A blink occurs at this, Leotie having to consider a bit on the matter,"I admit...out of all the birds I have seen, I have not ever considered the buzzards to be having soft feathers..since there are others that have far softer. It is sad if they are truly the only to have feathers to be considered soft in the land where you are from..there must not be much that flies..Here there is much..many different birds...And there are others like myself....Though I suppose we are not as common as those without. But not entirely uncommon...If that can make any sense at all." the purple mare beginning to wonder if she was the one just babbling and if she had managed to make any sense at all with the last bit. Her wings shifting just slightly as this was thought about in the moment.
A glance is given over to the other two, a smile coming,"Aye, he does keep us a bit busy...thuogh it is not just Eidel and I. He has enough energy to keep an entire herd busy and then some, just trying to keep him out of serious trouble. " As Leotie draws her gaze back,"I sometimes wonder if he has enough energy to tire out a couple of foals."
A comment Pakwa manages to catch and whickers on about,"I could out run and out last a whole back of foals!!" And with the continued energy the stallion manages to show..he just might be able to at that.
Eidel just shakes her head and gives Pakwa a nosing to the shoulder,"One day your boasting is going to get you head long into more trouble then you can handle. And when we're not around to help get you out of it."
Leotie glances up at the sky a moment,"It is...different...I must admit to that. I would not give up for anything. I would be happy to try and describe it to you sometime...if you can find the time to spare and listen to me ramble on."

Nodding Abloec agrees. "True, there is very little life of any kind where I am from, let alone flying creatures. A few herds like my family, some two legger nomads, wild dogs, lizards and crawly things but not much else. Its too hot for much to live there. So seeig one similar to me with wings is a surprise ad a treat." He smiles at Leotie having understood her just fine, smiling and enjoying the conversation, short as it had been so far.
Looking over at the other pair, raising an eyebrow, still not sure what to make of the other stallion. Trying not to cringe at the image of his father in his mind. Having a very strict dad who was big on disipline. This stallion so unlike anyone that he had seen before it made it hard for him to understand him, but he had time.
Looking back up to the sky and smiling. "I have plenty of time if you want to hang out and talk some time. I am rairly doing anything special, Eidel can tell you that I was just laying around before she ran into me." Smiling over at Eidel as he says this, happy with his new friend, hoping that Leotie would want to be friends too.

Black mane swished along as Leotie's head canted to the side,"Very little life?" This was a thing that was difficult for her to comprehend, the forest was teaming with life. Even in the winter there was much life to be found, even if lesser of the plant life then the summer months. "It sounds..well....different. I cannot imagine such a lack of life. And I am not sure we have the same lizards and crawly things. I think there are crawly things about, but maybe not so much on the lizards...Wild dogs are about but there are so many more animals as well. Though I suppose you are noticing that and do not need me telling you." No doubt he had seen quite a number more creatures in the forest then he'd was used to seeing in the desert lands he was from.
There had certainly been a decided lack of strictness in Pakwa's childhood...or least none that stuck. The stallion was certainly a free sprite of energy. One really did have to wonder if the male ever slept!
Eidel took a time out from trying to keep Pakwa from darting off and being lost to them again..and no doubt in endless amounts of trouble soon enough if left to his own devices. "I was showing him about a little, but if you wanted to go ahead and take over and tell him a little about it all...I can go ahead and see about if Pakwa can be herded home." The mare blushing a little bit at the reminder of about trampling the male, noting in a murmur,"He's just being kind, I rather rudely awoke him. Blended in with the grasses."
Leotie glances between the pair before settling a glance on Abloec,"If you do not mind a change in guides, I would be happy to continue your tour about and try not to bore you with talk about what flying is like. Though I am certain you do plenty of special things. You made a great journey from home to here, that is special and surely gave you some stories to tell as well."

Smiling at Leotie and nodding. "Yes life here is more obvious, and there is more larger creatures. In the desert there is more small life, usually lizards, spiders or bugs. But you wont see much of it, mostly you see miles and miles of sun bleached sand. The odd oasis of water and greenery but usually they are the most dangerous places. Here is much more comfortable, though its a little cold compared to what I was used to. The desert has a beauty to it as well though, its harsh and inhospitable but its beautiful as well. Same as here, I'm sure there are places with the same majestic beauty." A little whimsical for the memories of the sunrises over the dunes as his family head to the oasis, the sunsetting behind the mountains, the shadow spreading over the sand like a stain. Yes home had been beautiful in its odd way.
Looking between Leotie and Eidel, tilting his head and smiling. "I'm not just being nice, its one of the better ways I have been woken up." Looking over at Leotie. "If you and Eidel don't mind swapping I'm good with it, I can tell you more about the desert I grew up in if you wanted?" Looking back at Eidel not wanting her to feel like he wasn't appreciative of her showing him around so far. Walking over to her and nuzzleing her a little, in a more friendly way than intimate. "Thank you for waking me up Eidel, and for showing me around, I'll be hoping to see you again soon." Smiling, fond of this shy pail mare. "If you ever need to rest your welcome to have my spot under the tree." Trying to not give away that her naps were her taking a break from Pakwa duty, but still telling her that she was welcome to find him any time.
Grinning at Leotie. "I want to hear everything you feel like talking about when it comes to flying. Not so special really, I don't remember how I got here, as far as I know one minuite I was back home, the next I was waking up on the shore here." Looking sheepish, his big adventure still a mystery to him, not to mention everyone else.

