Elijah let his hand fall away from her ear, but made sure to frown and show her he didn't want to at all. He couldn't help, but listen in on what she was saying, with her being right there with him and all. He laughed softly after she "hung up" on this Myr she had been talking to even if there were some things in the conversation he couldn't hear and some things he had no idea what they could possibly be about. "So as long Trel trusts me I can spend more time with you...?" This news made Elijah grin. Now Relm wouldn't have to go home just yet, right?

"So, does this mean I can pet your ears again...? The little phone you got in there is off right...?" He laughed and reached up and hand to cup her cheek with. "Maybe do a certain something else even...?" He lean his face in a bit closer to her face.

He was too darn cute! Did he know how hard it was to be normal talking to the man-hating GaiaCom when she wanted so bad to kiss that frown of his away? It was a good thing Relm was used to acting! Even so... it was tough. When Elijah's laugh came after the communication was shut off her heart lifted and fluttered happily. His grin fair took her breath away. And why is that, Artist...? Relm ignored the inner voice. She had come to accept enough already.

"Pretty much..." She said, dragging the words out while her lips twitched impishly and her eyes twinkled. Relm started to make a face, bordering on a cross between 'you wouldn't dare' and 'please do' at the question about her ears. That expression stilled and shifted into something much softer as Relm felt his hand on her cheek and leaned gently into the touch with a soft sigh. Her breath hitched and her eyelids seemed to become suddenly heavy, threatening to close. Relm kept her eyes some how on Elijah's however. A bit of her mischievous smile quirked her lips as she inched towards Elijah to meet him halfway. "hmmm.... maybe..."

Relm lightly touched her lips to his as she murmured the word against them. It was difficult not to kiss him straight out, but this... this anticipation was thrilling in its own way too. Relm tried to tilt her head cutely as her eyes twinkled at Elijah's. "Can you?"

Oh yes. Very teasing.

Hopefully Elijah would see her granted permission in all of that.

"Course," Elijah said with that grin still on his face. His heart felt like it would melt as he stared into her eyes. He really loved her eyes; there was just something about them... There was something about all of her that drew him to her actually. He leaned up more to put a gentle kiss on her jaw. His other hand reached up to brush against her ear. "Maybe the real question is if you want me to or not...," He moved his lips to hover over hers. Playing hard to get was she? That was a game he liked. Oh yes, he could play that game too. His hand on her ear began to slowly stroke it and with the hand on her cheek he brought her lips closer to his so now they were ghosting above his, with almost no distance apart. He paused for a moment and watched her for a moment before closing the distance finally. Yet another blissful kiss. Each one was wonderful and spent his head spinning.

Her eyes rolled back slightly as Relm sighed with the warm feeling that filled her when his hand touched her ear. She had never before realized... just how sensitive her ears were. Very slightly she shivered as Elijah stayed just short of kissing, her ear turning into the strokes upon it and shifting with tiny vibrations for more. She made a sound, trying to say something -something smart about how he should guess how much she wanted him to, or even to tell him herself- but the words never came as they caught softly in her throat. Her eyes shimmered, her face losing its aura of mischievousness in favor of an un-acted and completely natural, heartfelt response: romantic hope and anticipation.

'Lijah... With a sigh Relm melted into the kiss, her long tail swaying to brush over their legs.

It was a good thing they were already laying down.

'Lijah... is it normal... to want to keep kissing you like this?

There, that indescribable sensation was happening again. He was losing himself in the kiss and in her. This feeling was one he couldn’t get enough of. Elijah began to get even more so into the kiss, putting a bit more passion into it. His lips pressed a little bit harder on her own lips. Did she have any idea how crazy he was for her? He had to wonder. He wanted her to know, he wanted to show her just how he felt about her. The hand he had currently placed down on her cheek brushed against it and slowly wandered down to her lower back. The other hand he kept with her ear since Relm seemed to be pleased with it which made him quite happy himself. There really was no contest here. These kisses with Relm were the best he ever had...

