5 for sure, prolly was toss up between me and him for best one there at the time, but now im sure he's gotten sooooo much better, but yeah thats my storytime xd until next time kiddos 3nodding

my most memorable battle was actually one that i lost, which isn't uncommonat all......but anyways, it was about 10 months ago.... my 60k R32 v.s. a 300k DC2 on Akagi DH wet.......i got the lead at the beginning, but messed up at the first big turn at the beginning, but still retained my lead....i did pretty well the other part of the race, especially the s-curves and the DC2 couldn't really keep up in the wet terrain.....the part that really bit me was the hairpins of Akagi....i lost control on 2 of them and lost some speed, but not alot....it was enough for him to catch-up and ride my tail though and at the last corner before the finish, we lined up with me on the inside.....i thought for sure that i had it won but somehow, even though it looked like i won by about 5m, he somehow managed to win...he had made a wild dash to the inside at the end, but even with that, he should've lost......that battle baffled me and still bugs me today....

but yea...Put me on rain or snow....I've only ever lost to Flo

My best battle memory was between my NA6C and my buddies FD Spirit-R at Shomaru Inbound. I started off fairly well and we were bumper to bumper the entire first half of the race. Then I guess I went in too quickly and rubbed the wall allowing him to slide past me and into the lead. He got about a good 50m ahead but started to get sloppy with his confidence. He does that a lot. I retained my focus and caught up but, as you know Shomaru, just couldn't find an opening to get past. Finally on the last S curve he went in too fast and I pushed his rear bumper and squeezed by on the inside. I beat him by only 12m. That was close. smile

It was me in my RX8 and they had an evo 5. It was back and forth the whole race and I pulled a tak and as he slid to far out i cut to the inside. It was realy cool and soo close.

Ver 2. Akina DH
played on old Rival from Ver 1.
Kyron will know his ID.com forum name is Matt.
when at 1st in Ver 1. we played and he lost to me. and because he made a stupid bet with everyone that if he lost he'ld give me his card. we played with my evo3 and his evo 7. in the end. best 2 out of 3 I still won and he gave me his card.(even tho i didn't want it)
a yr later after Ver2 came out we had a rematch no boost Akina DH with DC2's I wasn't abig fan of driving that car but since it's a challenge i couldn't refuse. I battled him.
He's improved alot since then and he took the lead off the bat.
the entire time since Ver2 started my motto was to follow my opponent closely till i see a weak point. I followed his line and so the race was really fast paced. we cut through the apex and cleaned every corner with me still rearing behind him. The crowd watch quietly and as we passed through the final stretch after the big left hander. he stayed on the outside and i swung far right. the right hander came and he went in as i swung out left and shot into the turn. the moment the turn ended he swung out all the way as my DC2 just slipped into the inside line. our DC2's were neck in neck for that short second. and I immedietly shifted down to 4 as the speed increased slightly i cut my car right infront of him and won the battle. and Kyros if you have a hard time believing this story. Ask the guys in the forum. Boro/borborla was there when it happened. He was the 1st one to say "NICE" and caught the attention of everyone in the arcade lol.
at that time the avg time everyone got was 2:55:XXX .. me and Matt raced that battle and got 2:53:XXX low.

my most memorable battle was against some cocky a** kid in a FD spirit R...around 160k and my pathetic 30k evo 3...it was on akagi wet UH...he gave me a slight head start but then i ended up screwing uphalfway cuz i forgot it was wet...he pulled about 100m ahead of me and i think he let me catch up cuz i gained on him though the whole race...and i dont remember but that section with all the sharp corners and stuff he screwed up which let me right on his a**. then he screwed up again on the last hairpin leading to the easy right and onto the final strait...i was ahead at the strait but he was gaining on me...barely won by 4m...i was like...omfg! did i just do that?!?!?!?!? moral of the story...sucks to be cocky

domokun a memorable battle of mine was when i fished my cousin.. hhaha hit was great... i let everyone race him... and he beat them of course... so he had about... 7 consecutive wins with his 86 Levin... then i was like.. hrrmmm.... 14,ooo free points... Puahaha... so i put the dollar in and took him to Myogi Wet with my r32... and i was taunting him by swerving in front of him just cuz his top end was 201 and mine was like... 206... or something like that... domokun

don't taunt....i remember when i fainally beat Taku...last corner...well....go tmy momentum going down the slope one the last few corners...then took the last turn prefectly, and flew by him for the win.....

I lost and took him to Happogahara, an unfamiliar course for both of us and smoked him, after which we went back to Myogi...where I lost and back to Akagi.....for like an hour........pissed me of that he kept going back to a place where he knows he's gonna win and where i have no chance....
