Rhapsody stepped through the doorway into a series of corridors, and began walking through the labyrinth like area on her way to the control room. "What is with these people and mazes. Can't there ever just be a straight route from the entrance to the place you want to go?" she grumbled.

"Um...thanks?" Soul turns into her natural form and floats through air ducts untill she finds Blade. She jumps down onto the floor and faces him. "I want to do something useful for once." Back in her elf form she has a cute determination on her face.

Her voice drifts into Azure's head, but it is almost staticy because of the distance. Her voice slowly fades out.

2 days past as Azure, Soul and Blade worked to override all security commands, and ready the Belcrant to fire. Blade never let on to Soul the true events about to unfold, but she understood that she needed to help.
In the meantime, Cruel Ruin made her way into the command room, as Blade discussed secretly with her about the events unfolding, she volunteered her service to prepare the weapon.
Only one day left, and the city in the sky loomed ever close to Evanescent Moutain.

"Azure," Blade said turning around to face the Etherean. "I am now preparing the the Emraldsphere platform for the control center of Belcrant. You are the only one who can operate it now with ease. We are less than 24 hours away. Get some sleep, you'll need it."

Azure nodded. He gazed about the room at the colleagues with him. Ancient evils up here and down there, a world on the brink of destruction at the hands of tangible and intangible forces. "I shall," he said.... He closed down the crystal console before him, and took two steps before turning back to look at them again, then walked towards the sleeping chambers.

Rhapsody watched as Azure left the room. Her cold eyes followed him until he was gone, before turning back to Blade. "I can't isolate some of the elemental synthesis variables required for firing. The balancing frequencies aren't cooperating. I don't understand Aetherean technology or Etherean elemental qualities, much less an integration of the two." She lifted one of her brows and leaned on one hip, her more casual work clothes covered in dust from reworking some of the more physical elements of the broken system.

Blade too watched as Azure left, and nodded as he listened halfway to what the demoness was saying. He turned to face her. "The arranging elemental qualities are focused by the blade itself, where each property is lined up, then discharged in a precise series. The core crystal which powers it is completely unstable, a property of LENS crystals which the Aethereans coould only compensate for externally. All you need to do is line up the elemental variables in a light order sequence within the blade. You'll know the right one when it blends harmonically with the shield generator." He nodded, then lost that train of thought to something else, somewhere else.

"You'd think I'd know crap like that," she muttered turning around, then opened up the frequency balancer of the Belcrant blade, and began working through the difficult process of physical, magical, and elemental rearrangement to a direct energy output.

Soul lies on the ground of the control room keeping one eye on Cruel Ruin. She needed no sleep just peace. She watched Blade as though in a dream and begins to wonder what she gotten herself into. Then she realizes she wants to prove herself. She has always been a burden since that terrible day when the world shifted out of line with the cosmos leading to her death. She sits up as stife as a pike. "Blade I'm not a bother to you am I? You seem reluctant to have me here. You hide something." She stares him down like a hawk eyes its prey.

Blade looked at her and smiled. "You are not a bother my dear. You've been useful. And I worry not of you, but of this whole world. Maybe it's better you know quite know what's happening. Forgive me." Blade went back to his work at the station, his immortal body actually growing weary after 10 days without sleep.
The city lingered not far from the tip, the time was near.

"The time is now!" Blade yelles as he turned around to face the operators in the room. "Azure, up onto the platform, I'm shutting down the Emraldsphere project." He did so. The projector faded out as Blade opened up the energy-control link, readying it for Azure to gain direct control over all sytems.

Azure nodded, and took a deep breath. A long moment passed as he recalled the world before. What would come of all this? Where would it end?
