Her hand glowed slightly brighter, and her face subsequently lit slightly.
"Well that's handy," she remarked, "Ferathi's already in flight our way... Evidently the transcendent sigil given by the blades themselves created a shared essence. To her death, my own but that explains... so much..."

Nonetheless, Jack tossed Tessa the apple before going to the window and looking out, squinting his eyes as he struggled to find any source of wind. "Well, either way I need to talk to Tia about these doldrums she seems to have inflicted upon us. Would you care to join me?" Jack asked, turning back to Tessa. "If you are able to of course," He said softly, coming to a crouch in front of her.

"I think I have some time yet," Tessa nodded, "and last I checked I was able."
She stood without any apparent problem and turned to look through the window opposite her.
"Jack, I do have one thing to ask. If I don't come back, don't blame yourself. All this might be seen through a twisted list of priorities but in the end I have to acknowledge a man's flaws just as much as anyone else, alright?"
She gave a soft smile, making every attempt to portray her meaning as gently as she could.

Jac's jaw pulsed before he sighed. "You are leaving," he said, going to the cabin door. "I should have expected it," He muttered, traversing the deck before pausing before the hatch and looking back to see if Tessa was following. Then he lowered himself down to the crew quarters, where Tia was entertaining the crew with a myth. Jack jerked his head to the side and she stood, now in clothes similar to what she was wearing at the port, and Jack drew her aside.

Tessa frowned for a long moment before stepping outside, but just as quickly turned back into the cabin. After a quick search she found a writing quill and a small bit of parchment, which after a slight investigation fit her needs perfectly. She began to write, and several minutes later finished, only just noticing the tear that had fallen onto the writing at her last line. Tessa Orinae Jack, please try to understand. All I've done since I even met you was bring you consistently in harm's way. Twice now I've put your ship and crew - your life's work even - in direct path to its destruction, and I firmly believe we both know I don't want you to have to go through that. The truth is, in some respects I am Lady Waeran Seriel. I'm the only one that can reforge her binding blade and give Tia some chance at not holding domain over the seas alone. I have plenty of regrets about leaving, but I can't allow Illumine to so quickly get between us like she has. I don't want that for you Jack. This is my own fate, and you have your life to live out. Jack returned to the cabin, the ship now in motion, and looked around, seeing that Tessa had a note on his desk. He sighed and closed the door. He went over to her and read the note over her shoulder before going to the balcony. "What life do I have, when half of it is missing?" Jack asked. "You yourself once told me that you wanted adventure. Now you have it and now you wish to run from it?" Jack asked, eyes closed as he faced the horizon. "And yet there is so much you have yet to understand..." He chuckled. "Calypso will live unruled, there is no doubt about that,"

Tessa bit her lip, coming to the wall and dropping her head on her forearm depressedly.
"Adventure, Jack? This transcends mortality, how can you not call this adventure? I have no interest in ruling the seas, but at this point I am as good as nothing, not to mention hunted. I can't put you in danger like this, Jack... I don't want you having to die for the sake of some Tessalonian girl who happens to have been in over her head half a century ago."
She pulled her face away, noting the distinct moisture on her arm and dropped her head, failing miserably at her attempts to avoid sobbing.

Jack turned to Tessa and wrapped his arms around her. "Danger? You put me in danger? I am the one who insisted to begin this whole adventure now didn't I?" He asked softly, rocking Tessa gently. "Besides, now we have a goddess determined to keep me alive, Hell, if she brought back Scarlett just to hold a ship for me, what do you think will stop her from keeping me alive?" He grinned gently, rubbing Tessa's shoulder with his thumb.

Tessa blinked in surprise, brought away from the wall slightly by the embrace, but quite suddenly she stared off in thought for a moment.
"Alright, alright... but either way I still have to see this finished. Illumine has direct power over Wearan's fate, and if I'm going to have any chance at recreating Seriel I need to withdraw that power from her. Maybe if Tia's so intent on helping you out, then she could maybe keep things going and we could both go?"

"Tia, Calypso, whoever the hell she is, will not be content to be bound to a ship Tessa. Can we not lure Illumine here?" Jack asked, looking around the cabin. "I am sure that once she knows who you are in a sense, surely she would want you, no?" Jack asked, thinking, but rather slowly, as his thoughts were still half hazy from his rum. "I doubt I will be allowed to leave the ship by this point," He murmured with a chuckle. "And my leaving will only give Scarlett time to put whatever scheme she has in motion,"

