i'm not going to use it because i don't give two shits about cars.

it does bother me that it's 100% a vehicle (ha!) for Scion product placement. i mean, i dig that a sponsor gives you money and you have to give them something in return (or else you move from the realm of prostitution into the realm of fraud), but let's look at the quests as an example: the items you got were inspired by the various movies, but they weren't just... a t-shirt with the studio's logo on it, for instance. but this is using the ACTUAL PRODUCT, the thing the advertising is trying to sell, as an item or feature on the site. that seems just very inappropriate to me.

speaking of inappropriate, i would say maybe half the population of the site is old enough to drive, and the vast majority is too young to own, or think about purchasing, their own car - at least new! seems like a weird advertising partnership to me.

Yeah, I wish they had more choices in vehicles, instead of just those three.
Hell, I did choose "The Toaster" but I'd be more happy if I could've chosen the xA instead, or some other Toyota.

I wish you could hop into your own car when your not racing, and that the racing was more challenging.
Like I don't know, able to use the directional keys and other traffic to maneuver around or something. neutral

Though, I do love the 24/7 parking lot, I find that so much funner to walk around then towns. Even though it's only a small parking lot and nothing else to do walking wise. domokun heart

Yeah, the minimart is awesome! With all the flies swarming around the lights and the ads for red bino and zurg in the windows. XD

As for product placement... the only thing that bugs me is how they had to make the scion obviously superior to the other cars. What the hell? Like I'm gonna go out and buy an SUV because it had more options than a coupe on Gaia?

People have been asking for cars for a while now, and this is actually a pretty decent way to implement. Most just made suggestions like "dur... our houses could have garages and you could put stuff, like, on your dashboard." ...and where are the roads in Towns?

I wish they were more... sci-fi, too. Could we have a hover-car or something not so hum-drum? It's too real-world... but at the same time that makes it almost amusing.

And how the hell do you hit zombies? I have yet to hit a zombie (or a cow) while actively trying to. Yet everyone I race seems to hit zombies no problem. Man, that pisses me off. Total cheap shot. You can't ven see it coming because they're miles away from you, and then... completely stopped. -_-

I've hit cows. And zombies. And been abducted by aliens.

AND STILL WON THE FREAKING RACE, haha.

I think you have to be going 80+ to hit anything.

Yeah, "Floor it" seems to be the general answer.

There really needs to be the ability to actually brake though. And steer. If there was that much and maybe a circuit option I would be down with racing. I can't imagine why you would watch the races as they are. Some decent driving music wouldn't hurt either.

Or hell, at least the ability to cruise around in the car would be nice.

But yeah, I really dig the parking lots.

Needs more like this.

I was wondering how long it would be until someone mentioned Initial D. xD

And I just discovered that you press the button, not click it repeatedly. Bleh. <_<;

Well, technically "Multi track drifting" is from the train spinoff of Initial D. But yeah.

I just want to win a race because I'm more skilled when it comes to driving. I was hoping for something a little closer to at least Mario Kart than what we got.

Depending on the track, you could just hold the A button and stare off into space...

Well, maybe not. I hope there's a Mario Kart for the Wii, though.

In an 8 player race, you would get zapped in the a** by something or another.

But Mario Kart has that magical thing. Oh what is it called...

Variety. Yeah, thats the word. The track changes.

Mario Kart on the Wii would only be cool if it had online play. I would see it trying too hard to use the Wii controls that it doesn't really need. The DS version is awesome though.

You might still actually finish though. Maybe. After an hour or two.

Looking at the names for the different tracks on here, I'd figured there'd be at least scenery changes...

I'd have a hard time not laughing if Nintendo brought out some type of driving wheel for the Wii. The mental images I'm getting are just too amusing.

Yeah, you could finish most of them. Eventually. Well, no, you'd fail out first.

And yeah, I thought there were going to be all kinds of tracks and styles. I was kind of excited. Then I saw the cars, or rather the accessories and lack of ability to customize them. DISAPPOINTMENT. Even a background change once and awhile would be welcome.

Man, I can't even imagine that. It's just too weird. I just picture a 30 year old guy in his underwear holding it and running around the living room going "VROOM VROOM".

Though, it really could be a lot of fun for flight sims. Playing Star Fox with a flight wheel would be awesome.

Well, time trials would get done sooner or later.

I guess I've gotten jaded to the point where I don't really expect anything great from Gaia anymore, feature-wise. It wouldn't be too hard to just have a bunch of different backgrounds and music to chose from, I don't think.

That made my day. Especially because I know my brother would do that, get drunk, invite people over, and continue doing it.

Then there'd be some uproar about terrorists using it to train or something. <<; That does sound entertaining, though. One of my only reasons to go to arcades (other than Time Crisis 3) is the awesome flight battle sim.

I guess so, though racing against that ghost would be silly.

It's not like I expected much, but I still somehow expected more than this. At least 3 tracks and a cool paint job. Or, you know, the ability to steer if nothing else.

Half the fun is watching people play the Wii. Or the neighbors playing with their wii in their underwear. Funny either way.

Psh, terrorist this, terrorist that. Everything is terrorism. Besides, space shooters are hardly terrorism simulators. It would be a hard stretch to even connect the two. It would be damned fun though.

I like those flight sim arcade games. One of my favorites was one of the mobile ones, where the entire platform moves with you so when you barrel roll the entire thing spins. I used to get stuck upside down in those though. The operator was kind of impressed that I would get stuck like that though, since it usually rights itself.

It'd be kind of entertaining to watch, though, for the first couple of minutes. <<

Steering would be nice. Make it a bit easier to hit the zombies, or avoid the zombie hands.

It's great watching really uptight people trying to play. Wish I could've gotten a video of it.

Just ask Jack Thompson; I'm sure he'll find something. Then the rest of the world can make YouTube parodies.

There was one like that I used to play all the times as a kid, only it was a motorcycle that could go all the way around this tube thing. It was freaking awesome.

Let me break into cars and I might change my mind. Afterall, people tell me the car I drive is statistically the most broken-into car in the world, the Honda Civic.

I'll just go grab my katana and jimmy the lock a bit. And now I know the side air bags won't go off and send my tool flying into my face! Thanks Mythbusters!
