 Abloec had wandered far, no longer close to the river he had ventured into the woods. Settleing under the shade of a tree to relax, sighing deeply in the grass. Very similar in colour to the grass, only the splashes of red on his back and the red glasses over his eyes clearly showing up in the shaded green. Napping quietly, his green mane having drifted over his glasses.

It had been a long morning, exploring about the forest and now Eidel was just hoping to find a few of the tastier bits found near the base of the trees. A little spongy like, but they always had the best flavour when they could be found.
Eidel slowly slowly snuffles her way around the base of several trees finding nothing at all. Moving along the to the next, she began the same slow check to try and sniff out some of the tasty treats and all there was the smell of dirt and moss and...tail? A few of the green hairs of the napping stallion's tail getting caught up in a sniff and tickling the mare's nose...ending in quite the snort. As a bit more attention was made, Eidel rather did see that it wasn't just a mound of grass there after all causing a bit of a startle as she scrambled backwards with stomp of a hoof and a few sneezes, trying to get over the tickle in her nose.

Abloec wakes at the snort, lifting his head and looking round, groggy and disorientated. Yawning and shaking his head, his mane clearing his eyes. Looking round again, seeing the mare (or filly?) a short distance away. Standing with a stretch as he watches her, seeing she was in the middle of sneezing or coughing. Not sure but getting the feling this had something to do with him.
Moving closer he gently presses his nose against the end of hers, hoping to help ease the tickle that was making her want to sneeze. Looking up as he does this hoping that it helps.

The mare inwardly chided herself for making such a racket, cause now it was woken and moving..and it wasn't...scary looking. Not like those Kalona sorts, least she'd heard they were scary looking. So maybe that wasn't so bad...But surely it was rude to have gone snuffing up another's tail and...out came another sneeze. Oh why wouldn't the tickle go away.
There was another small step backwards as Eidel's head was given a shake in time with a sneeze, trying to get over the whole matter. But it just wasn't giving up easily and then he was right there before her and pressing his nose into her and....it was easing up but alas...baby sneeze! With his nose right there too. It seemed to be the last though as Eidel manages a small cough after and a mumbled,"Sorry."

Abloec chuckles softly not minding in the least. "No need to worry about it." His voice deep and gentle, seeming rather relaxed about the whole thing. Trying not to seem too amused, not wanting to upset her. Tilting his head smiling in a gentle friendly way, waiting for her to feel better.
"I'm Abloec." Introducing himself after she had recovered from her sneezing. "Are you ok?" Tilting his head mane falling over one side of his shades again, causing him to shake his head to clear his vision. That not lasting long, the mane falling back into place. Giving in with a semi shrug and smiling at this new friend he had just met.

The urge for a bit of a snort to declare an end to all the sneezing is repressed with the stallion yet nose to nose with her. "I am still sorry...couldn't quite manage to keep that last one in. And for disturbing your nap there, I hadn't realized there was someone about the tree there." A curled lock falling along her face after she manages a small shake of her head.
"It is nice to meet you Abloec, that is a rather interesting name. I am Eidel." A small step back is managed as the mare bobs her head a touch,"Yes, yes. I am it was just your tail, it tickled my nose when I went snuffing about the tree...which I should have paid a bit more attention, but it...you really..rather blended quite into the grass there. " Her tail giving a small little swish-swish to send along a fly as it buzzes near. "I am sorry for disturbing you like that. It was a bit clumsy of me."

Having stayed put as she backed up a little, letting her have her space. "Eidel, an unusual name also, I am very happy to meet you Eidel." Smiling warmly, genuinely meaning that he was happy to meet her. Not having had much luck making friends.
Abloec surpresses the grin that was trying to spread across his face. "Yes, I'm am mostly grass colourd, but I have found the parts that arent green are usually where folk walk, I try to just keep out the way when I rest. I'm sorry that my tail caused trouble for you though." Not seeming to mind the interuption, much more interested in company and conversation.

Eidel steps to a more polite distance, now that her nose did not tickle any more, thanks to this newly met friend's help. Giving a bit of a smile herself, a hint of sheepishness yet...For being rather intrusive to his day and all the sneezing.
Eidel bobbed her head a little,"That is true...most do tend to walk the paths..that is kind of how the paths came to be and the grass worn from it. But the tasty bits are not on the paths, I was looking for these little things...they seem to grow most around the base of trees. That is why I was snuffling around them and ran along into you and your tail. I really should have been paying more attention. Though you are new to the area, as I have not seen you about before, and I wander these trees often enough." Eidel now curious about where the stallion might be from and a new addition to the area.

Abloec took in this information, standing relaxed where he was. "Are you talking about truffles?" Tilting his head trying to think, sure it would be those or mushrooms, his expression thoughtful. Suddenly grinning, "They are tasty but I admit I usually prefer the yummies in the trees."
Rearing up high on his hind legs, having some green horns pointing back from his head, hooking them on a branch above him. Lowering back to all four legs, the branch sliding though his horns, leaving him with a bumch of cherries on his head. Grinning and laughing at his new hat. "That didn't quite go to plan..." Looking sheepish but still smiling, not seeming to mind.
"Yes I am new here, not having much luck though, I came from by the river, and before that... Somewhere else..." Thinking about where he had grown up, it having been more desert than forests. Getting used to the change, still wearing the cherry hat.
"Would you mind helping me untangle them from my horns? There all yours if you like cherries." Kneeling down so she could see where the cherry stems were tangled around the horns, putting his head on the ground.

