UNCOMMONS/RARES/LIMITED/DONATION ITEMS!
(Latest Full Update - Monday February 21st, 9:50 PM)

Determining the Value of a limited/donation ItemBefore you go out and buy or sell an item, I'm sure you want to figure out exactly what the prices are and what is a good deal, and what a rip-off is. In general, I have my own values in my head as to what the item-values are (and maybe I'll create a price guide) but for now, please reference the following places to get your prices. The price guides(Images are taken from the Price Guide Sticky created by Relikk)These are the four most prominent price guides on the GAIA Exchange - three older and one newer. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, and I will outline my personal thoughts here for you. Each guide uses "proofs" for their prices, or otherwise links and screenshots that prove an item was sold for such and such amount. Please note that the price guides are just that. GUIDES. They do NOT create the prices, though they may influence them at times simply by being there. Also remember that your goal is to eventually be confident enough in your knowledge of the prices that you don't even need a price guide anymore! Gen is the oldest and most-used price guide on the exchange. Even though it has a good reputation as the "original price guide," I see this guide as the worst Price Guide on the sticky. Don't get me wrong (I love some of the people in the GEN) but half the prices are blatantly wrong and most of the others are very close to being wrong, and quite frankly, I've lost all faith in that guide. The main problem is that there are fewer workers on the updators list, and thusly the updaters who are still around are constantly being overworked. Additionally, GEN calculates prices according to the middle prices they already have for items, and one small mistake can balloon into a huge problem across the board. Not as often updated as it should be, GEN is often-times wrong, most of the time underpricing items while it isn't updated and overpricing when it is in order to compensate for the lack of updating. The fact that people who don't exchange much or people who don't even come on Gaia because of a busy real life has destroyed this guide. It must be noted though that Aquafire did her best to improve the guide, and really has, most notably in reporting items from the same letter different prices instead of always reporting them the same just because they came from the same letter. Her recent modship has limited her influence over the guide, yet she still tries to work on it even now to help her successors. The middle child of the three older price guides in terms of age, EVIL is known as the most controversial price guide out of three on the sticky but is also known as the most accurate and proven one to veteran exchangers. The prices they report are created from proofs, but some remain skeptical about the way they go about reporting their prices. They are also unique in the fact that they have a guild in which their entire guide is based, unlike other guides that simply have a guild for chatting. Araunah, the original owner of the guide, isn't around much anymore and so Dlastbird and Umaeril have taken the reins. Whatever the case, EVIL is notorious at having higher but accurate prices (normally) than other guides, and is one of the best staffed, with people who are able and willing to devote tons of their time as well as a less-stressful and complicated procedure of reporting. Take their prices with a grain of salt though, even though I strongly suggest you look at their prices. Though they are generally right, they aren't a perfect guide and are sometimes wrong about the prices of some items. SIN is the youngest of the three but this doesn't mean that its necessarily the worst. FelineOddity has taken the reins of the guide and has been doing renovations in order to improve it and make it more known. Recently, people have been using SIN more and more as an alternative to GEN. Its added features such as a price increase/decreasing graph seperate it from the other guides and serves to provide some interesting insight into investing. Its staff has now created a new thread in which they can update the prices more efficiently, with posts by said members for specific time-frames of donation items and letters. Though it is the youngest guide, its prices are more accurate than most people think as a whole. I don't particularly look at its prices much, because I'm an older exchanger who was used to simply having two price guides, GEN and EVIL, but do take a look at them sometimes when you are trying to get an accurate gauge on the prices. Their prices tend to be slightly off for the 2003 stuff but their 2004 items are pretty accurate. The newest addition to the price guide sticky, and faced with some scepticism by people for intruding on the three original guides, GCG is becoming more used and known in the exchange. Headed by one user, instead of a group of users, the GCG presents an