The teasing in his voice had her opening her eyes again and looking up -making Relm very glad she did. That expression.... made Elijah look cuter than ever. Especially has his cheeks reddened beyond what could be blamed on her forehead ruby's light. Playfully Relm lifted her brows innocently as if to say 'wouldn't you like to know' but for the moment did not answer him -drawing it out. She was curious what else Elijah might say.

One brow lifted a bit higher at what he did say. Had he gone there from her comment? She knew she liked about Elijah that he could think, but sh had not expected he would make such an oblique connection. It was pleasing, however his thoughts had turned to get there. "People, creatures..." The pictomancer chuckled softly, snuggling into his larger body and slightly wiggling more beneath his jacket as if she was cold. Which she was not -Relm just wanted to be closer and that was a fun and easy solution. "To describe what they're ALL like could take some time. Takes most some time to adjust to how we live as-is much less who and what everyone is."

She paused a moment to let that sink in. Even if she was reiterating herself it merited repeating. She liked him too much not to give him ample warning and even preparation for how she lived if possible. Intently the artist watched Elijah's face. "It's easy to get overwhelmed... but maybe it would be easier in doses." Would he react to that? Figure out what she was suggesting before she actually asked him? Never before had she been inclined to bring someone home. Not quite true -Relm had been wanting to invite Elijah for some time. But... the combination of inviting him to her house and the millions of 'promotional' paintings she had of him where not ammunition she had wanted to arm her 'sisters' or others with. They would pick on Elijah too -and THAT was even more to be avoided.

When they were only friends. When she was afraid their ribbing would somehow frighten her friend away or turn him off her assuming she wanted something he did not. Or otherwise strain or ruin their friendship.

Which was not the case now.

"You could meet a few, when you come over to see which picture I hang." Her nose crinkled cutely beneath precocious, twinkling eyes. "And yes." Her shrug was faux indifference. "There are a few paintings I like well enough to consider that position. Didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea though. Including myself." Relm stuck her tongue out childishly.

Elijah understood what she was getting at even more she had stated the last bit. He was hoping for an invitation since he had been getting curious, about the people and the paintings that lived under her home’s roof. "Sure. Probably would be easier just to see for myself like you said." He ran his hand through her hair while his other arm was wrapped comfortably around her waist. Overwhelmed? Now how would he get overwhelmed? Then again, he'd never really invited Relm over for similar reasons. So many of his housemates would make assumptions. A few that had noticed that he'd been going out with the same person to concerts often already had poked fun at him. If Relm had gone over to his house the teasing would surely get even more annoying. Well, now the assumptions were a bit true so...

"Well, it's sure not a wrong idea anymore. Won't be able to fool yourself anymore, especially with me around," Elijah said while he leaned his head into her neck to give it a short kiss.

He grinned as he pulled his head away. No matter how overwhelming the people in her home maybe, he was pretty sure it would be worth it. That also reminded him of something.

"You can come over to my place sometime if you want to. I mean, it's not that great or anything. Some of my housemates might be a little... annoying." His expression fell a bit as he thought of one in particular, a certain cat. For some reason he really didn't get along with many cats.

Espers...! Relm thought as her eyes nearly rolled back in her head with just how good if felt with Elijah's arm around her waist and his other hand moving through her hair. But she could not because if she did how could she watch his reactions?

Her snappy comeback about fooling herself died with a gurgle in her throat as her neck started to arch slightly to even that small kiss, becoming only a small, slightly panted "'Lijah...!" Precocious, 'smart' comments were blown away by her heart and body's quick affirmation of Elijah's words. Damn straight she would not be able to fool herself anymore!! But Espers...! He did not have to give physical proof like that!

Espers... and it was just a little kiss! What if he had lingered? Relm shivered at the thought in the warm embrace of the dog-anthro's arms, glazed eyes trying to glare at him for derailing her rebuttal so and yet unable to put any real anger or even much 'acted' beyond the attempt as the sight of his curved lips tugged at the corners of her own. Blast the male.

Still... two could play at this game. But maybe... maybe for once she should NOT dare and wait for another night. Espers but Elijah tempted her so to play now! The faake glare fell from her eyes into the pull and glitter of challenge then into the slight pout of setting the challenge away. Relm knew where starting such a game could lead. Better to get used to this first. She was just accepting this... and knowing she was not at all ready for where that game could lead did not want to torture this male she cared for so deeply with what it could bring out. Of course some things could not be controlled, but that was no reason to knowingly make things worse.

