White Water Hotel

[whay whay whay]

The City:
Filled with endless waterways and buildings, foods and sights, all of them filling the senses of the little children that lived in the big city. There were alleys that get a person lost for days, lost in wonder of where the tunnel might lead. And if the person were to walk far enough, they might reach a certain building called the White Water Hotel.

The Hotel:
A hotel hidden between buildings, it's doors located at the end of the longest alley in the city. It's contents hidden as best as they can from the outside world. The building was made for children with no where left to go. A place for only a certain kind of people to find.

The People:
Orphans left in the rain, babies abandoned at birth, children beaten to the point of wishing for the end; these where the people who were welcomed to the hotel. Many children who had lived there for most their life called the hotel a rehabilitation center; a place for them to start their lives over. Soon, many children who found their hearts healed began to work in the hotel as employeys, trying the best that they could to heal other orphans wounds and aches.

But some children were proven to never be able to smile again.

Bio~ Skye ran away from home after her father drastically hurt her. Her mother had died when Skye was at a young age, so she had no one to protect her as she grew older. Skye was an only child so was the only one hurt by her father. Skye learned to steal after running away, but soon found the hotel where she stayed in the hospital wing for a year and didn't start to work as a waitress for another year. Now, Skye is quite healthy with only one long scar across her left arm which she hides. Skye is continuasly found in the hospital wing, helping the nurses because being a nurse is what Skye wants to do once she's old enough.

Bio~ Memories were always a problem with Jane. Although she remembered parts of her past, there are gaps in her life that seem not to want to return to her. She remembers parents, vaguely, but there's about a two-year gap before she ended up at the door of the Hotel when she was 13. Now, as a nurse, she works hard to repay those at the hotel who helped her heal the mysterious scars and wounds, and to help those who have been through similar experiences.

Bio~ Jinx was tired of it, her mom was a syco path and her dad was a drunk, evil, jerk. Her mom beat her bloody, 2,3 times a week and her father touched abused and hurt her, she was in a family of sycos. Then she found it, she had ran away and found the most wonderfull saving place in all of the city. She had escaped the stuffy hurtfull walls and was on to better things. Or so she hoped.

Bio~ For her entire life, Caitlyn has lived in fear of her parents and the pain that they brought her whenever she was bad. Learning that, if she was quiet and obediant she would not be whipped or hit, she became mute and a perfect listener. When her parents left one day and didn't come back for three days, she found herself out of food and hungry. She wandered out of the house, hoping for something to eat, and ended up at the hotel. Since she got there, as they treated her wounds, she has not said a word except her name whispered in her sleep the second night after her arrival.

Bio~ Alaric grew up in a steady home with loving parents. At a young age, his parents relized his intellectual greatness and made him skip many grades, making his loose part of his child hood. He was making his valadictorian speach when it happened. A police officer and his favirote teacher walked up to him and told him his parents had died. They had left him enough money to get through his college years, but not much else. He spent the last 6 years at a top medical college in the area. When he left the place, he found himself alone in the world. With no work to take his mind of the pain, he decided to get a job as a doctor here.

Sitting on Cadhla's bedside, she repeated a conversation she had had with the seven year-old at least four times now. "Your name means beautiful." This girl had suffered a head injury that had caused amnesia. Now, although she is functioning just fine, she has short-term memory loss.
"What does your name mean, Jane?" Cadhla asked her again.
"Well," Jane started. "Jane means 'God is Gracious', but my name, Jane Doe, is a code."
Cadhla looked at her for a moment. "You mean like a secret code?"
Jane smiled. Cadhla hadn't asked that last time. "Yeah, like spies would use. Only, spies aren't the ones who use this name. Only doctors and nurses like me."
"What does it mean?" Cadhla asked.
"It means that I don't have a name. You see, I'm just like you, only the opposite."
Cadhla laughed. "That doesn't make any sense!"
Jane laughed, too. Tapping the girl's nose, she said, "Oh, yes it does. You see, you forget things that just happened. I forget things that have happened a long time ago."
Cadhla's eyes widened. "You're not going to forget me, are you?!" She asked, fear in her eyes. Jane only laughed.
"I will never forget you."

Thinking that she had seen something out of the corner of her eye, she turned and saw a young girl in the doorway. "Skye! Hello!" she turned to Cadhla. "Sweety, this is Skye, do you remember her?"
Cadhla shook her head 'no', but continued to looked at Skye.
'She's probably thinking Deja Vou right now,' Jane thought.

Jane smiled. "You 'kay?" she asked. Skye was one of the good ones that actually did more help than hurt and she had great potential as a nurse. "Where did you run from?" she asked.

Jane smiled and looked to Cadhla. "Her name is Skye, what do you think Skye means?" she asked her. This was a trick question that she asked a lot of people.
Cadhla smiled. "That's easy! It means sky!"
"Nope," Jane said. "It means island."
"No!" Cadhla protested. "Skye is sky!"
"Nuh-uh!" Jane said, mimicking a whine that many children, including Cadhla, gave her.
"Yeah-huh!" Cadhla whined back through a laugh.

Cadhla's eyes flickered and she fell back onto the pillow. These faints were common and were followed by complete memory loss of the moments before. Jane sighed sadly and turned to Skye.
"I'd sort of been hoping she'd stay awake this time," she admitted, her eyes showing the pain that she felt for all of the children that came to her ward.
She had no time to stop and feel upset about Cadhla, who would eventually get over this, she had other children to take care of. She stood and walked to the next bed.
"Caitlyn?" she whispered to the girl who had come in not too long ago. "Hey, sweety? Are you awake?"