exchanger's point of view on the values of items. It has been noted by exchangers that the guide is more accurate than the others, though that can definitely change later. This price guide's methods are controversial, just like its sole owner. Since a singular user runs it, it has more flexibility to change, but when that user can't update, there is no backup person for updates. Additionally, the GCG neither uses or posts "proof links" which makes updates easier and faster, but calls into question the validity of the prices. Many users complain that GCG prices seem to be higher than the other price guides (much like they used to with EVIL) even though the owner states that the high prices are high only because they are accurate. However, many exchangers are becoming proponents of this guide and the exchanger who owns it has proven to be a successful one, which adds credence to the accuracy of the prices. As with all the other guides though, GCG is still a "guide" and should only be regarded as a guide with sometimes inaccurate prices, since it can't be updated all the time to match real market values. What are you looking at me funny for? The fact that I have the Marketplace in my price guide section? Don't be. The truth of the matter is, I tend to use the Vend (Marketplace) as my ultimate November 2003 through Present Day price guide when I'm not sure of what an item is worth at the moment. With easy numbers to view, a search feature that gets you any specific item you want, and affected by the minute with ups and downs created by supply and demand, the marketplace is extremely accurate if viewed over time. However, because it is a fast-paced scene where you have the raw data in front of you, you must have prior knowledge before going in to stand a chance of knowing what is a good deal and what isn't. A quick mind and an even quicker finger will get you far in the marketplace, but if you slip once, you stand to lose quite a bit. If you don't know the general marketprice for an item before going in, read the price guides, or come here and ask me what I think the prices are. A note to those inclined to believe the marketplace no matter what: The higher priced the item is, and the fewer copies there are in the vend of that particular itemm the less accurate the vend really is. At 50K+, the items get really messy. Jacked Up Items from 2003 are notorious for being jacked up in the vend, no pun intended. So just take it all with a grain of salt and use your common sense. Remember that the items still in the vend are items that haven't managed to sell yet! With the installation of the Fish Market Subforum, located in the Gaia Fishing forum, the FISH price guide has been born. This guide lists all the fish prices that they can find and though I'm not sure on the accuracy of their prices, it is still a worthwhile guide to check out for prices. Time will tell if this guide is maintained well enough to be an accurate price guide for fish.

2003 DONATION ITEMS/LETTERS!(Latest Update - Monday, February 21st, 3:58 AM)
NOTE: 1K = 1000 gold
Investment Color KeyCurrently Stagnant - Item worth hasn't changed much recently. Consider dead weight if investing. Currently Rising - Item is going up in worth. Considered good in investing. Currently Falling - Item is going down in worth. Bad investments. Fluctuating - Item is not a reliable investment, but can potentially be sold for high amounts at some times.
(Note: These are just average/normal prices) (Flukes may happen and items are sold for less or more. Take advantage of those to profit. ^_^)
June 2003 June 2003 Letter - unknown value - most likely more than Halo Currently Rising Halo - 74 million+ gold? Currently RisingNotes: Very rare item to see for sale - user who sells generally dictates what he or she wants. Price in general is notorious for speedy increases but the item-trade price is usually around 2 Bear Hats + enough stuff to get another and have a bit left over. Note on where I got my prices: The last Halo sold was sold here to me for Double Bear Hat, Bunnies, DJs, Double Minis, Sept 03, Oct 03, Double DT + JU Shirt + 04 hoard = 67800K: Halo A comparable high offer was also available at the time (July 03 + Panda + triple August + October 03 = 65 million). I made the low value the value of the other offer, and have not placed a high end value because Halo sales are rare and hard to find. AND the halo sale before this one, the final winning bid was Double Bear Hat + Bunnies + Double Headphones + stuff so I'm not just basing this all on one sale. I actually updated the prices lower than I could have and originally I had the Halo set to 50 million when Bear Hats were 15 million. Its also approximately triple bear hats, which is what I originally had the price set to. Don't like it? Thats fine - its just a guide and I'm not trying to make it harder for you to get your halo. The values of numbers are irrelevant - the normal item trades are usually Double Bear Hats + enough to get another + some.