 The Sisterhood of Slaughter
Choose your fate... Ferathi Orlerretyn The finesse of the winds,
Cassandra Nayime The rage of the fires,
Tessa Orinae The chill of the seas,
Vanessa Halderi The might of the Earth. Hardly with any visible movement at all, merely a streak of blue and white against the horizon Ferathi landed on the brow of the ship, her great feathered wings folding down behind her. With a cautious raise of her hands to the crew she quickly addressed herself.
"No need to panic, I - we're here to prevent a disaster, not to bring one. Where's Jack?"
Her Pegasus landed shortly in front of her, Cassandra and Vanessa quickly dismounting and taking each a side of the ship's perimeter.Cassandra looked straight to the captain's quarters, her suspicions pinpointing Waeran's essence through the blade at her side.
"Tessa!" She called, "You're late!""Cassandra-?"
Tessa pried herself from Jack's hold and burst through the doorway, giving a slight cry of delight at seeing the entire Sisterhood gathered for the occasion.
"Jack, I guess you win this one," she said turning back, "but I promise this still is quite far from over."Vanessa said nothing, but instead set herself to work summoning several revolving stones of various sizes about herself, ready for anything to come or go as it might.Obliteration On Cheetos:

Jack grinned. "I do rather like winning," He said to himself, before following Tessa out. He thought of how nice it was to see her well, and smiled before seeing Scarlett, a gleam in her eyes that Jack knew all too well. He scowled before contacting Mr. Porter and leaning on him slightly as he spoke in his ear. "Lock that excessivly, foxlike, pig headed, stubborn, seductress in the brig if you would please," He said, spitting out insults through his teeth while Mr. Porter leaned away cautiously.
"Aye captain," He said, before going and grabbing Scarlett, and forcing her below while she screamed something about being captain.
"Not anymore love," Jack said under his breath.

A beam of light from above shot down to the center of the deck and gave way to Illumine's descent, the same erected barriers diffracting the light of her own display every possible manner such that she could not even be distinguished from a massive ball of white light. As she landed though, and the light faded her figure could be seen clearly enough, blade in hand and watching the movements of all about her.
"So, the entire Sisterhood welcomes me. What a shame, too. I was rather hoping to enjoy the hunt, but it seems the crippling of one serves to be the entire downfall." She looked to Tessa, "And what a remarkable revelation, that in fact you returned. How much better then, that you get to see all your comrades fall into death for your sake before I even begin with you.""You look to be missing the obvious, Illumine," Ferathi said boldly, "as you are quite outnumbered. I doubt even you could pull this off."
She stood perfectly still, however, poised to launch at any moment without warning.Cassandra scoffed, taking a quick glance to Tessa before motioning to Vanessa her way.
"I would make a point of outmatched, but just because we've single-handedly taken everything that came at us so far wouldn't mean a thing to you, now would it?" She paused for a moment, "Doesn't make it any less valid."For the moment, Tessa could not even find words to say. She knew well enough she was helpless by comparison, that her support would be all but suicidal until she could regain Seriel in full.Vanessa kept her silence by choice, instead focusing on the building of size and number to her choice of tactics."You speak bold words for the doomed. A pity they will be among your last."
Illumine stepped forward, vanishing only to reappear behind Tessa, blade held across her throat, an expectant stare falling to each of the Sisterhood as well as Jack.
"Enough of this madness. She has been restored already, but her life is entirely her own now. Unless you want to lose her in an absolute sense, surrender."Obliteration On Cheetos:

Jack stepped back, unwilling to lost Tessa again, and looked to the rest of the sisterhood before spotting his rope. He mentally ahhed and stepped sideways over to it, slowly. His rum was still there too and he took the cork out with his teeth. "Rum solves everything, have a drink," He said, holding out the bottle to Illumine,"
A shot rang out on deck, emanating from the gun of Tia before she dropped it and moved forwards, ice creeping over Tessa's skin, thickening over her neck. "There is hardly any sense in your premeditated victory, as there will not be one for you in the end," Tia said.

Vanessa Halderi The might of the Earth. The bullet angled oddly off of the outermost barrier, still traveling full speed away from Illumine, but she only smiled. After a moment she stepped around to Tessa's front and threw her hand out behind her, hurling the Half-Elven girl to the wall bound in searing chains of light.
"Bold words, but can you back them?" She asked, "You fight in the name of all existence's foolery, and yet hold yourself so high above divinity itself. Come then, all of you. It's high time this ended."
With none in the immediate vicinity, the goddess raised a hand to Ferathi, a quickening series of rays shooting out at the Aviren.Between force of wind and sheer mobility, she did not have an incredibly rough time avoiding the onslaught, though she looked behind her for a split moment and had to smile. Several rays had passed into the ship's structure, but the ship itself remained. As she turned her head back though she shot into the air, her wings the only means to avoid being obliterated.Cassandra shot a glance to Tessa, before looking to Jack and motioning her way. After a brief look at her options, she drew Fariel and rushed at Illumine, slightly caught off guard that the goddess had moved to parry her coming strike without even looking.A single massive boulder moved away from Vanessa and dropped onto the goddess' barrier, shattering into several hundred pieces and flying away in every possible direction, but the defense seemed to flicker a moment before fading, leaving the other three remaining.Obliteration On Cheetos:
