"Sure Im just gonna kick back in the jeep and work on a tan if the damn zombies stay away long enough what female survivor cant resist this?"He said flexing.Now that was a joke he knew the chances of anymore survivors were slim but they had to keep trying to find them.

"Sure Im just gonna kick back in the jeep and work on a tan if the damn zombies stay away long enough what female survivor cant resist this?" she heard Shane say. Rayde looked at him with an "Are you serious?" face and turned back to keep driveing. SHe was looking for a place to stop for a while her legs were killing her, it wouldn't be so bad had she not fallen off of that balcony trying to get away from a survivor who turned when she was in Washington on her way down here for survivors to bring back to her safe haven in Alaska. The b*****d let her in his bunker but didn't say anything about his bites. Rayde saw a nice spot on the roadside that would be easily defensibile just outside the LA city limits. Rayde slowed down to a crawl, on the lookout for any of the undead. She pulled into the cabin's parking lot. It was one of those city people camping areas where rich people could come out and stay ing the woods with all of their amenities. She grabbed her MP5, stepped outside the Jeep and threw her cigarette. "Let's check this place for anything not quite human." she said as she motioned for everyone to get out of their trucks.

Duplin started checking every car for something useful, so far he found a pump shotgun and bottled water. " Alright guys Thats about all" He started walking through the isle of cars in the middle of the highway.

"Obviously I'm joking rayde i dont want you too jealous of some other girl."Shane said with a smirk.He kept scanning the treeline.he was bored and could do with a brush up on his medical skills."Anybody injuried?"he said out loud.He checked himself patting himself down for a stinging sensation.

-she walked after duplin rover following her- so where are we going to go?

" As i said before, Alaska, its a safe haven" He put one shotgun on his back and held the other one because it was a 12 gauge. The sun was really beating down on them, You could see inferred (Haze) coming up from the Asphalt. It was just rows and rows and row of cars. Epic traffic jam. " We should be in LA in about" He looks at his watch " 10 minutes at the pace where at now"

Rayde continued her search of the area, she didn't find anything of value. PLace must have been cleaned out prior to the infection. She walked over to Shane and said "Hey Shane, do you think you could do me a favor?"

huh alright -she took her hair out of a ponytail and walked-

Duplin sped up his pace. " Lets go!" He started running. He saw hope when he saw a small helicopter land near the coast. It was far away, but enough to give him hope. They where almost in LA.

"Sure what do you need Rayde?"Shane said looking at her.He had tied his shirt and made it into a turban like head covering.he was just about to get some proper headgear but it could wait.

"Hey Nilla, nice job conserving ammo," Rayde said. "If you know you can't make a shot, save it for when you need it most, right?"

Nilla nodded. It was common sense, really.

"Maybe when we get to LA," Rayde continued, "I'll teach you to shoot."

Nilla nodded again. She needed to learn how to shoot. She'd fired off four shots, and only one of them had hit anything. She needed to learn how to hold a handgun properly, how to line up a shot, how to hit a moving target. She definitely needed to learn how to shoot.

They rode on. Shane said something about survival skills, something about how you needed to learn some if you wanted to survive. Rayde laughed at him, mocked him. "Come on," she said, "Relax Shane. It's not like we're the few survivors of a zombie apocalypse or something." An awkward silence settled in after that, because it was true. Well, mostly true. Nilla doubted that they were the only living, breathing human beings left on the entire planet, but, based on what she'd seen in the last few days, they were almost certainly a minority. Shane broke the silence by listing his "survival skills," and things returned to some sort of normality.

Nilla stopped to consider her own survival skills. She didn't know how to shoot, so she dug deep into her mind to see if she could find any useful information. She'd discovered that she could remember a lot of random things, but nothing significant, nothing that could help her figure out who she was. All she could think about was human anatomy. The muscles, mostly, and how to stimulate them, how to relieve tension. She wondered if she had been a physical therapist, but she had no idea.

"Hey, you guys ready for a break?" Rayde asked, "I need to stretch before I get into the big city."

Nilla nodded eagerly. She needed to stretch, as well.

They stopped at some campgrounds just outside of LA. Rayde checked the area for zombies while Shane tended to the wounded. Nilla climbed out of the backseat and walked around a bit. Her body was sore and stiff, so she started to stretch, rubbing her arms and legs gently to relieve pain and pressure. She soon discovered that she was abnormally flexible. She was even capable of touching the top of her head to her back.

She smiled and giggled softly. Stretching was fun.

They arrived at the city. It was dead... all around, everywhere. Windows where broken, doors smashed, it was littered with dead bodies and some infected. He held his shotgun close. "There is no other way beside by car if we want to get out of here." He looked around for something useful, like a car. A Dodge Challenger was sitting in the corner. " Nice.." He walked over to it and inspected it. He tried to open the door but it was locked. He smashed his hand through the window. The alarm went off. The infected looked over at them, then started running. " CRAP" He jumped into the car. " GET IN!!" He tried to hot-wire the car.

-she rolled her eyes and pushed him away hot wiring the car easily- thats how u do it -she drove off-

Shane had watched Nilla stretch from the corner of his eye.he had to admit not vocally that the girl was good.He mentally listed some useless medical stuff in his mind he went over how to treat everything from anorxia to lacerations,Bilema and stomach viruses.