July 2003 July 2003 Letter - 22-25 million+ Currently Rising Panda Hat - 21-24 million+ Currently Rising Kodiak - 22-25 million+ Currently RisingNotes: Due to the increase of some of the other item prices, offers on Bear Hats have gotten significantly higher lately. Bunnies + Chickies + Ports (18-20 million) seems to be the norm. Rising at the moment. Tough to find for sale and even harder to actually buy. Grizzly is generally worth more than Panda, by an undefined amount. The reason for this, in exchange opinion, is because less people opened July letters for Grizzlies than for Pandas (something like a 1:3 ratio) and thusly Grizzlies are rarer than Pandas.
August 2003 August 2003 Letter - 7.6-8.2 million Currently Rising Portable Stereo Headphones - 7.6-8.1 + million Currently Rising DJ Studio Headphones - 7.6-8.2 million Currently Rising Notes: Prices are on the rise again as headphones owners are buying and then reselling the headphones in an attempt to get more than the high price they already paid. DJs owners typically want more to Ports for their DJs, which is a change that has happened since avatar 2.0 system made DJs wearable with other head items but made Ports unwearable with some items they used to work with. However, Ports sometimes do sell for more than DJs.
September 2003 September 2003 Letter - 3-3.4 million Currently Rising Mini Angel Wings - 3-3.4 million Currently Rising Mini Nitemare Wings - 3-3.3 million Currently Rising Notes: Downgrading a September is a pain even though the price difference is really high. Angelics are quickly distancing NM in price due to popularity. General price in the exchange is Sash + Tail + items as most sellers want October items or letters in the offer. (Many are now asking for double tails though) Undergoing a price rise at the moment.
October 2003 October 2003 Letter - 1550-1600K+ Currently Rising Angelic Sash - 1150-1200K+ Currently Rising Devil Tail - 1550-1600K+ Currently RisingNotes: Undergoing a price rise - high ends are unstable. It usually takes quite a bit to add to a Sash to upgrade to a Tail or letter and that difference is quickly growing. Good investments overall and climb much faster than some of the other items in 03.
November 2003 Nov 2003 Letter - 310-330k+ Currently Rising OMG - 310-330k+ Currently Rising AFK - 300-315K+? Currently RisingNotes: Novs fluctuate depending on time of day - OMGs sometimes go for more than Novs. OMGs will go for AFKs + gold. Pretty good investments.
December 2003 Dec 2003 Letter - 230-240K+ Currently Rising Angelic Scarf - 227-237K+ Currently Rising Nitemare Scarf - 230-238K+ Currently RisingNotes: Angelic Scarves and Nitemare Scarves take turns being the more popular/sellable item. Nitemare Scarf is generally the more popular though. Currently increasing. The high ends are unstable at this time. Looks like the scarves may end up catching the November hats after all.

2004-2005 DONATION ITEMS/LETTERS!(Latest Update - Monday, February 21st, 12:39 AM)
January 2004 Jan 2004 Letter - 70-75K+ Currently Rising Emo Bag - 57-60K Currently Stagnant/Falling Chain Wallet - 70-75K+ Currently RisingNotes: Chain wallet seems to be more popular than EMO bags and can sell for as much as or more than the letter sometimes. EMO bag prices stagnated after the new messenger bags were released. Chain wallets are undergoing a price rise but the high ends are not stable - it feels like an artificial price rise more than anything, and though the prices are increasing on the Jans and wallets, it is not known at this time what price they will stagnate at.
February 2004 Feb 2004 Letter - 10-13K Currently Stagnant Zony Discman - 10-13K+ Currently Stagnant Zony MP3 - 10-12K+ Currently StagnantNotes: Decent investments but there are definitely others that are better. Slight economic depression making prices fall slightly but will rise afterwards. Discmans are starting to become the more popular.
March 2004 March 2004 Letter - 30-32K Currently Rising Fuzzy Penguin Slippers - 30-32K Currently Rising Baby Seal Slippers - 30-32K+ Currently RisingNotes: Rising again. Slippers go for more than the letter sometimes, and both items fluctuate as the more popular one. Seals are generally more than Penguins though. Downgrade and then sell if you're going to sell these off. Decent investments but there are much better ones in the market.
