I've had the great misfortune of reading this book but the musical isn't actaully going to follow it after all or well rather it takes the idea that Erik haveing a son from it and thats about it. Then again that shouldn't be too much of a surprise from Webber seeing as how he didnt really follow the origional book all that well the first time around either.

All of the characters become OC and Erik does the nasty with an automatron Christine after comeing home to his penthouse from a day at the Freak Show he is running! I mean I highly doubt someone who was so poorly treated in a freak show would be running one and I'm not even going to touch the automatron bit.