Relm sighed softly as she stored the challenge away, fingers lightly and gently moving through his soft brown hair and as casually as she could manage stroking his ears. Her green eyes softened on the slight fall of the grin from his lips and eyes before she giggled, tucking her head a little as her eyes lidded halfway while she nuzzled her cheek to his. "Ha! Bring it on. I can take a little 'annoying' any day." Her alto voice vibrated with the laughter and joy in her. "I'll even let you decide how much I dish back."

Her 'sisters' and in fact their entire household that had the sense to know anything would have gasped at such an offer from a Relm. It was literally handing him her reigns as it were -putting herself in his control. Voluntarily. Being the 'voice of the prince' was a different kind of choice to act out -there were rules to be played in that 'game' of very high stakes. This was different, giving a chance of much mischief to another's control. At least letting him place the boundaries and limits. In its own way more telling than a picture over he bed in the place of honor.

The carbunkle exhaled softly, barely resisting more than the briefest and lightest of kisses where her lips touched Elijah's head as her tail wrapped around them a little more than a blanket now. It was so easy... in Elijah's arms. Far too easy... to want to stay like this.

"Soooooo...." Relm drawled out softly near his skin. "How should we decide which to brave first?" It was better than asking 'my place or yours?' at any rate. Though she was tempted. The too knowledgeable 'innocent' knew -especially now- that she needed some 'Elijah cool-down time' whether she wanted it or not. Otherwise she was afraid she would never want to let him go and how then would he make his music? Besides... she did not want to be one of those overly clingy girls. This... this was for when it was just the two of them. She would have to learn how to control her reactions to him while they were out at concerts or otherwise with others. It would not do at all to have him incapacitate her thinking and reactions like he clearly could do in public! What if she needed her wits about her?

Suddenly Relm was really, fully realizing how very dangerous this could be.

Snuggling into the musician's tall body Relm let her eyes close. It was worth the risk. All of it.

His head leaned in her touch and his hand continued to move through Relm's hair. His ears were being touched in just the right way made him feel relaxed and with Relm being the one doing it, it was all the better. The dog was in complete bliss. His eye lids came down over his eyes midway and there was a glazed look over them. Her fake attempted glare didn't fool him. She enjoyed it as much as he did. However, he knew he couldn't take it as far as his urges would probably want to go right now though so he'd have to not tempt the other too much. Teasing was so much fun though. It was getting harder to resist.

He chuckled at her words. His annoying housemates would like her, he was almost certain about that. The only thing he'd worry about was the inevitable teasing comments that would come from some of them. "Alright. Heh. I'm warning you though. Some of them get too excited over stuff like this..." Dish out? He thought that over for a moment. "I just want you to be yourself, so you can dish out however much you want. They can take it, especially if they're dishing it out first in the first place. They'd probably enjoy it."

Deciding what to brave first, that statement sent a small shiver down his spine, especially with how she happened to say it right by his skin like that. Oh the choices, the choices. "Hmm... Well, now..." Elijah didn't really know how to decide that. He had a feeling her place would probably be a bit more interesting to see than his own, but he would get to see it eventually either way. " I want to see these new paintings, but I'm good as long as I get time with you so..." Now how were they going to decide…?

She had not been testing Elijah with her wording but if she had that would have been the right answer. Relm's heart back-flipped in her chest -lifting so much the small young woman nearly thought she would burst with a happiness she could not even begin to describe much less put limits or boundaries on. He wanted her to be herself. Even given the chance to choose her act that was what he chose. Words simply could not cover the feeling that washed over her in that moment.

She would so kiss him for it later. Soon.

Continuing to stroke Elijah's soft ears while nuzzling his cheek one of her own mint green ears flicked interestingly as she smiled. It gave the artist more than a little thrill that her favorite 'model' as it were wanted to see more of her art, while making the brave former-adventurer oddly nervous and excited at the same time. Simultaneously.... her keen perception and years of poking her nose where it did not belong had Relm concluding that her friend (best to still call him that to keep her from doing something even more foolish. Besides... they were still friends) was not going to decide. Well... that was not a problem for the quick-deciding pictomancer. It had been a courtesy that she had asked to begin with -a chance stemming from the depth of feeling and respect she had for Elijah and his opinions, feelings, & preferences. Since he was not taking her offer to decide or turn the conversation into a clear discussion she would set it. This time... influenced by the response Elijah did give: he wanted to see the paintings and he wanted to spend time with her. The later had Relm feeling pleasantly warm inside and laughing she trailed cheek then lips along his cheek and jaw. Green impish, intelligent eyes opened -still showing the effects of 'glazing'- twinkling up at his. "Then we'll go to my place first. That's 'traditional' right?" The girl teased, shivering as her lips trembled lightly brushing his. "Be good to get the first wave started. Just don't be surprised.... if everyone already knows who you are..." Her alto voice trailed off, brushing lips settling onto his as those brilliant eyes of hers drifted shut once more. Her breathing was heightening with soft pants of eagerness making her lips move alluringly as they pressed Elijah's. Small, graceful artist's hands gently gripped his soft canine ears while still petting them -holding their heads together with gentle force. Thanking... thanking him for everything. And showing... a vast, deep, and growing well of feeling.

"Mmhm..." Elijah didn't get much of a chance to say anything before their lips met. His eyes closed completely shut as he let himself sink into this wonderful feeling. How did she know exactly the right way to touch his ears? He responded to the kiss and pressed his back to hers eagerly. His hand stopped moving down the back of her head just to simply sit there as he enjoyed the kiss he had been yearning for.

Elijah really didn't get the chance to say it, but he didn't mind if the others in Relm's house knew his name and already knew him in a way. It would be easier with introductions maybe and it meant that she probably told many people about him already. Plus, he was going to be able to see those new pictures he had heard about. Relm was amazing at painting. He'd love to see more of her work, not just the portraits too. He had hoped to go to her house first, but hadn't really of mind it since the first priority on his mind was just being with Relm. And it was traditional... That was probably for the best too.

The rational, planning part of her mind whispered softly that she should at least consider more earnestly the notion of a respite in closeness soon for the night. But her heart... her emotions... so long held in check or simply not touched cried out for Elijah and had the pictomancer clinging, reluctant to let go. Softly she moved her lips against his, to savor both taste and feel. Her thumbs caressed the inner lining of soft furry ears as her fingers moved to dance lightly on their backs with ghosting caresses. She had to at least slow down... but what remained of her analytical mind was permitting this light retainer of touch so that Relm did no lose herself to feeling completely.

"Elijah..." His name breathed upon his lips from hers, barely a whisper and more full of caring than Relm knew she had ever expressed to anyone before. It was... more than a little frightening and wonderful all at once and the petite girl shivered slightly. I could keep kissing him forever. That too was both frightening and wonderful.

All her words... all her schemes... all her plans... and Relm could not think of what she should or even wanted to say now. So she remained clinging gently to the dog-anthro, her mint green tail wrapping around him and holding them together, her lips brushing and breathing across his lips & tasting his breath between and upon hers. Her lashes fluttered upon her cheeks but Relm did not open her eyes. She wanted this moment: this beautiful, blissful moment. Beyond explanation or words.

Words could come later, and not do it justice. The artist mage was not even sure she could do the moment, the feelings, justice with paint. Some things...Relm was just glimpsing... some things were merely too much to be expressed in ways to share with any other than the one who inspired them. Whispering her lips on Elijah's she cuddled closer.

oh what he had done to her.

Hearing his name said like that sent a delightful shiver down Elijah's spine. Just hearing that made his head spin. With the caressing and the feel of her lips too, everything was beyond perfect. Did she have any idea how good she made him feel? He hoped she did and he hoped that he made her feel the same. He wanted this to last too, forever. "Relm..." He opened his eyes half way and stared into hers as if mesmerized by them. This was a memory he wanted to keep with him always, a picture. He wanted to take every last detail here and be able to cherish it later. Never had he felt so much bliss. Relm looked so... so beautiful.

He didn't want to think about the fact that he'd have to bring her home eventually and he'd have to part ways with her, even if it wouldn't even be that long till they saw each other again. So he just had to hope that this moment right now would last. He leaned his head in to once more close what little gap was in between their lips and gave her a gentle kiss.

At the sound of her name on his voice Relm's eyes fluttered open to be captured in green. Her breath caught gently, the young artist still coming to terms with seeing Elijah's face so close to her own. Being so close to another's face without being 'in their face' was so strange and new...

For one moment Relm thought he was going to say something. Or that she was, though no words -for once- were at the moment coming to mind. Then she was moving -tilting her head and lightly parting her lips to meet his kiss with a soft shuddering exhale as her eyes slipped shut. Fingers slid from the dog anthro's ears to trace his face then back up again as she melted against him.

So much for trying to take a breather so her analytical mind had a chance to jump-start. Thought was a forgotten memory in a mist-filled dream as Relm losst herself in feeling.

Elijah could of done this all night if he let himself. He knew deep down that he probably could. However, he did not want to possibly mess tonight up with worrying Relm's roommates and losing their trust.

Sadly, this realization dawned on the anthro dog as he kissed Relm. He let their lips stay entact a little longer, not wanting to let go of this wonderful occuring moment. However, he'd have to be the responsible one here. Elijah relucantly pulled away from Relm. "I'd love to continue but... Uhm... It's getting late, right?" He smiled weakly. He didn't want to see her go but... Well he'd see her again soon. For sure.