April 2004 April 2004 Letter - 3.5-4.5K Currently Rising Hammi Hat - 3.25-4.25K Currently Rising Bammi Hat - 3-4K Currently Stagnant Notes: Increased slightly in the April letter and Hammi Hats. Definitely not a good long-term investment.
May 2004 May 2004 Letter - 3.1-4K Currently Stagnant Monkey Pajamas - 2.75-3.1K Currently Stagnant Bear Pajamas - 3-3.75K Currently FallingNotes: Just bad items / investments overall. Prices stagnant and have been stagnant or falling since the items came out. Bear PJs go for more than Monkey. Do NOT buy these for future investments.
June 2004 June 2004 Letter - 36-38K Currently Stagnant Angelic Pendant - 28-30K Currently Stagnant Horns of the Demon - 36-38K+ Currently Stagnant Notes: High ends have hit a plateau at around this price - hurt by the recent depression due to housing since people are selling a bunch of them and are impatient. Pendants are stagnant at the moment because of the release of the Demonic alternatives in Jan 05. Horns sometimes go for more than letters. Very good investments.
July 2004 July 2004 Letter - 21-23K+ Currently Stagnant Kitsune Mask - 9-11+ Currently Stagnant Steel-Plated Ninja Headband - 21-23K+ Currently StagnantNotes: This recent rise made the ninja bands jump around 4K. These are good investments though in general. Sometimes Ninja Headbands go for more than the letter. Kitsune isn't as popular. High ends as yet unstable.
August 2004 August 2004 Letter - 18-20K+ Currently Stagnant Winged Anklets - 18-20K Currently Stagnant Golden Laurels - 16-18k Currently StagnantNotes: The housing release has created a slight downturn in price as people attempt to sell their items to get housing stuff. If investing, buying sometime during this depression may be a good idea though you probably shouldn't go for the laurels. Anklets go for more than Augusts usually.
September 2004 September 2004 Letter -7-8K Currently Stagnant Bani Clips - 7-8K+ Currently Stagnant Goti Clips 7-8K+ Currently StagnantNotes: The items sometimes go for more than the letter, depending on the people selling in the vend. Bani go for more than the letter most of the time - Stagnant at the moment. Hit by the donation letter depression due to housing.
October2004 October 2004 Letter - 10-11K+ Currently Stagnant Demonic Pitchfork - 10-11K+ Currently Stagnant Angelic Staff - 10-11K+ Currently StagnantNotes: Slightly stagnant after this recent price rise. The pitchfork seems to be emerging as the more popular item but in the past, the pitchfork and staff have fluctuated as the most popular item. Pitchforks go for more than the letter sometimes. Great investments for long term, though their prices may be influenced later by weapons from the battle system.
November 2004 November 2004 Letter - 4-4.25K Currently Stagnant BTK Hat - 3-3.6K Currently Stagnant Ice Gauntlet - 3.5-4K Currently StagnantNotes: Gauntlets seem to be the more popular item at this point, because you can wear two and it can be either a gauntlet or blades. Gaunlets go for more than the letter sometimes.
December 2004 December 2004 Letter - 4-4.4K Currently Stagnant OMFG Hat - 4-4.3K+ Currently Stagnant Fire Gauntlets - 3.5-4.2K+ Currently Stagnant Notes: Prices are now on a plateau for now. OMFG Hat and Fire Gauntlets sometimes go for more than the letter. Fire gauntlets seem to go for higher prices than the letters most of the time.
January 2005 January 2005 Letter- 4-4.4K Currently Stagnant Demonic Pendant 4-4.4K+ Currently Stagnant Angelic Bracelet 3.8-4.2+ Currently Stagnant Notes: Currently stagnant but the bracelets rose to pendant prices - Items go for more than the letter a good deal of the time.
