The tees ruffled, and the sun shined bright. Zephyros curled around his tree, watched the clouds go by in satisfaction. Today was a good day so far. His bounded was out and hasn't bothered him for a while now, and the 'little' ones finally grew up. He let out a sigh in happiness closing his eyes, and listening to the winds sing it's songs. He wondered where Mela was right now.

Stretched out on the ground, a long water wyrm sighed happily. It was a lazy day, and lazy days were just fine with her. Melayna yawned quietly, keeping her head purged of most thoughts. A much smaller creature stirred beside her, causing one golden brown eyes to open. Her bond was curled up by her side, cradled with one of Mela's arms. Rael was such a pretty little girl, Mela thought with a small smile.
However, it was time to get up. Moving slowly to try and not stir the girl proved futile, a pair of light blue eyes opening up to watch her for a moment. The water wyrm smiled and nuzzled Rael, assuring her that she would not be up for long. Not moments after was she asleep again. Sighing almost inaudibly, Mela moved beneath the trees, listening to the sounds of the world.
Soon thoughts began to cloud her mind, thoughts of being happy. Part of the back of her mind still felt partially guilty about everything that had been caused because of her. Regret was not an easy thing to shake. Without heeding where her limbs took her, Mela was startled out of her thoughts by a sharp pain as her head contacted the trunk of a tree, causing the flames along her back to leap up in surprise. A small patch of light blue fire clung to the bark after she moved away, which she stamped out with an appendage that was used to this by now. Grimacing, she glanced up the trunk to see if she had startled any birds out of their nest. Nothing. Well, almost nothing except an overgrown snake with feathers.
"Zephy?"

He lied there and let out another sigh, continuing to stare at the clouds, they floated above him with no worries. He laughed at himself, the only thing clouds are worried about is if something starts flying at them. Then again clouds aren't alive, so why was he thinking about that? He guessed it was still about Raeburn. Even though he was now living happily, Zephyros just couldn't ignore that notion in the back of his head. He'll have to go and bug hte water wyrm later on just for this.
He ended up falling asleep for a few minutes, the blue wyrm wasn't so use to being filled with piece, there was always some kind of havoc being brought on by someone. This was a great time for him to catch up on some much needed sleep.
All of a sudden a jolt hit his tree and he jerked up blinking confused. What was that? Shaking his head, Zephyros ignored what ever that was until he his name being called out by a very soothing familiar voice. Looking down he saw a blue flamed wyrm.
"Mela, is that you?" He ruffled his wings, unfolding them and floating down next to her.

The sound of his voice made her happy, though at the question she quietly giggled. "No, silly, it's the other water wyrm with fire down her back. Of course it's me!" Beaming as he descended from the tree, Mela restrained the inner urge to tackle and cling to Zephy.
"I've missed you so much! Where've you been?" She inquired, walking close to him and nuzzling merrily.

He smiled great fully it was really Mela. Wrapping his wings around Melayna, he hugged her tightly, or at least tried to. Seeing as the were wings, very delicate ones in fact.
"I've missed you as well Mela. Well, lets just say my bounded had some trouble with the littles ones, and Anemone was becoming a little on the 'I hate this family' side, I think the shadow in her is beginning to act up... but Mela you looks as gorgeous as ever" He grinned happily and nuzzled he head.

At his embrace, Mela wrapped her forearms around his body, hugging him close. Wearily, the mind of her bonded awoke, and began asking questions about the pure sunshine Mela's emotions seemed to be causing to her own thoughts. Embarassed, Mela told Rael where she was, and explained who she was with. The mermaid seemed thrilled at the chance to meet the one who made Mela happy, and reported that she would be there momentarily.
"That's a pity. Shadow wyrms can be so... troublesome sometimes..." Suddeny realizing what she had said, she gave the tiniest gasp before looking up at him. "I mean, I guess everyone can be and it doesn't matter on blood but they do seem to cause the most problems, don't they?"

He let out a small laugh at her comment and placed his head on hers. "It's okay Mela, I know what you meant." His purple eyes stared at her lovingly. Zephyros really missed her, it's been to long since the last time they spoke.
"So is every going alright with your family, Mela?"

A small thrum vibrated in her throat, enjoying the contact. Enjoying the company. "Everything's going as well as can be, I guess. Mom and Dad's eggs finally hatched a while back. My new sister and brother are disasters waiting to happen." She gave a small laugh, ignoring the slight pain in her limbs from being in an unusual position for this long.

