Jane shrugged and took a sip as she realized that he was right. "I'm not sure," she said. "Well, I'm a medical doctor and a scientist, what's your excuse?"

Jinx had been wondering the halls for an hour or two, she was exhausted, it was late and all she felt like doing was sleeping. Rubbing her eyes she yawned and looked at the map. It had a huge red arrow pointing to a little blue dot and it read "YOU ARE HERE" Tracing her finger along the map she closed her eyes and counted to ten. Her finger ended up on the hallway where her room was. Sighing she reapeted the action and it ended up in the womens bathroom, or the bar/resturant thing. Her finger was right in the middle. Throwing her hands up she rolled her eyes. "Fine i'll wander that hallway" she said sleepily. Jinx couldn't go to sleep for another thirty minutes, she had just taken her bruise antioxodents and her drops. She wasn't allowed to go to sleep.

Jinx passed the nurses office on the way. Smiling at the people in there she sighed, she was glad she wasn't in a condition like that but unhappy for them. Looking around she realized the girls were all younger than her. 'What ever' Was all she thought. "Jinx?" Asked the nurse in the room right then. "Oh? Yes?" She said suprised, but it was really more of a question. "Have you taken your medicion today?" Jinx nodded and smiled, "I wouldn't be up if I haden't" she said jokingly. "Who are the...well why are the girls in here...in here?" Looking around the room she realized one even had an IV. "Oh my goodness, what..I thought my dad was bad..."

Jane raised her martini glass as though for a toast. "Being cute can be very tiring," she said. She took a drink. "I should know."

The nurse smiled and rested her hand on Jinx's shoulder. "Easy Baby, I think you can get to sleep now." Smiling at her the nurse lead Jinx to her room. "There you go sweetie, goodnight" Jinx collapsed into bed and the moment she was under the blanket she slept. Soundly and tirelessly.

Luckas chuhckled. "You would know, huh?" Another yawn. "Alright, I'm closing up now, so I can get some shut eye for once in my life. If you want, I can make you one more drink before I head off to bed."

Jane shook her head. "No, you need your sleep." She reached over the counter to hand him the now empty glass. "You need energy to break up the bar fights."

A smile flickered across his face as he put the glass away. "Bar fights...the most interesting part of my job." He walked out from behind the counter, and headed off down the hall. "G'night Jane."

She laughed as she waved and said "Goodnight." She was getting sleepy, too, and headed toward her dormatory to get some sleep. She remembered Cadhla, Caitlyn, and the other sick students, however, and decided that she wanted to take a peek to make sure they were all okay.
Merely glancing in, she saw that nothing important seemed to have occured. She headed down the hall, a satisfied feeling in her gut.
'No one died today,' she thought. Maybe, if it all goes up hill, Cadhla will get over the amnesia and Caitlyn will speak.'
She knew that her hopeful thinking could very well bite her in the butt if she wasn't careful.

It was an early start to a life changing day. Alaric pulled up to the hotel in his taxi, peering out the window at the early morning life now trickling in from the houses and alleyways. "Here we go..." he muttered thoughtfully to himself. The taxi screeched to a stop directly in front of the main door. He pulled a wad of bills out of his pocket and counted them out as he looked at the meter on the dash of the taxi. "$7.25 then?" he said handing the taxi driver a ten and a five. "keep the change." he said with a wink on his way out the door. He grabbed his bag hurriedly and ran to the front door. He listened long enough for the driver to issue a small disbelieving thanks. He tried to push open the door, but to no avail. After trying to pull it open he gave up with a sigh and started to knock on the door. "Hello? Hello?! HELLO?!" he yelled repeatedly.

You'll soon drip...As her eyelids got more and more heavy, Caitlyn couldn't help but yawn.
Mistake.
"Oh, are you so tiyewd?" the nurse asked in a voice low but cheery that mimicked a voice that would be used for a small puppy who had just fetched a ball. "Why don't you just go nighty-night and let aunty Chewl take care of yew!"
Without a word, Caitlyn stared at the woman who, dispite the wierd voice, Caitlyn was pretty sure was named Cheryl. Caitlyns brows were furrowed and she had sunk as far away from the nurse into the large pillow as possible. Any woman that obnoxious at that age was most likely insane.