February 2005 February 2005 Letter - 5.5-6.5K Currently Rising Lunar Cloak - 5.5-6.5K Currently Rising Solar Cloak 5.5-6K Currently StagnantNotes: Just opened and currently taking a slight fall after rising to around 7.5K initially. Very popular items - rivalling the June items in opening popularity and prices. These will most likely continue to fall slightly. Even though they're popular, the sheer amount of them may drag down prices. They will probably be good investments though. Items almost always go for more than the letter. And the lunar seems to be more popular than solar and sells for more. Lunar seems to be the replacement for Dark Cape that people have always wanted, and Dark Capes are being sold in favor of them. Fairy Wings are also less popular now that there are these cloaks out there.

2003 EVENT ITEMS!(Latest Update - Monday, February 21st, 7:50 PM)
NOTE: 1K = 1000 gold
Investment Color KeyCurrently Stagnant - Item worth hasn't changed much recently. Consider dead weight if investing. Currently Rising - Item is going up in worth. Considered good in investing. Currently Falling - Item is going down in worth. Bad investments. Fluctuating - Item is not a reliable investment, but can potentially be sold for high amounts at some times.
(Note: These are just average/normal prices) (Flukes may happen and items are sold for less or more. Take advantage of those to profit. ^_^)
Gaia Ball 2003 Items Black Bow Tie (male) - 2.3-2.75 million+? Currently Rising Red Rose Corsage (female) - 18-23 million Currently RisingNotes: While both items were obtained at the Gaia 2003 ball, their prices are notoriously different. Demand for Rose Corsage is much higher because of its inherent uniqueness. Black Bow Tie has different-colored versions in the main common stores. BBT used to go for Minis or a September 03 and recent prices have shown that its value remains in that ballpark.
Easter 2003 Items Easter Egg - Currently unknown price Bunny Slippers - 9-9.6 million Currently Rising Chicky Slippers - 9-9.5 million Currently Rising Notes: Bunnies are worth more than Chickies in general because of popularity. Bunny Slipper owners generally will ask others to add to Chickies to get Bunnies, and offers on Bunnies tend to be higher than those on Chickies. Lately, the norm has been Headphones + October item/letter for the slippers.

My thoughts? I think they'll rise slowly after being stagnant for a little longer and then if some big craze happens again, they'll explode in price, but not for awhile at least.
Christmas 2003 Items Santa's Gift (Contains Jolly Hat) 3000-4000 gold Currently Stagnant Jolly Hat - 1000-1300 gold Currently Stagnant Christmas Charity Giftbox (Contains Jolly Slippers) 2500-3000 gold Currently Stagnant Jolly Slippers - 750-1000 gold Currently StagnantNotes: 2003 Christmas items are undergoing a fall after the Christmas Season is over, and new Xmas items were released. Prices as yet unstable. The boxes that contain them are stagnant still though.

2004 & 2005 EVENT ITEMS!(Latest Update - Monday, February 21st, 9:00 PM)
NOTE: 1K = 1000 gold
Investment Color KeyCurrently Stagnant - Item worth hasn't changed much recently. Consider dead weight if investing. Currently Rising - Item is going up in worth. Considered good in investing. Currently Falling - Item is going down in worth. Bad investments. Fluctuating - Item is not a reliable investment, but can potentially be sold for high amounts at some times.
(Note: These are just average/normal prices) (Flukes may happen and items are sold for less or more. Take advantage of those to profit. ^_^)
Gaia 1st Anniversary Ball Items Paper Party Hat - 300-500 gold Currently Falling Noise Maka - 300-500 gold Currently Stagnant S Gaia Tshirt - 10000-12000 gold Currently Rising M Gaia Tshirt - 5000-6500 gold Currently Rising XL Gaia Tshirt - 5000-6500 gold Currently Rising Mail from Gambino - 2500+? gold Currently Stagnant GAIA First Annual Memorial Photo - 1500-2500 gold Currently StagnantNotes: Party Favors (Noise Maka and Party Hat) fell a little after the new years craze died down. In terms of Gaia shirts, the S Gaia Tshirt has risen in popularity and is the highest-priced one out of all of them. These tend not to rise quickly. Besides the S Gaia T, they're not really good investments but if you have them, know that they will rise eventually, if only slowly.