"Wow that must be a pain. I wish you all my luck with the little ones. I hope they won't be that much of a torment." He reminisced to when his 'siblings' giving a small shudder, he nuzzled Mela.

"They're not too much fo a torment to Rael and I, but to eachother? They've been fighting since they were in their eggs." Mela laughed softly, nuzzling Zephy back.
"How come featherhead doesn't catch on fire?" A rather young girl tilted her head to the side ever so slightly, trying to figure out the weird puzzle presented by her wyrm and the one she was hugging. Ewww. "Melayna's got a boooyfriiiend."
The girl was only probably around fourteen years old, if that. She leaned against a tree to try and keep her balance, unused to walking on land yet. She, by far, preferred the water. "I'm Rael! You must beeeee... Zephyros. Y'don't have the glowy marks so y'can't be Raeburn, right?"

Zephyros chuckled at this, moving his head to softly lick her cheek, he then pulled away slightly and flushed at the girls comment. Or at least something close to blushing. His eye twitching a bit at Raeburn's name. Huffing he ruffled his feathers and stared at Rael. "Nice, ...to meet you..? And no, I'm not the seaslug."
Although he and Raeburn made a pact that they would stop fighting he still gets a bit edgy around the water wyrm. Thus, the why they still tend to call each other 'harmles' little names.

Mela giggled quietly at her bonded and Zephy, stretching her tail, grinning.
"Nice to meet you too!" Rael laughed, ignoring the seaslug comment. Making him irritated could be fun.
Rael, don't. Mela warned silently, making Rael pull out a pouty face.
Not even a little?
No.
Fiine. Rael crossed her arms and sulked against the tree, eyes lighting up while a tiny smile darted onto her face.

He grumbled to himself again, ruffling his wings once more before watching the two. They seemed to be talking to each other, but it's impolite to ask so he just shrugged it off. As the wind blew softly Zephyros stared off thinking for something to say, what else could there be to add without making a complete -fool- of himself..?
As another wind blew he opened his mouth to speak, ignoring the little comments from his own bonded who seemed to be close by and watching... "If you don't mind me asking, Rael, where do you come from..?"

At the question, Rael's face lost its smile, a wondering look passing over. "I'm from a colony from the ocean. It's so pretty there. The light that manages to make it down gets caught in the mirrors and lights the entire colony up. My family's all still down there. I have a mom, a dad, and a twin sister." She smiled again, remembering her loved ones she had left behind to be with Mela. Aase's image, an exact replica of her own, floated in her mind. Aase had been the hardest. "I've been home a few times since I came to Mela," she whispered. The trips home had been harder than leaving. The trips home made her miss everything she'd used to have.
Mela felt the wind carressing her, and watched Rael. The sunny bubbly feeling had faded. She almost wished she wasn't a river wyrm. Being in the sea just didn't feel natural. Mela had never met anyone in Mela's family other than Aase; she couldn't stand being in the ocean. Leaning her head against Zephyros, she sent a calming feeling towards Rael.
Encouraged slightly, the little mermaid glanced up at Zephyros. "I-I'm sorry. What about you?" Had she been without the support of her closest friend, Rael would have cried. She just wasn't used to this lifestyle yet, she told herself, attempting to be stronger. She shivered in the wind, rubbing her arms with her hands.

Zephyros watched Rael trying to imagine what kidn of lifestyle she had lived in, ruffling his wings a bit he nuzzled Mela's head slightly as he murmurs with a soft voice. " Must have been hard to leave them.." He glanced down towards the ground, his body shifting as he continues listening then looks back up at Rael with a somewhat confused look on his face.
"Well.. I don't know where I came from.. and sometimes I feel.. as though I'm not supposed to know. I do.. have a caring 'family' though. I have a younger 'sister' who I care for a lot and... I suppose, even if I don't like her much, my bonded acts like a mother for me. So.. I'm not complaining at all."The wind wyrm shakes off the slight confused feeling he had and blinks a she notices Rael shivering, looking down at Mela. "Should we go somewhere warmer..?"
The wind seemed to be getting more rougher and the sun was slowly being covered with dark clouds. thunder could be heard from a distance. Zephyros twitches his tail at this and looks up. "Or shelter from the incoming rain.."
