Heret blushed darker than he ever had before, his ears flattening back as he was kissed. "Y-yeah. R-really. I really like you..." He stuttered out with a smile, nuzzling her back and kissing her softly.

awe!!! he's so shy!!!!
Lumi could hear her Guardian chirping, She ignored the laughter in her mind and focused on Heret... who was... blushing... and had... just... kissed... her!!!!!!
HOLY CRAP!!!!
"SO CUTE!"
Lumi squealed as she giggled and nuzzled against Heret. She couldn't stop giggling despite the fact that she felt like a silly love struch fawn, bouncing around like that with out any regards for what other people thought. But it was just Heret and her there righ? what did it matter? She giggled some more before finally settling down and attempting to even out her breathing. She smiled slyly and nipped at Heret's ear.
"It's a good thing you said that, otherwise it would have eventually gotten a little stalker-esk the way i follow you around so closely all the time."

Heret's blush, if possible, darkened. "It would have been a bit creepy, I'll admit that." He said softly, nuzzling Lumi again. He was happy that she agreed with him, happier than he'd been ever since he was thrown out of his own home. The herla smiled, licking Lumi's cheek softly and nuzzling her again.
Unknown to the couple, a silver form watched them from the bushed behind Lumi. Well good, Heret was obviously managing.... He'd wait until later to show himself. With that thought, the herla slipped away, as silently as he'd come.

SO CUTE!!!! -glomps but really just ends up passing through Heret.- OH NO!!! -flails- i can't glomp!!!!
Lumi couldn't help but smile happily and continue to nuzzle back with Heret, she couldn't help but giggle as he licked her cheek.
"Gosh Heret."
she couldn't help but tease, using the voice that she often used to imitate her bubbily Guardian.
"This had better mean that you and I are a couple otherwise people are gonna talk."

"Well of course. We couldn't have talk, now could we?" Heret smiled, nuzzling her again. That was when he realized that they were still both soaking wet. "Come, let's go back to my glen so we can dry off." He suggested, giving her a nudge and taking a few steps towards his home.

Lumi nodded her head happily before quickly catching herself and letting out a chirpy, cheerful "yes!" her wings fluttered in exctiement as thought of staying here with Heret even longer. She couldn't but smile lovingly at the thought. She shook her hair a few times when he reminded her that she was still wet, funny how he'd been able to make her forget, until of course she'd realised that's she was no longer wearing her scarf and she stopped, a petrified look on her face!
"my scarf!" she wailed "oh no! I have to go get it! wait right here! i'll be right back!"
Lumi smiled and kissed Heret on the cheek once more before quickly heading off to locate her drying scarf.

"Alright, I'll wait over here." Heret called as she darted off, smiling to himself. He never would have imagined meeting someone like Lumi as easily as he had. The herla had always imagined his search for some he could love to be difficult and near impossible. Instead, he'd found it came easily. Maybe he was dreaming.

Lumi really had started off with the sole intention of going to retreive her scarf. She was too happy to think of anything else, she was literally beaming. She'd finally found a place to stay with someone she liked, maybe even more. The fact that it was someone that would probably NEVER care about her looks was a plus too. She was so excited! and Being with Heret, it was so easy, almost like breathing... unless of course she wanted to impress him.... was that a bad thing? Her mother had always impressed her father? would she be able to do the same thing?
Lumi suddenly stopped as a thousand different thoughts came crashing down all around her head. She was in love. She was happy. She was in love with a Herla that had a high probability of getting hurt.
Why did that sound so familiar.
Lumi felt her legs give out underneath as reality came crashing to the ground, along with her body. She layed there for a moment or two completely stunned, everything Harley, her guardian, had said was true. She really WAS like her mother. The apple really DIDN'T fall far from the tree. Would that mean Heret would leave her? He was always wanting to do things on his own, so far he hadn't REALLY gotten hurt, what happened if he left her one day on his own and fell down a hole? what if she couldn't find him? What if they had children together and she ended up living the rest of her life like her mother? Always hoping that Heret would never get hurt?
Panic began to strike as she shakilly rose to her feet, quickly finding her scarf and tugging it from the tree branch. She found it was suddenly becoming EXTREMELY too hard to breath, she needed to be in the open, not surrounded by all these trees. Not closed in between the water and the tree's.... why couldn't she see the sky? where was the sky?
As Lumi began to go full swing into a Panic attack her Guardian began cooing over her, trying to get her to breath. She kept reminding Lumi that all she had to do was wrap her scarf around her neck and she'd feel better again.
Lumi nodded her head, her breathing becoming short and erratic, she quickly wrapped the scarf half-assedly around her neck, it was loose and it was hanging, but it was still around her neck and for somereason that felt comforting.
Her breathing began to slow down again and her heart rate soon returned to normal. however, Lumi couldn't shake the thoughts that plagued her.
If she were to stay, here, with Heret, would she live out the rest of her life like her mother? Her Guradian claimed that she was simply afraid of committment.
"afraid?" lumi countered, "or wary?"
Was it worth having her world torn apart if Heret suddenly dissapeared? what if Heret's brother came back for him? would he approve of Lumi? Would he make Heret choose between her and his family? could she make him decide?
Her guardian tried to reassure her over and over again that everything was going to be alright. But she remembered the elder women in her little home reassuring her mother that everything was going to be alright, but Lumi knew, there would never really be an alright if she were allowed to spend time with Heret and have him ripped away from her. there would only be dispair.
She needed to leave, Lumi needed to leave right now and never come back, for her own sake, hell for her sanity. She looked over her shoulder, heart breaking in two at the decision that she was about to make, her eyes welled up with tears but she willed them to go back into her eyes.
"I'm sorry, i love you."
she whispered to no one and everyone all at the same time. She hoped Heret would understand, becuase in the end, it would take something great the quell the fears in Lumi's heart as she turned around and began to slowly walk in the direction leading away from HEret.