Leotie cants her head slightly,"We have those about as well, lizard things and bugs and spiders...Though they are perhaps not noticed as much with the greater amount of larger life. The sand is lacking though, here. There are some beaches upon the river and I hear near the ocean, but it does not sound like what you describe. " A smile came,"I fear, it does get far colder during the winter, even when the coats thicken..It helps...But spring is always welcome. There is beauty, majestic as well as smaller beauties, if one but simply looks." The mare being one to stop and smell the roses so to speak.
Eidel passes a glance with Leotie,"No, we'd not mind. And, I'm sure she'd appreciate a bit of a break." Giving the friendly nuzzle in return. "You are quite welcome, even if I am yet sorry for startling you in it. I am glad to have met you, and I am sure we will surely run into ne another again...and I'll be sure to watch a little more carefully under that spot when I next visit it..It does seem a fine place to visit." Giving a bit of a grin before she turns to nudge Pakwa along..a stern little nudging.
Which sends the stallino bounding and hoping along, more like a leaping frog or hopping rabbit quite frankly..and not so much like a proper stallion. And it takes another nudge and hint of a n** from Eidel for Pakwa to be reminded of any sense of manners..if one wants to call them that...for he shouts back,"Bye! Be good, don't wear out Leotie!"
The purple mare just sighs a bit and shakes her head after the pair as they head along..no doubt, namely Pakwa. "He will never grow up, forever a child at heart that one." He'll be old and grey and probably still trying to bounce about. "I should like to hear more about the desert, it seems beautiful, even if most dangerous and foreign to what we are used to here. Though there are dangers to be had here as well." An ear flicks back and forward again,"You do not remember how you got here? I admit, I find that odd to hear as it does not sound like your home would be close and the journey certainly not a small one. Perhaps sometime it will come to you...Of flying, it is difficult to find words for it sometimes. It is more feelings, though the views...they are breath taking at times...and a reminder of the fullness of the world. Down here, ther eis but the next clump of trees to see, up there....there are trees as far as the eye can see. "

Abloec watches Eidel herd the other stallion Pakwa along, smiling a little, something about that reminding him of a mother and her foal. Shaking his head and smiling, hoping that he did run into her again. He had enjoyed their walk, and their conversation. He hoped they would become good friends in time. Turning to the purple mare, more sure that to ware her out he would have to exhaust himself in the process, but instead he smiles charmingly at her and gave a joking wink. "I'll go easy on you then." His manner playful in doing that, rather than over confident or cocky.
"Smaller beauties are perfectly fine too, I was discribing my home that was all. But here.... I remember the first time I saw a tree in bloom, nthing big or majestic about it, just a small tree growing as all small things do. But it was still beautiful, with its soft blossoms..." Thinking that he probably sounded silly to her, but he had found many beautiful things since he had arrived here. Smiling at Leotie, thinking that when spring came there was a place he wanted to show her.
Moving up to her side and nodding as they start to walk. "Being young at heart is a good thing, though he could use a little less energy." Smiling as they walk, thinking she was probably right about the stallion, but then was that so bad as long as he was happy. "What would you like to hear about the desert? I can tell you anything you want to know, or if you just want to hear tales of its dry hostile beauty I can do that too." Actually able to get quite poetic when talking of something close to his heart. "The few bits I remember are that I was at the oasis, looking for a treat for my mother, she was expecting another foal. Then something stung me... after that I don't remember anything... Though theres a weird dream I had, I was somewhere with square white clouds on sticks, and I couldn't get up... I know it sounds like a crazy dream." Shrugs having been drugged, not realising that the dream was the brief moment he had woken up on the ship.
Smiling at her. "When I imagine flying, I picture it being like finding the higest hill with no trees on and laying on it or standing. But on something soft so it feels like your lighter. You can see everything around for miles while the wind tugs at your mane and tail." Shaking his head sure he sounded like a day dreaming fool. "Thats just what I imagine anyway... Its probably wrong. But unless I sprout wings I'll never get to find out. Smiling at him, clearly a desire in him to see things through her eyes, but there was no sign of envy or resentment that he was grounded and she was free as a bird. The cover across his back, brushed her wings slightly as they walked. Him shifting slightly so that the cover and the beads settled into a more comfortable position.
(Sorry for the really late reply, am still having net troubles)
