Sure, he was the guide, but he was no leader. He knew they wouldn't listen to him, and he was so used to Mara ignoring him that he doubted his words would do any good.
So he could only watch and wait, hoping that they would solve their problems without bloodshed.
Still. There was something about the Mage that didn't seem natural at all.
Silently, Regnes pondered what it could mean.
((Azzy, you ever going to reply to Meaddoy? Or is Marax going to abandon Sora like he did last time she was in a crisis? -.- And omg! Valiance completely ingnored the guy with the katana. Seems there was another guy who was acting tough. Oh well. Valiance hoped he wouldn't need to show them who was the powerful one. However what Harabe had said was right. They needed to temporarily cease arguments or the mission would never get completed. Valiance just stood there with his arms crossed while dark magic provided a cover from the rain for him. He hoped the mission would hurry up and get started. Were they waiting for someone else or something? ((well then, let's get started soon. It's after midnight here :3 ))

((I'll do it ok...I have Calculus though D: stupid math, what use is it?)) Harabe Cisimlendirmek Traitor Tangu Demon So tell me where were you When everything fell down like thunder
Slowly lowering his katana, Harabe turned to Regnes.
"Now on that note...when is the mission going to start?"
He didn't release his katana at all, his grip was still as firm as it was before, signifying no change in his angry demeanor.
I begged you to pull me through I couldn't get out from under

"I know not," he finally replied, gazing at the rolling storm clouds. The thunder rolled and boomed, but they weren't crashing yet. The skies weren't pitch black yet.
The tension wasn't ready yet.

Jordan Lune ☆═━┈All the constant Super color motion Burning senses┈━═☆ Jordan tilted her head to the side at the question directed at her. Where would this Elementalist get that idea from? Wasn't she cheerfully giggling at the rain? It didn't seem to her that she gave off the air of someone very angry. Maybe the question had thrown her? Ah well! It wasn't important. "No. I don't mind it at all," she giggled. "In fact, I like the rain."
What Jordan didn't like, was useless fighting. Like all of this dumb crap going on right now. "I agree with Harabe. At this rate, I'm going to be really happy if the big fish-thing eats you!" she announced, before settling down and maturing a bit. Jeeze. Peace-keeping was such a pain when people without teamwork skills signed up for quests was such a pain. First, she addressed the Phoenix. "Would you please tell us your name? It makes it easier for battle." Logic was good, right? That was what her older brother, Easton, had always said. He was pretty good on brains too. Better than her at least. With a sigh, she then turned to face the mage. "Nobody here cares who you are, or why you are here, so please stop being a supremist jerk. You're not very scary, especially not to someone you can't kill!" By this, she was obviously referring to Valiance, though she didn't know his name yet. Really, the only cases she had ever heard of where a Phoenix died, was when another Phoenix killed them, or when they got some weird disease. Maybe old age too, but she couldn't remember for the life of her if they had a limit to their life cycles.
"Can we please work together now? It'll be dangerous if we don't."

 Guele Saleh Human -Mage-
Saleh smiled when Jordan called him out. It was logic at the base form, though it was wrong logic. He had done nothing of the sort where supremacy was concerned. And he hadn't acted like others ought to care who he is.
"Too true," he conceded, meeting her eyes. "Let me prove useful, then. Regnes--" he was now looking sidelong at the guide, "--would you have me hurry this storm along to a more critical point? It's very dreary, waiting."
So ignoring was how Saleh planned to make the problem of two inefficient fighters go away. Sure, they were angry at his display, but unlike Harabe, Saleh had not lost his temper, and unlike Valiance, he had not gone and made a visible display of his power.
Yet.
Actually, more than anything, the entire situation was comical to him. Saleh enjoyed unmasking his companions' personalities--it was the quickest way to know them.
Saleh suspected that Valiance was a self-absorbed person with only conceit for others, but silence was always more difficult to penetrate than raw emotion. The rolled eyes had tipped the mage off, but he couldn't be sure just yet.
Harabe had a temper. He also believed himself superior to others, but it was more of an as-they-come-basis thing than pure elitism.
Moreover, he wondered what they thought of him. Regardless of what they may think, the unnatural power that resonated detectably from his body was absolutely necessary, so that he could be here in physical form. Saleh was not about to discuss the nature of magic in-depth with any of them, though, so they would just need to wonder.

Valiance looked at Jordan and said "Well since you asked nicely, I will give it. My name is Valiance. Do try to remember it, I hate having to repeat myself" he said, not with a cocky attitude, but not exactly a friendly one either. Valiance wasn't here to make friends. He was here for potions ingredients.

 Guele Saleh Human -Mage-
"Separi Costo," Saleh mumbled. He could definitely serve as the leader, for lack of one. But some others were not followers. Saleh would leave them to their own. Looking up, now, he grinned once more. A bolt of lightning challenged the ground. It failed, but the barrier between two opposing worlds was finally unleashed.
The wind became far more severe. Valiance's rain shield would be ineffective now. The thundering became drastically louder. Lightning flashed near-continuously. The sea churned. The trees wavered, leaned, threatened to collapse.
A mild rainstorm was now a furious tempest.

