Hali surfaced, and her dragon shortly after to come across the horrifying realization that... her pretty boy had left. She pouted and crossed her arms, "Now look what you've done..." she growled at the dragon, "he's gone away."

Hali slowly sunk in the water and continued her search for her life long merman mate.

Oriana set her papers aside and rose to answer the door, "May I help you?"

"Yeah.... No problem..." she sighed as she shut the door and returned to her paperwork. After half a stack had vanished she walked downstairs and began making lunch. she stirred the noodles in the pot, and turned back to the counter to continue chopping carrots and celery. she added it to another larger pot and then returned to the counter to chop up some chicken she had baked the night before.

After she had everything chopped up she added the soft noodles, she threw in some herbs, salt, and pepper, then covered it and let it soak in the flavors till she felt ready to eat it.

After an exhausting day of searching, Hali returned home and went inside, "How's Savarti been?"

"Fine... She read a ton of books on Aquious..." Oriana muttered as she sipped some iced tea.

Hali nodded and closed her eyes enjoying the scent of the soup, "That smells amazing. What are we having?"

"Homemade soup."

"Good evening! How did your day with Oriana go?" Hali asked as she grabbed a few bowls and filled them with soup. "Oh! We're having Homemade soup!" Hali exclaimed as filled a third bowl, "Oriana made it... Want some?" she handed a bowl out to Savarti.

"Well," Hali began, "I dove off of the yard and landed in our lake below, and upon enjoying the water on my skin... My top got caught on someone's fishing line and had a huge fight while trying to get untangled under water... After I got tired out he managed to get me on shore... and i picked on him by introducing him to my pet, but he got scared off and left." She grabbed some bread and set a bowl in front of Oriana, "It was rather depressing... He never even told me his name..." she sat at the table and sighed, "He was quite attractive too." she took her first bite and smiled, letting the soup warm her from the inside out, "So, did you have a good nap?"

Oriana quietly ate her soup and listened to her sister's adventures, surprisingly showing a bit more interest in it than usual.

"Oh! We could go to Aquaria tomorrow if you want! I kind of want to go shopping." Hali smiled as she broke another chunk of bread off and dipped it in her soup.

Oriana finished her soup and set the dish in the sink. she plugged the drain and began filling the sink with warm water and added a small cube of soap. she grabbed a rag from a near by drawer and began doing dishes.

Hali and Oriana stayed up and finished the dishes, then went their separate ways and went to bed.

The next morning, Hali woke up early, made a large breakfast for everyone, ate her fill, and began an early exploration for her merman... or maybe her cat man.

Oriana shuffled downstairs about an hour after Hali left and munched on some of the food that had been sitting on the stove to keep warm.

Hali noticed a large splash up above and saw someone in the water. she waited for them to begin swimming to the surface again, but they didn't. "Goodness, What are they doing up there now?" she growled as she swam up to the unconscious man. She latched her arms under his and around his chest, and swam him to the surface, then noticed a large sea creature being harassed by a group of people.

Hali growled and began to swim the man to the beach, when she realized who she was carrying, "Ah! you?! What in the world are you doing?! One, these creatures are endangered... and two... she's pregnant! you can't attack a pregnant creature! It's wrong!!!" She shouted while shaking the unconscious man in the water, "Ugh, no one cares for us folks of the water..." she grumbled and slipped him up on the beach. Placing a hand over his mouth, she lifted her hand the water came up from his lungs and returned to the lake.

"You foolish man! If you wanted a damned fish I would have gotten you one myself!" she grumbled as she used her arms to push herself over to the wounded creature. she healed it's cut limb and helped it back into the water before turning her attention to the group behind her.

"You!" she hissed as she noticed the men, "Hell, you're probably the reason why they're all basically extinct!" her legs reverted and she pulled a strand of water from the lake in a whip like form, "If you don't leave these creatures alone I will be forced to take you into custody." Hali prepared to fight the men and awaited their response.

(If it isn't fit to your satisfaction... let me no... I typed it while basically still sleeping.) sweatdrop

Hali smiled, "You could work for me... You can help me protect these creatures... I'll pay you twice what they offer to kill them..." she sighed and turned away from him, "Everyone wants to kill them because they taste good... but did you know there's only four left... her, her brother, and two other males. she's the only female left... the only hope for the race."

Hali looked into the water, "I'm sorry... I guess I just couldn't allow you to destroy their race..." she slipped into the inland ocean and began to swim away.
