"There are few in the world that possess the unique characteristics that he does," Ashura's tone was still relaxed. As the stallion relaxed and spoke with her in a somewhat conversational manner she did the same. While he seemed a little peculiar she was learning never to judge of looks alone. He was polite, she would be too until it was necessary to do otherwise - if she needed to fight then she would, somehow she doubted it though.
"Glowing amber eyes are perhaps the only thing that relate to me," She blinked her own amber eyes. While her eyes didn't glow with any intensity they were sharp and clear. It was a sign of good breeding, her parents had been matched well even if it hadn't been out of love initially. Mutual understanding, respect...but not love.
"Yet within his chest a teal light radiates, fierce and with a life of its own." She remembered that from one elder in particular, she had claimed that the devil himself resided in this light and Ashura would be a fool to chase it. A fool to give in to the temptation and the eerie call the light gave to all those who looked into it.
Ashura claimed it was utter nonsense!
It was a light, just like a star.
"And he's black...I'm sure with that description alone I can find him - don't you think?" She asked, her mild smile lifting her expression a little more.

"Well." He said, and then stopped.
He was sure, that if she even just knew that much, she could find what she was looking for. But he feared if he told her that, it wouldnt be honest, as he wasnt sure she had alot to go on.
But he finally decided to settle herself, and him for that matter.
"Well, thats more than I even had to go on a few minutes ago." He smiled.
"I believe, that you have enough information to get somewhere."
He said, giving a sharp nod of his head.

"But you don't know anything," She stated gently, offering a slight smile as he uttered the words. The fact that he had confirmed her belief made her feel a little better. So, despite her words being vague they were so unique that they may point her towards something that might look similar to her brother. Then again...everything was based on perception and if a soquili sighted another similar to him then she might be landed in a spot of bother.
...Especially if he was as cruel as they said.
There was just one thing bothering her.
"What are Skinwalkers?" She enquired at last, curious to the word. She had heard of many things and had heard many stories but she had never encountered anything that was referred to as a 'Skinwalker'. Even the name made her raise a brow, it sounded almost like the creature ripped the skin off another and wore it.
...Not particularly comforting.

What had his father said once about skinwalkers. He instantly went into remember mode and then looked back at the mare.
"They tend to be truly evil, almost like Kalona. Only, the difference, Kalona are able to love. Skinwalkers, are not capable of such feelings. They have no feeling. They can turn into coyote, or some even cat, by night, and are spotted by the pelt they wear over their heads and backs."
He was sure thats what his father had said, or at least close to such. He couldnt have been too far off. But honestly, Jean had never actually met a skinwalker. He had, more or less, heard of stories.
But Ashura was hearing of stories of her brother, and still accepting herself being able to find him. So stories, no matter how drastic, still must hold some symblence of truth.

Ashura whistled through her teeth.
The way Jean had described a Skinwalker really didn't make them sound very desirable. In truth, they rather frightened her. A creature complete void of emotion showed indifference to everything - whether they be of the same species or not. That would mean they had no consideration for what was right and would not listen to reason - if they were up in those mountains she was going to have to be very careful.
"Well, they don't sound very nice do they?" She enquired in a light tone, offering a wry smile as she turned her gaze up towards the slopes that seemed to pose more of a threat to her than ever before. "I don't suppose there are any rituals that can scare them away are there?" She continued. Maybe they were like vampires where you could wrap garlic around your neck!
Unlikely, but it was worth a shot.

He smiled and shook his head.
"No ma'am. Unfortunately. But, in all seriousness.. They tend to rather leave things alone, as long as they arent being pursued. Just dont chase one, and watch whom you talk to.. s strangers are dangerous.. And you should be okay."
Fortunately, he didnt know what she was thinking whilest she asked, because he could prove that vampires could survive garlic.. From personal experience.

Strangers were dangerous?
Everyone was a stranger until you introduced yourself to them so if she took his words literally then everyone in the world would be dangerous. In a way, this made her smile. She was sure he hadn't intended it to be meant in that way and he was referring to that specific type of soquili.
"But technically I would have to talk to those who live up there to find out if they knew anything," She pointed out gently, her mind logically considering each of the problems placed before her. She could see his point when he advised her to be careful but she also had to take chances for the things she cared for most.
"Are you sure there aren't any other ways to hold them off? Like little charms so I can speak to them but...not be killed?"

He raised a darkened eyebrow and grinned. He didnt believe in such charms to begin with, so the mare asking him for ways to hold them off amused him greatly. He really, wasnt sure what to say. He hadnt really ever, well.. Talked about Skinwalkers much.
"Um.. Well... I really doubt there are any of those in exisitence. But you do, have a point. You must talk to some to find your brother.. But then, remember what I said, dont talk to the ones with wolf pelts on their backs."
He smiled. He'd offer to come along, but he felt sure his presence would be more unnerving then sociable.

"Wolf pelts on their backs..." Ashura repeated, shaking her head as though the concept greatly amused her. Wolf pelts were very fluffy, so that must mean those who wore them would be exceptionally warm. Perhaps this increased discomfort made them even more agitated and their pride refused to let them admit it. Okay, so it was a terribly childish concept but it made her grin even if it was incorrect.
"Right, so I avoid the ones with wolf pelts on their backs," She said again as if to memorise the information before giving a nod. "Any other pieces of advice you could give me?" She asked after a few moments, well aware that she'd never really been on a mountain trek before and all too aware that her flighty guide wasn't about.
Sure, Sparks would probably direct her if she asked but she wanted to be independent!