If one thing could be said for Relm, it was that once she decided something she went at it with everything in her. So it was with liking Elijah and with kissing him. Her novice kisses with their odd hints of knowing more than having experienced held nothing back now of her feelings even though this was the first night. The first night of confessing her feelings to herself much less to Elijah. The first night of kissing him.

The pictomancer sighed into his kiss, into his touch. She felt so much and... and from the way Elijah was kissing her -wow- he was too. He had said that he had been wanting this for a while now, but it was still so much to soak up. To realize. To comprehend. And yet... Relm wanted to try. Try now -succeed eventually. Reluctantly she slowed and broke the kiss to breathe softly upon his lips. Not because she was out of breath, but to try to give some moments of time to calm the rapid beating of her heart. Her chuckle breathed lightly from her mouth, vibrating her small body as Relm hugged him close. "I think... I could do this all night and never want to stop."

Elijah watched the other after she broke the kiss. He smiled gently as he got lost in thought for a short bit. How did he get so lucky to have all this happen to him tonight? Everything about her made his heart race... His breathing began to slow down a bit as he caught his breath. "Yeah, me too. That'd sure be nice..." He returned the embrace and enjoyed the warmth he got from having her there so close to him. It'd be awfully nice to fall asleep like this too. "I think that Myr friend of yours would be kind of mad if we tried that though..." He laughed. It'd probably be pretty irresponsible to sleep outside too. So many annoying little details...

The small young woman chuckled, snuggling closer as she enjoyed Elijah's closeness and warmth. She was not usually all that big on hugs, and normally only hug-close with Interceptor or some of the other more animal members of their household. Usually the ones that could not talk. Now she wanted to be huggably close with Elijah. "Myr wouldn't be keen on it any night -she has a low opinion of the male persuasion." That was a nice way of putting it. "But even Trel won't be keen on me staying with you all night. The first night."

Her knowing made the disappointment easier even as Relm's tone conveyed the depth that saddened her. At the same time there was hope and joy at what coming days could bring. "They just won't send the rescue teams out for me." Relm teased, a smile on her lips as she touched her nose to his and rubbed it back and forth in a little 'kiss' while her eyes twinkled looking into his. "Not for a few more hours anyway." A small wink then with a happy sigh Relm put her cheek to his and nuzzled Elijah happily. "They know I'm safe."

Elijah wondered about this Myr person a little. By the sounds of it she seemed a bit too protective and wondered if she was like that with anyone else but Relm. Well, that didn't seem to really be his problem so it didn't matter. However, he could see her point. Spending the first night together wasn't the proper thing to do, even if they had been hanging out for quite a while. This was the first day of their new relationship and all. It wasn't like they were dating before. Again, it was irresponsible, especially on his part, if they attempted a stupid stunt like that. Yet, the fact that he'd have to let her go tonight was a painful thought. They still had time though. That he was very thankful for.

He smiled at the nose rubbing. She was just so cute. He returned the nuzzling and closed his eyes. "Mm... Glad they know. I'll protect you from anything that might try something..." It was true. He wanted to be there for her, to protect her. He wanted to be someone she could count on, always.

Relm giggled, then winked. He was too adorable! And that... that was why Trel knew she was safe: Elijah was not even thinking at that moment the way in which the matriarch and even the disciplinarian GaiaCom were thinking of how Relm was safe with him. She had to include him in her little mirth. "Not that kind of safe, 'Lijah..." Green eyes sparkled as she snuggled closer, kissing his chin lightly. How soon it was easy to be lovingly affectionate for her. It amused the little former adventurer who often made fun of such loverly couples before. She was teasing him a little... but at the same time feeling her heart flutter and her body happily shiver that Elijah would protect her. She had the magic, the battle experience. But... just the promise of his protection... it had her feeling wonderfully cared for. And protected.