Harabe Cisimlendirmek Traitor Tangu Demon So tell me where were you When everything fell down like thunder
Harabe sighed shallowly and strung his katana from his hip, allowing himself a moment of reprieve before the battle came.
"Ignoring any hostilities...what are each of your strengths? I myself am rather adept with this blade, any blade to be precise, and have access to a few choice spells if the need must come"
He absentmindedly undid his blade and sat cross-legged on a rock that was near the shore, the water crashing and spraying upwards around him. He placed the katana across his lap with the blade out, and seemed to be meditating, an aura surrounding him that at moments could appear to be darkened feathers. Even in the rainfall and winds he seemed calm and collected.
I begged you to pull me through I couldn't get out from under

Jordan Lune ☆═━┈All the constant Super color motion Burning senses┈━═☆ Jordan smiled weakly at the tension that still hung in the air. Jeeze. This quest wasn't going to be fun at all. Not with a pretentious and show-off of a Mage whose very being seemed designed to push others into the mud, a grumpy and 'look-at-me-I'm-so-mysterious-and-dangerous' type Phoenix who had thankfully given his name to her, and a pretty short-fused Demon with an impossible to pronounce last name. Well...he wasn't so bad she supposed. She didn't exactly have the longest of fuses herself.
"Well, I'm an Inu, so take your best guess on my fighting skills," she giggled, as though she hadn't been fairly harshly judging the ruder and more tempermental members of the group in her head only moments before. Jordan had been raised to be nice and kind. If you ain't got nothing nice to say, then you're better off sayin nothin.
Hmm, in her assessment of the group, she left out two members. The remaining duo seemed okay. Regnes was a bit too quiet for her tastes, but she was fairly obnoxious she supposed. She kinda wished that he was a bit more a leader though. Then he could scold these childish men and get it over with. Then there was the Water girl. She seemed sweet enough, what with her worrying over if Jordan liked the rain or not. She was quiet too.☆═━┈I think you're slipping American Coca-Cola Sugar Sweetness 1963┈━═☆

"Darkness and fire spells, though I doubt fire spells would be usefull on this mission" Valiance replied, trying to cover himself as much as possible from the wind and rain, "I'm also well adept with potions, medicines, and poisons". Valiance didn't want to use up any more of his power to increase his shield. In fact, he made his weather protection shield go away. He would just have to bear the weather. He had a sword as well, but didn't use it much. Might as well tell the others his skills. They'd probably need him.

 Guele Saleh Human -Mage-
"I have no physical combat skills to speak of," Saleh said to no one in particular, still looking up. "My spells are not what you'd call rudimentary. They aren't hindered by a single element, either." He did not mention that he could accurately predict the future at any time with little effort.
As things went, Saleh had known how this whole conversation would end, and how each would interact. With his true self recuperating, now was not the time to worry about being polite.
In this state, the mage had a little more resistance to his primary personality trait of politeness. This dangerous act was how alter-egos were formed.
"When do we start?"

Water gives life. It announces birth, fills the rivers, feeds the plants which feed us. It is the everything. ((OOC: Jesus, I was only gone a day!)) Opheila ignored everything that was going on around her, not even catching Jordan's reply, much less any of the arguing. Her focus was entirely on the coming storm. After a moment or two, she began to frown. "Something is not right," she murmured - her words meant only for Lunos, but it was quite possible that someone else might overhear. "What is that?" She didn't refer to the storm. The storm was, at least partially, of her own creation. But there was...something. She could feel something that was off about the area they were in. She had even forgotten about the mage in her attempt to unmask whatever it was she was feeling. "Lunos?" she asked when her familiar said nothing. "I know not," the sea snake replied finally, rising to speak softly into her ear. "But you are right. Something is wrong here."Opheila finally tuned in to the group around her, and realized they were waiting for her. "I'm not great with physical combat either," she murmured. "I used to be able to handle daggers - I don't know if I'm very good with them anymore. Lunos and I..." She didn't like to talk about what she could do - it felt like bragging. Bragging was something so entirely foreign to Opheila's nature that even the idea of it embarrassed her. "We do water," was all she said. The others could figure it out from there. I will not use it to bring death. Not unless there is no other choice. Opheila Soletain, Water Elementalist.

Regnes looked up, fighting the natural urge to hiss and whine at the rain. He was a warrior, but that didn't mean he had to like the elements.
He turned his gaze from the sky to the water that was - formerly lapping peacefully - now lashing at the stone he was standing on, the waves rolling and crashing violently against the shore.
Turning, he leaped up and changed into his jaguar form in midair, landing softly on the sand that was still dry and turning back around to look at the sea.
"It shouldn't be too long now..." he breathed, shifting nervously. "I can barely hear myself think..."
Sure enough, a few minutes later, the water farther out to sea began to shift unnaturally, shifting and turning before beginning to rotate into a violent whirlpool.
Regnes' eyes widened.
"What is that?!"
Then a mighty creature burst from the bowels of the ocean, roaring mightily as its appearance sent a massive wave crashing towards the shore. Lightning flashed - giving the barest sight of the creature - but the darkness of the storm kept the absolute appearance of the monster a mystery.
Regnes leaped away to bound up the nearest cliff side as the wave reared up and began to curl directly above their heads.