Balin had thought about just watching Heret, but instead he decided that it would be better to follow this female and see what she did when she was alone. After all, he wasn't going to let her hurt his brother. Heret didn't need to be hurt anymore. That was when Lumi began to have what looked to be a panic attack and the silver herla was glad he had chosen to watch her. His frown grew as he realized that she was planning to just leave Heret standing there. Well that wouldn't do... The herla stepped out of the thick bushes he'd been hiding in, effectivly cutting off Lumi's path. "And just where do you think you're going?" He asked softly with a frown, glancing Lumi over. Hopefully she'd see enough resemblance to realize that he was related to Heret and wouldn't freak out.

Lumi didn't recognise Balin for Heret's brother, in fact, she was pretty sure at that point she most likely wouldn't have even noticed him there in the woods if he hadn't made himself known. Despite the fact that Lumi was always aware of her enviornment. She didn't even really look at Balin, she almost seemed to look through him. As if she were the proverbial, deer caught in the headlights. She really did need to breath.
"I'm going wher ever i can! there's not enough space here! i can barely breath!"
Lumi said, panic beginning to rise in her voice again.

Balin frowned, and in a soft and calm voice said, "Calm down. Nothing's after you, it's okay. Just take a few deep breaths. Everything's okay." The herla stepped a bit closer, continue to whisper soft comforting words, trying to relax the female.

If anything, having a person clos in on her made Lumi even more freaked out. Even though this person looked like someone that belonged in the mountainous region of her home, Lumi couldn't stand someone getting to close to her, she needed wide open spaces, BIG WIDE open spaces. She was shaking her head, fluttering her wings, and swishiing her tail as she backed up a few steps, getting ready to bolt. She was breathing sporadically now and completely disregarding her Guardians words advising her to calm down and wrap the scarf a little tighter.

He took a few steps back, frowning. "Calm down. It's alright... Do you want me to get Heret for you?" Balin as softly, continuing to frown. "Please calm down so we can talk... I'd really like to talk to you."

Lumi closed her eyes, maybe that would help out her, it didn't, she stepped back a few more times before stepping into the freezing cold stream. that tore her out of her panic attack, eyes wide open for a moment she looked at the silver Herla before her. confusion shining in her eyes. so many questions came rushing to her head but she didn't want him to go and get Heret, that would make leaving him even harder, she shook her head.
"no! don't get Heret, please don't get Heret."
She stayed in the water, the temperature seemed to be cementing her to reality, her breathing began to return to normal, even if she was getting cold. She looked at the Herla in front of her a bit closer, and noticed the string around his horn as well, was this Heret's brother?
"who are you? and why do you want to speak with me?"

Balin sighed in relief as Lumi finally began to calm down, though he wasn't exactly pleased that she didn't want Heret to be there. "My name's Balin. Heret's my younger brother. I saw you two earlier and I was wondering what you're hoping to accomplish by abandoning him by himself. Did he really do anything to deserve being hurt like that?"
