Oh heavens, somebody please find a definite answer before you do our heads in. Perhaps they stopped because they didn't have the rights or something? But then you say they're taken it back up again...
Although I must say, that's a pretty darn epic-looking promo poster! Whoever it is.

So...first it was being made, then it was cancelled, director changed, resumed, there was a writer's strike in there I think, then it started again and now it's halted yet again? confused neutral I think I got a migraine.

To be completely honest, the making of this movie seems too over-complicated. But as fans, we gotta cross our fingers and hope for the best. After all, it'd be a shame to get this worked up and get nothing in return. ~ Henrytownshend4235

That is true. And maybe it'll get them to finish the mangas and other comic book. It would be nice after all. They keep leaving me on cliff hangers. stare

Good point Henry but I just can't get my hopes up for what could end up to be a big fiasco.
But cliffhangers are the best part of the stories mistress! Ha-ha! mrgreen

I can understand that but you can bet that if I use a cliff hanger, I'm gonna continue my story no matter what. I believe the KB journal doesn't have many of those.
I'm with you LR! Comics are usually preferable to live action films. Is it just me or is it much easier for Hollywood to screw up things in that format? Just look at what they did to Dragon Ball! I couldn't believe the review I saw... stressed I don't even wanna see the movie but I will once it's out on cable.

Chris8904 Why don't they be smart and just make a Animated CV movie that would fit the series more rather than a live action movie. Animated might take longer but hey it would be pretty awsome and wouldnt require actor - character look alikes. All they would have to do is draw it up and find some good voice actors. Japanese voice actors would be better i'd rather read subs then listen to a shitty renditioned DUB!! evil Isn't someone doing this? In terms of news, I heard the rendered CG-styled movie which depicted Castlevania III(or it's characters at least) was still in the works, according to CV Wiki.

In terms of updates to the movie via date, it states that as of recent, the movie is pushing forward.
*However* in the Developer's page, the film seems very "ominous" in terms of sticking to the original Castlevania(Dracula's Castle)
* Depicting Dracula as young when he seemed to be middle-aged in the Chronicles remake. * He's looking for a possible reincarnation to his deceased wife (No news as to whether this was Lisa, but that'd be impossible anyhow chronologically-speaking.) * The protagonist, Simon Belmont, leads a group of rogue knights. (This would be a misconception, as Simon was never clearly seen with anybody else IN Castlevania (not necessarily in Simon's Quest, he had a few encounters)
But yeah, in terms of sticking to originality, this film seems to be slowly tipping the cauldron. Now if someone knows of any confirmed news of cancelation being it has been recent. (it has been in the past) please let me know. ♪

Well we all knew that they were going to change it a little bit. For some reason they have to add their own little spin on it. I just hope that they don't do too much to it.

Right, i'm with you there m'lady. The thing is, developer's have the tendency to look at, for say, a video game, and interpret it as having very little plot, therefore they believe they're doing justice by *adding* (not enhancing) to the original plot.
...and everyone knows how that goes.
Still, i'd rather have a little more input about something then to crash bomb it right off the spot, so we'll just have to see!