"They trust you... with me. As I do." After the whisper against his lips she kissed him sweetly, letting the musician think of that. Trying to show through her kiss just how much she did count on him and how much she wanted him to be there for her -and her for him.

Elijah raised an eyebrow. Not that kind of safe? It took him a second to realize exactly what she met. Oh yeah! Yeah... Like what that Myr lady was probably worried about. His cheeks reddened a bit. Well, yes, she could count on him to not do anything she didn't want him to do and let things like the certain activities happen when they were both ready and wanted them to happen. Rushing into things was not the way he wanted to go with this relationship.

He returned her kiss and knew exactly what her words' meaning was. The feeling was mutual. Even if she could defend herself with magic and all, he would be there for her and he knew she would do the same. Magic or not she was still Relm after all.

Able to defend herself with magic or not... Relm needed protection. The mage's -especially the pictomancer's- weakness = how easily she could be felled. Her delicate, petite body was weak -easy pray to a physical blow. Though at the moment it was not a blow but another physical assault that rendered Relm unable to stand and feeling lightheaded. Both cause and effect things she was already cherishing.

Softly she slowed then stopped the kiss, determined to find her thoughts once more. Relm tucked her head into Elijah's cheek. Thoughts were important. She wanted to remember this night -not only the overflow of sensory feelings. To do that... Relm felt she had to take pause.

It was probably a good idea so she did not go overboard as well. How could she have guessed how addictive Elijah's kisses would be to her? Without a word -odd for the mouthy artist-mage- Relm nuzzled the dog anthro's cheek beside her as her breath calmed at least a fraction. She could hear the rapid race of her pulse and it amazed and amused her. Never in battle had her heart raced so but here... quite still and in no danger whatsoever it ran marathons. crazy.

The corners of Elijah's mouth twitched as he noticed he could feel her heart beat while he was holding her like this. He opened his eyes for a moment so he could look at her. His heart was racing as fast as hers was. If someone had told him earlier on today that all of this was going to happen to him now, he wouldn't have believed it, but he was sure glad it did. This was probably the best he had ever felt. His eyes shut again slowly and his cheek nuzzled hers back. Even with his heart beating so hard, he felt so comfortable and peaceful just by holding her like he was. He would definitely be wanting to do this again later on...

Relm simply lay there, basking in the feel of his arms and the overwhelming and exciting peace that was being with Elijah like this as she listened to the slowing yet still rapid pace of their heartbeats echoing where her large mint-green carbunkle ear pressed against the dog-anthro's chest. It seemed long moments and yet not long at all at the same time before she opened her mouth in a resigned sigh that was almost a laugh. A laugh at herself? "Guess I might as well give in and put your painting over my bed." The pictomancer said wryly, her lips curled in a smile as she chuckled and lightly shook her head at herself where she pressed against her taller and very dear friend. Her intelligent eyes twinkled just before Relm lightly closed them in her now double inner joke. Elijah... had never been to her house. He did not know much of her family... and no specifics of her 'other Relm sisters' as they called each other. He would not know the significance in any form of what she spoke... and though Relm wanted him to know she did not want to tell him. What fun would that be? Her lips quirked a little more as the petite artist snuggled closer. Hopefully... Elijah would be curious enough to ask. There was only so much Relm would offer freely.

Elijah's eyes snapped open at the mention of a picture of HIM over her bed. "Sooo... You've thought about putting my picture of your bed before?" He said, a bit teasingly with his eyebrow raised slightly and a grin. Well, the way she said it he could assume this wasn't a thought she had just now. His cheeks tinted red. It was flattering and it did make him happy to hear something that once again proved just how much she liked him, even if she didn't ACTUALLY mean the whole picture thing. Now what would the other people in her home say if they saw this... Ah, he was kind of wondering about these people in general.... "Hm... You have quite a few people living under the same roof with you don't you? I'm kinda wondering what they're all like..." He did keep hearing about certain people from her. Like there was Trel and Myr who seemed different from one another. Maybe more of them had magic too, like Relm...