Gaia Second Annual Ball Item G Pin - 2500-3500 gold Currently FallingNotes: G Pins were handed out during the Gaia Second Annual Ball of 2004. The rerelease of them in 2005 Gaia anniversary ball has made them fall somewhat.
Easter 2004 Items Easter Basket - 1000-1250 gold Currently Stagnant Bunny Hat - 750-1250 gold Currently Stagnant Chicky Hat - 750-1000 gold Currently StagnantNotes: They may not be that great an investment but they are very inexpensive and if you hoard a ton of them, you may stand to gain much profit over time if you can wait that long. Good long term investment, bad shortterm investment.
1st Gaian Olympics Items White Olympic Tshirt - 100-200 gold Currently Falling Black Olympic Tshirt - 100-200 gold Currently FallingNotes: Pretty much forgotten over the course of the year, the Olympic Tshirts have fallen in price to a very very low amount. However, they are such that if they rose, there would be a high percentage of profit no matter what the rise was. Possibly a good investment in bulk, if you purchase at this price, but don't expect them to rise any time soon.
Halloween 2004 Items Vials of Unknown Liquid - 150-200 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 1 (Contains RJU Shirt) - 1500-1900 gold Currently Stagnant Really Jacked Up Shirt - 1200-1750 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 2 (Contains RJU Boots) 1000-1300 gold Currently Falling Really Jacked Up Boots - 900-1200 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 3 (Contains RJU Pants) 1500-1750 gold Currently Stagnant Really Jacked Up Pants - 1000-1300 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 4 (Contains RJU Gloves) 1500-2000 gold Currently Stagnant Really Jacked Up Gloves 500-750 gold Currently Falling Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 5 (Contains Disgust) 1000-1250 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Disgust - 500-700 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 6 (Contains Joy) 500-750 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Joy 400-600 gold Currently Stagnant Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 7 (Contains JU Cape) 2500-3000 gold Currently Fluctuating Jacked Up Cape 1800-2200 gold Currently Fluctuating Jack's Grab Bag 2k4 8 (Contains Jack-et) 1500-2000 gold Currently Stagnant The Jack-et - 1000-1500 gold Currently Stagnant Human G CORP Tshirt - 2500-3500 gold Currently Stagnant Zombie G CORP Tshirt - 9000-10000 gold Currently stagnant Human G CORP Labcoat - 30000-32000 gold Currently Falling Zombie G CORP Labcoat - 30000-32000 gold Currently FallingNotes: 04 Halloween items have gone into a stagnant phase. The Human labcoat, oddly, has overtaken the Zombie labcoat in price. Investment advice? If you're trying to hoard Jacked Items, now is the time to do so - they're at their low point and are stagnant for now, but they will rise from this point I believe. However, I do think that Jacked items are a long-term investment. If you're wanting them to increase in price quickly, they won't. But if you're patient and are willing to wait a few months, you will get results.
Christmas 2004 Items Xmas Gift from Ian - 300-750 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Shirt - 200-300 gold Currently Stagnant Xmas Gift from Agatha - 500-850 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Shoes - 100-150 gold Currently Falling Xmas Gift from Leon - 500-750 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Pants - 100-200 gold Currently Falling Xmas Gift from Ruby & Peyo - 500-750 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Hat - 100-200 gold Currently Stagnant Xmas Gift from Sasha - 500-800 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Boxers - 100-200 gold Currently Falling Xmas Gift from Meredith - 600-900 gold Currently Stagnant Jingle Bells - 400-700 gold Current Stagnant Xmas Gift from Moira - 500-800 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Gloves - 200-400 gold Currently Stagnant Xmas Gift from Edmund - 500-800 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Socks - 100-200 gold Currently Stagnant Xmas Gift from Vanessa - 700-800 gold Currently Stagnant Spirited Scarf - 200-400 gold Currently StagnantXmas Gifts are received for Caroling around the stores during the 2004 Christmas Season - every fifth person you sing to will give you a gift. Almost all prices have now stabilized.
