Rael nodded, trying to make herself smile and laugh, but it felt like a weight on her emotions at the moment. She listened to her new friend, nodding. "Your family is made up of those who care for you and those you care for. No distance or differences between members changes that."
At the roar of thunder, both Rael and Mela looked up, the girl wincing at the sight of clouds. "We'll need to get you and Rael out of the rain, at least, feathers." She smiled, nuzzling back at him. She felt Rael's disdain at the rain, understanding the girl's problems. If you start feeling the change, you'd better tell me. Mela warned, the fire on her back starting to flame up again.
"I will," Rael assured, forgetting to say it over their bond. "Where's the nearest shelter?" She asked Zephyros, feeling her heartbeat speed up the tiniest bit. No need to panic. Not yet.

Zephyros blinked slowly then shook his head agreeingly lettign out a small laugh. "You're right. Wonder why I didn't think of that!" he let out a nother laugh then frowned as the thunder got rougher. He looked up into the sky, then glanced towards a large tree. Giving Mela a small hug he out stretched his wings. But not before glancing at the two feemales, wondering what Rael meant by the 'I will'
Shaking off his curiosity he looked back towards the sky. "The nearest shelter.. is about a twenty minute pace from here, by flying.. I'm not sure how fast we can get there if you went by walking. My bonded is telling me, though, there should be a large cave around here. It's about a five minute walk if you want to head there instead..?" He frowned You're in the cave aren't you? his bonded responded with a giggle

Weighing five minutes against twenty minutes wasn't much of a choice. "Cave," Rael said, smiling again. Without being in the rain, everything would be okay, she could be happy for a while. "Is your bonded there?" Whoever it was, she hoped they got along. They'd be seeing a lot of eachother.
Mela waited for Zephyros to show them the way, walking up behind Rael and nudging her. The girl looked at Mela's back, watching the embers retreat. Clambering up, she watched the fire behind her start up. Mela'd spent a good long while learning how to not burn her bonded when she rode, which wasn't often. This was just in case.

His eye twitched angrily as his bonded seemed to continue giggling in his head. Ruffling his light blue feathers he nodded his head, agitated, as he begins to slither forward, towards the cave. "Yes... she's there.." Grumbling a bit to himself. "Giggling controllably.."
Taking a big breath he glanced at the girls who were following behind. Especially towards Rael. "I hope you don't mind, my bonded is a big airhead and can't control herself at times. As much as I would like her to be normal, she is definitely not normal at all."

Rael smiled and hugged Melayna, nodding at Zephyros's comment about his bonded. "Not normal people've been all around me since forever. I'm used to it." Aran. She looked towards the darkening sky, hoping to catch a quick glance of white, maybe to hear a fluttering heartbeat across the air. Ever since she could remember, he had been her Prince Charming. Oh sure, he had never agreed to the part, and was quite adamant that she leave him be. But... a girl is allowed her daydreams.
Feeling the fluffiness that felt like a cloud looming near her mind, Melayna smiled. Ah, Rael. So silly at times. She walked to catch up with her Zephyros, careful not to jar the mermaid out of her semi-trance. It was best to leave Rael be in her dreams, which would always remain as they were.
"What's she like, your bonded? Other than strange?" Mela asked, amused.

"Insane. Giggly. Below normal." Zephyros sighed and ruffled his wings agitatedly. He looks over at Melayna while he continues to slither forward, then looks in front of him. "I don't know if you will like her much, she laughs to much. It's really annoying." The winds blew roughly and tiny drops of rain began falling. They were a few feet away from the cave now, or at least, that's what Shu had told Zephyros.
A fog had started rolling in and he can barely see now, though, I guess that's because he had a bit of bad eyesight in this kind of weather. "Very forget full to. I forgot to mention that, so if you meet her after today, don't be offended if she asks who you are..." he looks back at Melayna's bonded than blinks, stares at her for a second then turns back. "Does Rael do that often?"