The mare's head canted at the question, looking slightly quizzical,"Truffles? No, I don't know truffles. These are mushrooms. There are a couple different ones, some don't sit well in the stomach, so you have to be careful and make sure to snuff them to ensure they are the right ones...well once you manage to actually find any. " It is all a very tricky business, finding mushrooms and figuring which are good and which aren't.
Eyes blink and Eidel startles back a step when Abloec raises up into a rear..and comes back down with a branch caught up in his horns for a moment. The odd new crown that results has her stepping back forward and peering a little," Well..that is certainly easier in getting those. " Curiously asking,"What had been the plan if not that? As you did seem to get those off quite effortlessly." Sniffing a little in the direction of the freshly picked fruit that rests atop his head.
"Not having much luck? Luck with what?" Eidel swishes her tail a bit,"I've gone down by the river a few times, it can be a nice cool place to be come summer. But just not as much shelter in the winter. " Considering the various pros and cons to staying there more often then her foresty home.
"Oh, yes, certainly...I can help get them along and off." Though the horns are eyed just a little, more with a edge of curiosity then anything else. Not having quite run into anyone with horns before...least not a sqouili..goats...deer..Sure. Eidel steps back in to carefully nose off the various cherries that have caught themselves up on his horns. Speaking words about the work,"They are good, quite sweet. Though some are surely yours for having retrieved them. I usually have to settle for the low hanging ones or those that fall on the ground. "

Abloec smiled. "I will find you some truffles to try, they are different from mushrooms but taste different." Staying still while she gets the cherries off his head. "I had planned that they not get all tangled up, but nevermind." Seeming relaxed, this kind of daft mishap common for him, having had to find odd ways of getting things off his horns before. The fact they pointed back made it harder to shake things off.
Straightening up again as the last of the fruit comes off. "Not much luck in finding others, I'm wondering if they are all hiding." He bent his head munching a mouthful of the jucy cherries, clearly enjoying them. "Mmmm... The river is very different from what I am used to, but then everything here is." Looking around again.

"Oh, that would be delightfully fun. Are they hard to find? Like the mushrooms? Though I suppose they aren't hard exactly, just there aren't many and so you have to look and look around a bunch of trees before any are there to be found." Chattering on away as Eidel worked the cherries on off his horns, carefully so not wanting to catch herself on one by doing something silly. She just didn't need a muzzle piercing, thank you very much. "There, all off." Stepping back a bit so he could get back up with out having to worry about smacking into her.
The teal eyes blinked a bit at that,"You've been looking for others? Well yes...just randomly wandering would be..well random on whether you found someone or not. There are others about, and they can be found along the river or amongst the trees. Just depend son the area, like me and a few others, we hand about this area some and near our two leggers covering. She keeps more to herself then some of them. But she gives a fine scritching between the ears. If you'd want to, I could introduce you to those others...not right certain we're quite a herd cause we don't pack around and all like a proper herd...but seem kind of like a dysfunctional little family most of the time, each going our own ways. " Dropping her head to munch on a couple of the cherries after he'd taken the first mouthful, he'd done most all the work in retrieving them after all.
"It is very different? How so? What sort of place are you used to? More like the meadows with their little ponds?" Eidel not knowing much else besides the forest and near river by all rights. The stray stumbling into the meados that exist here or there. But she was not a well traveled mare in the least.

Abloec finds himself smiling as she chatters, having missed conversation allot, her free way od speaking charming. "There not hard to find if you know where to look, I'll show you how to find them, that way you can get more if you like them."
He nods at her first question. "Seemd the best idea, I'm here alone, no 2 or 4 legged companions. Especially with this being different from home, I thought some local help would be sensable, but I have managed so far." Grining puffing up a little, kind of pleased with himself for this
"I come from the desert, very hot and dry, lots of sand. Very different from what I have seen here so far." Looking round at all the green, not used to bleding in with the surroundings.

"I would be delighted to learn how to find them, even if I don't like them as much as my mushrooms. It'd be fun just to learn and try something knew. A bit of a little learning adventure." The idea truly seeming to please the mare.
"Oh, I do agree there. It is sensible to check up with the people local to an area, even different parts of the forest sometimes. Some folk get awful territorial and aren't to keen on visitors, so heads up about those places is always good. Though I'd certainly be glad to show you abot this little area and answer any questions you have. I think Pakwa has done a far bit more traveling and might be able to tell you more about some of the other areas and all. Though he's a little..." the mare pausing as she tries to search for the right word..that'd be polite.." energetic."
Eidel's head can'ts to the side, her mane sliding about with the shift,"Sand? There is some on the one part of the river...but it is not so hot or dry..though I suppose the areas further away from the river are a bit dryer, harder to walk in too. If the desert is like walking on that, I don't think that'd be all to very much fun at all. Quite tiring. Better to be here where the ground is firmer." Eyes blink a couple of times,"Or do you find yourself wishing to be back there, since that is where you are from?" The inquiry made with a measure of curiosity. Not having ever been far from home, Eidel cannot fathom..well..being away.