Gaia 2nd Anniversary Ball Items V Pin (left half) - 400-500 gold Currently Stagnant V Pin (right half) - 400-500 gold Currently Stagnant Gaia 2nd Anniversary Party Hat - 100-150 gold Currently Falling Gaia 2nd Anniversary Balloon - 100-150 gold Currently Falling G Pin - 2500-3500 gold Currently FallingNotes: Given out during the second anniversary ball. The most recent event - all prices fell to these lower prices, with the party favors still falling slightly. The V pins have stabilized at around this price, and the G Pins were rereleased in limited numbers, so their prices also fell. Probably not a great investment in the long run.

OTHER LIMITED/HARD TO OBTAIN ITEMS!(Latest Update - Monday February 21st, 9:30 PM)
(Note: These prices cannot be determined very exactly, besides the bronze medal, since they are very rarely sold, if at all)
Monthly Art Contest Winner Medals Gold Medal Note: Given to the first place winner of the monthly art contest at the Art Arena. Value unknown as no Gold medals have ever been sold. It is not yet known if there will be further Art Arena contests, though it is probably that there will be in the future. Silver Medal Given to the 2nd place winner of the month art contest at the Art Arena. Value unknown as only one Silver was sold and that was a long time ago. Approx values of people's offers on the last one (and were not taken) exceed 5.5-7 million gold. It is not yet known if there will be further Art Arena contests, though it is probably that there will be in the future. Bronze Medal - 750K to 900K Currently StagnantNotes: Given to 10 3rd place winners at the Monthly Art Contest at the Art Arena. The only medal sold on a regular basis. Prices fell a bit. However, considering the fact that art arena competitions have been temporarily suspended (or permanently), the supply of these will decrease and the price may rise. It is not yet known if there will be further Art Arena contests, though it is probably that there will be in the future.
Fishing TrophiesNotes: These awards are given out monthly to those who place in the fishing game. An overall best trophy is given to the top fisher, 1 gold award is given to each of the three top fishers of each lake, 1 silver medal is given to the 2nd place finisher of each lake, and 7 bronze trophies are given to those who place 3-10th in each lake. The trophies of each lake are unique and different from one another.
Winners of the trophies can be found below
[Gaia fishing winners, December 2004]
The prices on these are hard to determine as there are currently only one month's worth of them out there. As of now, prices could be whatever the seller dictates, within reason, though its noticable that most of the trophies do not go over 1 million at this time.
Fishing trophies are tradable and equipable (You can hold them in your hand). They have no sellback as they cannot be sold back to the store.Overall Fishing TrophyGAIA Gold Fishing Trophy This golden trophy is given to the top fisher in all of GAIA. FISH PRICES! (Note: Fish, Junk, and Bait are not tradable to other users by the bank
(Latest Update - Monday, February 21st, 9:40 PM) (Note: These are just average/normal prices) (Flukes may happen and items are sold for less or more. Take advantage of those to profit. ^_^)Fishing Exchange ItemsNotes: Before you proceed, I would like you to first know my investment ideas on these items. I'm predicting that the normal fish hats (the small, medium, and large hats) are going to be falling in price. More and more hats will become available as people fish and these aren't that hard to get.
In terms of the rares or Ultras as some people call them, I think they'll continue to rise in price or stay stagnant at those prices. The only reason we can create these masks right now is because of the glitch that happened when fishing was released which gave many users a ton of ultra rare fish. As more are created, less ultras are available less of each hat can be made. At the rate in which these fish are caught, taking into consideration how attached people are to these fish and the competitiveness of people trying to make them, I really think these hats will start to rise like limited items. Its simply not feasible to create one yourself by fishing.
Please keep these points in mind when you're buying the hats or you may regret it later. If it is your wish to wait and see if the prices on ultras fall, or if you're too impatient and want to buy one of the more common hats now, thats your choice.
